Enough so that it's my main hotel wherever I visit Kingsport. Location - 5 out of 5 - beautiful views of the mountains but also easy access to the highways. There are restaurants and fast food nearby if needed. The building - 4 out of 5 - well maintained and clean. The rooms have reasonable wear but were in good condition. Comfort - 3 out of 5 - about what you would expect from a hotel bed and pillows. The room I stayed in this time (415) was rather large which was nice. Room amenities - 4 out of 5 - basic amenities such as microwave, fridge, coffee, and basic toiletries. What I really liked was the number of outlets. A total of about 10 in the room and 2 on each side of the bed. Also had basic USB in at least 3 of them (no USB-C). Though I didn't use either, they do have a pool and gym. Service - 3 out of 5 - everyone that I came into contact with was friendly, but then again I didn't come into contact with many people. Food - 3 out of 5 - basic breakfast food, nothing flashy. Always have hot options as well as cereal, yogurt, fruit. They switch up the hot options for those staying longer than a night. If visiting Kingsport, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

I placed the do not disturb door hanger outside for my appointment and yet at 9:15 there was banging on my door from housekeeping. This is not acceptable considering I had the door placard on the handle and it was before I had checked out. About the front desk service, I called to make my reservation and was quoted one price (90/night) but charged another (99/night) when I checked in. My card was charged before I signed the receipt where the increased room amount was written in small print. It was also not explained to me what I was signing. It was suggested that it was related to the pet fee. While it was only $9, the lack of transparency of prices will cause me to hesitate using Wyndham again. Lastly, while trying to figure out the increased charge I asked for my receipt multiple times and was refused until I made a formal customer complaint. In the same breath, I repeatedly tried to add my rewards number to my booking which was also refused. Everything regarding the staff was shady and left a bad taste in my mouth.

She said she only had 1 rm left and it was a smoking room but I figured with the A/C on it would be okay for 1 night. The room was neat but on close inspection the covers had burn holes and stains but sheets appeared clean. The towels felt a bit damp and appeared dirty as if no soap or bleach was used yet and still they are not serving breakfast due to COVID. I also found a bug of some sort crawling on the bathroom shower curtain and public hairs here and there. The TV is quite small but there is a small fridge and tiny microwave. By the way, upon pulling up and entering my room there are people standing outside talking and smoking pot. I'm tired and still going to bed. The A/C is cranking and I am thankful for that.
