Update on my review of motel 6 on Riverdale. Since I called corporate office yesterday today I find out that I'm on their do not rent list. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life and I will be calling corporate again in the morning before they kick me out at 11:00. The two guys that work the night shift are the greatest but the woman in the daytime has the worst service I've ever experienced in my life and she has no business working in hospitality. read more

Motel 6 in Ogden Utah was terrible,the management was awful...the son was yelling and cursing at the older lady,which was his mother and took forever to get us our room. Then whe. We got to our room our heater didn't work we called and he gave us a new room,then we go to our new room and the t.v. doesn't work so we call him and he says it's after hours so he can't fix it........Terrible hospitality!!! Don'tet the price convince you. This place isn't inexpensive, it's CHEAP! One bath towel, no kleenex, no hand towel, no soap, no shampoo, the "blanket" was paper thin and afforded no warmth, the sink had a spray nozzle that soaked everything. Had an extremely strange experience at this motel6 on 7/8/22. My husband had booked a room for himself. I was picking up our 15 year old daughter in the parking lot when he was moving into his room. My daughter told me that the front desk had to have her Driver's License a few minutes before I arrived. She wasn't even staying there at motel6. Why do you need a minor child's private information? I only see the fact that now you have everything you need to get her SS# and steal her identity. I called to find out just now and front desk phone rang for over 3 minutes without anyone answering. Usually not bothered by thin walls, but here it is DEAL-BREAKING ISSUE! When adjacent rooms are occupied by working ladies with a 15 minute client turn-around the annoyance of thin walls soon came into sharp focus. No offense meant to anyone, but the type of professional frequenting this place (based on my limited observations) make the thin walls a travesty and make it difficult to ever feel like you are getting an adequately clean bed. Of course the shame of it is that the hotel seemed modestly clean, the staff friendly and responsive. If i stayed again (NO THANK YOU!), and knowing what i do now, I'd have reported to the front desk immediately when disturbing noises from the neighbors start up at 9:30 on the nose and continued in 15 minute intervals. But, I don't know... It all feels so yuck that I'm not sure I could stomache another stay. read more

Absolutely disgusting place to stay. Carpets were not vacuumed. There was used soap and a used disposable razor in the shower, pink spots on all the towels, shower didn't drain even after removing the plug, the lobby and entire motel reaked of smoke, wet animals, and mold. We had to pay to gain access to wifi, and even then it wasn't even 1 Mbps. It tested at .5mbps or less. I realize this is a "budget" motel but every motel, budget or elegant, should be clean and free from these problems. My wife and I will never even think about staying at this motel again. You would be far better off paying the extra to get free wifi, a clean room, and, oh yeah, at least a continental breakfast included. This place is ridiculous. read more

We've stayed at several motel 6s as we drive across the country with two small dogs (their pet policy is the easiest!) and this was the nicest Motel 6 we have stayed at. The front desk clerk, a young man, was exceedingly professional and kind to the rude couple trying to barter with him on rates ahead of me in the lobby line. Check-in was swift and easy, and he checked us out the next morning as well. The room was modern if a bit spartan, clean, and quiet. Motel 6 is not a Hilton but we have stayed at some terrible ones and this one is unbeatable for the price. read more

This is by far the best motel 6 around. The rooms are very large for an economy place. It is away from the inner city so you don't get all the foot traffic that others get. Staff is also super friendly! read more

We booked this place for two nights since we recently sold our house and needed a place to stay that was close to work. Rooms are bare minimum and smell like poorly covered up smoke and something else I can not put my finger on. (Possibly musty paint) The second day I came back after work to and my key would not work. The lady at the front desk was very rude and would not give me a new key. I had to wait for my wife to get off work. Neither key would work and they charged me for a cheap new room key. She never checked my wife's ID that she claimed she needed. My wife was so upset she wanted to take a loss on the room and go somewhere else because of how rude the lady at the front desk was. . Tolerable pet-friendly room, though it took me a while to figure out that the window was not securely closed and THAT was why the room was so chilly.... Also, they seem to have built on a shared lot where large trucks and machinery are stored -- Kind of like a hotel in the middle of an impound lot. As with other Motel 6 stops, they will attempt to charge you to use their wi-fi network, and you'll have to bring your own breakfast...lol. By the time you find a Starbucks to check your email, and scrounge up breakfast -- you might as well have coughed up the extra $10 for a real hotel. I think this is my last Motel 6. They seem to be attempting to define the difference between economy and cheap-cheap-cheap. read more

One star for the atrocious customer service we received upon check out. We stayed at this motel last night on our way through Utah on a long road trip from California to Montana. We had been camping along the way and this was our first hotel stop. I also felt like I was catching a cold... so it was nice to finally have a bed to sleep in. The room was clean and it looks like they had recently modernized the place. We had a great stay until checkout. I had brought all my stuff up to the room with me to reorganize my things, so upon checkout I had three trips to make down to the car. My stepdad had gone outside to make a phone call and I was left in the room by myself. By this point, it was after noon. Checkout was at noon. I knew I was running behind, but it had never been a problem at any other motel I've stayed. I just had to grab my shoes and then get my stuff down to the truck and we were outta there. At 12:25pm, there was a knock at the door. I answered. There was a unkempt older man and slovenly older woman standing there. Come to find out, their names are LuWayne and Marty. I greeted LuWyane and Marty. I apologized that I was running late and I let them know I would be out in a minute. They told me that I need to be out immediately in a super angry tone. I was very surprised at the way they were treating me. I told them that I was on my way out and had to make three trips with all of my stuff. They didn't care and said I needed to "get out immediately." They said I didn't have a few minutes. At that point, I opened the door, invited them in, and asked if they would like to help me carry my things down because it was impossible for me to "get out now." Marty then said that he was going to call the cops on me and have them haul me out of the motel. REALLY? SERIOUSLY??? Over 25 minutes???! Does that warrant a call to the police station when I'm already leaving? It's not as if I was refusing to leave! I was just running late and had two much stuff with me. I couldn't just "get out now." When I was on my way to the truck, I ran into a couple who Marty and LuWayne had done the same exact thing to. They told they couple that they were calling the police on them for being in the room after noon. Apparently, this Motel 6 makes a practice of treating their visitors like toilet scum and they make regular threats to call the police on people if they can't quite make it out before noon. This is absolutely appalling. Marty and LuWayne should be embarrassed of their behavior and Motel 6 should be ashamed to have people like this representing their brand name. I am so upset by the way these two people treated me (as well as the other couple in the parking lot) that I am going to make a call to their headquarters and speak to them about this. The way we were treated today is NOT OK. That behavior should not be tolerated. We were paying customers. Not cool. read more

The bedding and towels were the only things clean. The rooms stink like human feces and the hall stunk like poorly covered smoke. There is rust in the tub which isn't that big of a deal except the bathroom smells like something died. Me and my friend within an HOUR, went to target to get candles because the smell was so unbearable. It isn't clear how well cleaned this room was even with Covid, as there was a pule of dirt on the floor upon arrival. I went to put clothes in the dresser and wiped it down to be safe and the Clorox wipes turned brown even though the drawers are white on the inside. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant, and seeing her interact with other customers it is clear that she has to put up with a lot. The best part was on the second night we found a cockroach. The reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of one was only because of the nice lady at the front desk. Would not recommend unless you are trying to hide something. read more

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Room smelled of insecticide so strong it made it hard to breath. When my wife spoke to the male manager he practically accosted my wife and another guest had to tell him he is acting crazy. I had the police called on me and kicked out of my room because of a series of errors made by the front desk and the general manager of this hotel. I have NEVER been treated worse in my entire life by hotel management than this hotel. I paid for two nights and when I came back for the second night, all my belongings had been taken out of the room, which included diabetes medicine that I need. I went down to the front desk to sort this out and instead they called the police and said I had to leave. I pointed out that I paid for two nights and wanted a refund, and the front desk person said I paid for one. Then he checked it and said, "Oh, you paid for two but you have to leave. If you want a refund you can talk to the manager in the morning. " Unbelievable. Stay away from these VERY RUDE, INFLEXIBLE, AND INCOMPETENT PEOPLE!!! Would give a zero star rating. Didn't even make it into the room. We were met at the front desk by a terribly rude woman. Upon questioning one of their policies for clarification she simply requested we leave the premises and then cancelled our reservations. She simply didn't have the time to help us sort things out. The staff would not let us check in early even when we offered to pay for the extra day. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude. We got our room and it was disgusting. The blankets on the beds were disgusting, the walls were dirty, toilet hadn't been cleaned as well as the shower, the ac unit couldn't keep up with the heat. To cap it all off we are pretty sure a man and a prostitute got the room next to us. I will never use this hotel again. read more

Located SE of the I-84/I-15 interchange in Ogden, Motel 6 is basic lodging at a great price. Breakfast isn't included, but at 45 dollars, there's plenty of money left over for dinner. The night we spent felt extra safe with three cop cars out front. We spent a quiet night. Coffee in the lobby and a cheerful staff brightened up the spartan accommodations. read more

Pushing it for 3 stars. Every other place we had stayed had SOMETHING for breakfast, even if only a bagel or donut, no matter the nightly rate. Wifi was extra, and the towels were really, really cheap. Beds were ok, and we eventually had hot water. We came out to Utah from California for my stepson's birthday party. The staff was so accommodating. We ended up not checking in until after 230 in the morning which was not an issue for them at all. We stayed for 2 nights. The second night we ended up bringing my stepson back to the room with us to stay the night and Amy and Michelle went out of their way to switch us rooms so there would be enough beds for all of us. It was one of the better Motel 6s that I have stayed at fairly clean and didn't have any massive red flags. As always no free wifi or breakfast and the free coffee isn't to great, but I wasn't perturbed because all we were looking for was a place to crash. My husband and I have a giant trailer that we are towing so the big spacious parking lot was welcomed. Probably would stay a night here again if the budget called for it. read more

Well, can I put less than one star??? My friend booked a non-smoking room, but people all around our room smoked cigs AND pot around our doorstep and entryway. There was a couple and their mother, with five kids staying next door to us, yes, the couple was smoking pot, in a double Queen room! Lots of noise! Then on the other side of us was a woman who approached us at the pool who wanted to know how much we paid for our room, what room we were staying in, wanted to know if we wanted to have a drink with her, and after seeing my friend and noticing the amount of gold and diamonds she had on, wanted to know if she could "hug her". Now, she didn't ask me if she could hug me, mind you, but I wasn't wearing any jewelry, sad day! Then there were the drug deals in the parking lot. These people thought they were very clever! Someone would pull up in a car, go to a hotel door and knock, someone from the room comes out , goes and sits in the car--gets drugs/leaves money, smokes some pot(usually), then goes back to room, initial driver comes out and leaves. While at the pool, one young man was vaping pot oil, turned on an offensive song, using offensive language, and throws a soccer ball in towards my friend and I to splashe us. We were laying out in the sun as far away from the pool as possible at the time! It was unsettling to say the least. When we tried to contact the General Manager of the property, he wanted nothing to do with us. We booked thru Expedia, contacted them and they have since escalated this situation. My friend contacted Motel 6 Corporate and they are escalating this situation as well. While we were at it, we contacted Riverdale, Utah, police department, and guess what??? They are fully aware of ongoing issues, such as above, going on at Riverdale Motel 6!!! They will be writing up an incident report and working the case. It would have been nice to know this information BEFORE WE BOOKED THIS RESERVATION!!! We booked this hotel because it had an outdoor pool and really no terrible reviews. Last Motel 6 either of us will ever go to!!! Beware of this folks!! read more

Motel 6 ' is the best most comfortable hotel I have ever been in - and I have been in a lot for a higher price. The rooms are so beautiful and they are great with pets. It is just amazing. I would recommend them for everyone, even people without pets. If I'm fighting with my husband, the room makes me feel like home, it makes me relax and feel really good because they have beautiful colors and new furniture inovations. read more

Nailbanger Here Again;Needed a room in Ogden UT and found this deal on AARP.Two Queens for $58 including tax for the Night.Ask for Non-Smoking and that what it said outside the door , but No Bueno. Defiantly a Smoker was there.On the other hand the price was unbeatable and they have remodeled everything nice and clean.Would go back for sure.The front Desk was helpful.Right off the Freeway with easy access and close to Fuel and Eats. read more
