TW: PHYSICAL THREATENING, VIOLENCE, VERBAL ABUSE
Today being the first business day following Christmas, I was expecting an extremely important phone call. Well, that call came as I was driving and I did what anyone would do -- I pulled over. And made a huge mistake in doing so.
With a fussy little one with me I chose to step outside my car to take the call so I can hear. Within 90 seconds of putting my vehicle in park I have a Middle Aged Indian man screaming "no" at me. That's it.. just "no" over and over. I was confused and disoriented, and assumed it had nothing to do with me until he got physically close. I have no idea what provoked this man, but I asked him if he was speaking to me, to change his tone, and explain what his problem was. He continued to approach and at this point I am physically terrified that he is going to try and hurt me. So I shout back that he needs to calm down, stop coming toward me and as I retreat to my vehicle i am trying to get him to explain what his issue is. Would he like me to leave? Who even is this person? Does he own the place? I have no idea. He's going on and on about me trespassing, which I didn't believe I was, standing beside my car in a parking lot. I was taking a simple phone call that was actually quite urgent and I harmlessly pulled over so I could focus.
He is cussing at me, telling me to fuck off, get the fuck out of here and never fucking come back, threatening to call the police and telling me he will remove me if he has to. The Jersey girl in me gave him a "fuck you, you psycho!" As I locked myself in my car and drove off.
Please please please don't ever stay here. Don't even pull in. The place is absolutely disgusting and filthy on the outside you are much better off staying at any number of hotels within 5 minutes. You'll save yourself the exposure of much filth, the threat of physical violence and the fear that the lunatic who owns the place will harm you. There were two other women who arrived right after me and got out of their car as the incident went down. They too got into their cars and left, one saying "oh hell no we are not staying here."
Do yourself a favor, stay safe by staying somewhere else! read more
