In general, not too bad. Let's be honest: Motel 6 is one of those "you get what you pay for" chains. I was on my way from Southern CA to Idaho in late August 2022 with a youth group for an encampment we were attending, and we stayed at this Motel 6 twice (on the way there, and back). The price was good, between $88 and $100 for two-bed rooms (we rented five rooms each way). There is a military discount if you're eligible, but ask at check-in before they start ringing things up. The rooms were okay. I saw a strand of hair in the shower, and one in a towel. Pretty sure I saw one bed bug, but no complaints from the youth in our group. Floor and beds appeared clean, but the comforters were suspect. The pool was cool. The staff must have noticed our group on the camera, and brought out a big stack of pool towels, which was nice. There's a Denny's nearby (walking distance) that offers 10% off to motel guests. In general, this place got the job done, but NO WAY would I stay here on a vacation. read more

Yikes! I had a reservation here all was good till I went to my room and it smelt like a sewer. I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room she said they did not have any! It was just after 3 o'clock and all the guest had already came in? I'm not buying it. I cancelled my reservation. Not worth it staff acted like they where doing me a favor by having a room available. Most motel 6 are good but there are always going to be a few bad apples. This is one. Just really save yourself the time. read more

Have you ever been poor enough to not have a mattress but only have A set of box springs to sleep on, well, NEWS FLASH, the beds are all like this!! Place has New hard wood floors but the sheets and bedspread had stains on tbem....GROSS!!! Worst yet, the cheap Motel 6 aren't cheap anymore, OUR rate was 65.00...for this dump? Worst, Motel Cheap 6 dropped their AARP rate but sure kept their gun toting NRA rate....trashy from start to finish. read more

My room was clean and pleasant. The air conditioner worked well. There is no refrigerator in the room, so that was a bummer. The only big problem was this is a large facility, and there is no elevator. If you got a lot of stuff to carry, bring your own mule. read more

Don't do it! I read the ratings and thought it'll be ok....NOPE! Duvet covers stained and food substance stuck to them. Had to get my own blankets and pillows from our car. The pipe under the sink isn't connected to the wall! So when we went to wash our hands/ face and brush our teeth it flooded the bathroom. I don't feel that my vehicle is secure...... appears to be a "no so good area". The room smells, hair stuck in the towels, and 100% yuck all the way around! If my husband wasn't sick and awake, I'd leave. I'd rather drive the 6 hours home. Honest rating for honest people looking for a decent stay. read more

WARNING: DO NO STAY HERE. This place is gross. My company sent me here, so I didnt really have much choice. The rooms are unclean. There were bedbugs between the sheets. There was a half used bar of soap in the shower which was very dirty. There is a strong air freshener smell in the rooms, its like theyre covering up for not cleaning the carpets or something. Hairs in the sink. The list goes on and on. When I complained to the front desk, they put me in a different room which was no different. Motel 6 is not a chain, it is a franchised name brand. I have stayed in other Motel 6 hotels which were sufficient. The Motel 6 Ontario couldnt have been any worse. Its not worth saving a couple bucks a night to stay here. read more

Not a huge fan of Motel 6 but 5 stars for this one. Wonderful front desk staff. Very clean rooms and grounds. No fridges, room coffee or Microwave but coffee in the lobby. Quiet night. Firm but comfortable bed. And the biggest deal there was a Garth Brooks concert in a local town and an accident closing the freeway for 7 hours. Any available rooms were being jacked up to 600 to 900 dollars. These kind folks kept their regular prizes. A pleasant stay. read more

I hope she finds something better to pay her bills. She was the one and only thing I can say nice things about after staying at this rat trap! One word: MOUSE!!!!!! That's right there was a mouse in my room. It got right up on the bed that I was laying on in the morning. I had let my 1 year old son crawl on the floor the night before. Needless to say I had us packed up and out the door in less than 30 minutes. As I was packing that's when I saw the mouse poop. I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!!!!! Well, it's a Motel 6. Not the best; not the worst. As you'd expect with a Motel 6, it was populated with all manner of sleazy folks as well as everyday normal people just wanting cheap lodging. Room was clean, although it was a little loud with traffic on the 84 just behind the hotel. Really though, all I wanted was working AC, reasonably fast WiFi, and a clean bed. Motel 6 delivered all three, and for just $40. I was tempted to try the pool -- what with the temps above the 110° point -- but with the aforementioned sleazeballs beating me to it, I chose to remain in my refrigerated room. read more

Not clean. The bedding was stained and the towels were stained. The bedroom was full of bugs and the bathroom was full of pubes. I didn't really feel comfortable drying my face with a towel that had a big brown stain in the middle of it, or sleeping in crusty sheets. read more

If I hadn't been so damn tired after driving all night I would have found somewhere better to stay. What I needed was to sleep for a few hours before getting back on the road. The woman who checked me in was so rude. Anytime I asked her a question she would stick her finger in my face to silence me and she failed to mention the bugs. Oh the bugs... The whole room was covered in insects. It was absolutely disgusting!!! When I checked out I mentioned the bugs to the front desk person. If I could rate this Motel room a zero I actually would. I am so disgusted by this motel room first off, when I came in, I didn't see anything too strange. The beds were done neatly which was a great thing! But... when I walked into the bathroom it was a whole different story. The first thing I saw was the half-wasted used toilet paper roll. The toilet paper roll had some strange wrinkles on it but it looked like it had been dropped in the toilet before. When I compared the new and wrapped toilet paper roll on top of the toilet, I figured the old wrinkly toilet paper roll on the bar was used!!! After more searching the bathroom it was easy to find out that there was a HAIR inside and inserted inside the hand towels. When I had examined the sink, it was easy to spot a load of male hair on the sink! To mention, there was also hairs around the sink. After this mess, we figured that there must be something else so horrid and mind reek mess. As soon as I reached to grab the pillow sitting on the bed, I spotted not only one but TWO blood stains on the pillows once I examined the whole pillow it had HAIRS on it. When I had been morbidly disgusted by the shelf and microwave, the shelf had some type of strange brown crumbs with other mysterious things! The microwave was absolutely dirty! It had old brown drip and stains it didn't look clean at at. There was also some weird black thing on the plastic bag that they give you. After all these horrible things I'd like to say that the beds were done neatly the toilet looked clean. That's about it. Please take this review to thought! The hotel advertises acceptance of online credit charges for hotel rooms but on arrival they refused to accept online credit charges and demanded a cash payment. When I complained to Motel 6 corporate HQ they reversed their decision and returned my cash, then charged my card for the room. Upon checking out the next day I was informed by the hotel management that they were blacklisting me from their property in the future for complaining to corporate HQ on the violation of their own written policy. I am very disappointed that Motel 6 would allow such unprofessional conduct among their franchise managers. This whole incident has given Motel 6 a black eye from my perspective. read more

If I could leave a no star review I would have. I stayed here when I was in Ontario for business..if my company hadn't been paying for it, I would have changed hotels right away. Let me start by saying the staff was very nice but the owner was so rude and not helpful AT ALL!...he acted like his guests were an inconvenience. My room was located in the back of the hotel quite close to the "gutting" station for hunters to gut and dispose of their kills..which led to my room being overwhelmed w flies and other insects.. Keep in mind it's well into October and even the cold weather didn't stop the flies.. It was unbearable. Flies carting God knows what diseases after feeding on dead animals. I'm a woman in my mid 20s so let me just say.. It was terrifying to walk to the ice machine bc of all the sketchy type people hanging around the place. Cat calling and just general sexual harassment from the certain type of sleazy "guests" staying there made my skin crawl. The room was not clean.. Stained sheets, blankets and mattresses. I found some brown blob of who knows what attached to one of the pillows. Thank god I brought my own. Mold all over the bathroom and no shampoo or any amenities what's so ever. I had to request an iron and ironing board since the room didn't come w one..the iron was crusted w something and the board looked as if it contained some serious bodily fluids. I would never stay here again if you paid me. Please don't put yourself through what I dealt w for 6 days. read more

I stayed here a few days ago. It was a perfectly fine experience for me. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was very nice. The only complaint i had was that the shower head was super low. The general manager is rude and disrespectful to woman. We were told we had to leave just because he didn't like me, I did nothing to him, this was after we were there for an hour and the room was paid for for that night. We were told to leave and received no refund. The allow smoking in non smoking rooms. This is the most horrible Motel 6 I have ever been too. Will NEVER stay here again and have told everyone I know to avoid this place. We ended up having to pay for another motel room. Room reeked of cat pee, the woman puts people right next to each other when there are plenty of rooms free as spacers (I don't enjoy hearing strangers on the other side of a very thin wall), and the bathroom's cleanliness level was not the best. It's fine if all you need to do is fall into bed and sleep for a few hours, but for a longer stay, there are many, many other motels on the same block. read more

After reading the reviews for this location I was a bit skeptical but it was a good place for the price. When traveling, safety is often a concern with lower-priced motels but this Motel 6 is located right next to all of the other motels in Ontario and is a safe location. I would've have be annoyed to pay $40 extra to stay right next door. The room was small but clean and the bathroom was clean as well. I stay here when I come to see a person in Ontario and need a room. Usually it is ok. Staff are friendly and helpful. I've had to shut down partiers a few times, but usually it is quiet enough if you take a room in the interior courtyard. Typically the showers work. Make sure you ask for the amenities you need as they are not standard per room. Avoid a room in the part of the facility fronting on the street. As mentioned, usually a good enough experience. However, this time, the wifi is not working, and the manager is not listening. We've tried four different, distinctly different devices and streaming content is not working. We need the wifi to work and the communication skills, usually so good, are distinctly missing this time. Don't know what to do. I went out and bought a book. read more

A disgusting excuse for a motel. I had been driving for 26 hours straight and all the other hotels and motels from Mt. Home/Boise were booked solid, this was my only option. I really wished that I had slept in my truck again. This place is a dump, from it's cheap cheap construction, to it's kitschy classless design, the filthy overall feel, to its insect haven environment, every aspect of this place is just terrible. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything in the rooms next door. Bugs are everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Add to all this the very gloomy skanky overall atmosphere with vagrants lurking about, and you have the recipe for a terrible terrible motel experience. If you're alone and desperate and think you can make it maybe go for it. But, don't subject anyone else to this. I would think this would be a horrible place for a couple to stay and I would never subject a family to staying one minute in this nightmare. Look elsewhere!!!! read more

We have stayed here several times when traveling to Colorado,have had nothing but good experience. Staff is always fast and friendly. Room is clean and quiet. We always ask for ground floor non-smoking, no smell of smoke in room. Door lock always works. Some privately owned Motel 6s have had defective locks or bad batteries in the lock,the card has to be swiped several times or does not work at all ( back to the office and wait for help). Lots of room to walk my dog. No police banging on the room next to me. The beds we have had are not the best but fully functional and we sleep well.Lighted parking area. Checked into our room around 2 am. We were exhausted. Unfortunately little sleep was to be had. No mattress pad on the beds a very thin sheet on top of plastic, turned into a sweat fest followed by being bit by little critters. All four of us had small welts and they weren't Mosquitos either. Finally decided to go take a shower opened the door to turn on the water and my surprise was yellow and pink mold all over the shower to include the shower floor. We put towels down so we could get cleaned. I filled out a survey and the GM sent me a reply and said they would try and clean the Room better. And to try and give them another chance. I'm here to tell you disappointed doesn't begin to describe how I feel. The GM didn't offer a discount or anything else just hope you'll give us another try. Been to several hotels, motels, guest houses over the years as well as worked for many top notch hotels as a room inspector. I stopped here for the night as I was headed to Montana for a Half Marathon in Bozeman. Taking the scenic route on my road trip. The morning I left I took a run before checking out of the motel. I ran in the shorts I planned to run my race in. I showered before I checked out and left my running shorts in the bathroom on the floor with the towels. I didn't realize this fact until 2 days later when I stopped to do laundry in Idaho. I called the motel and had the front desk check lost and found. She reported that she did not have the shorts. She took my name and phone number and said she would have housekeeping check for my shorts and give me a call back the next day. I have yet to hear back from housekeeping. They clearly have kept my shorts. They were $60 Nike running shorts and I am upset. I know this is not a high end motel, but that should not prohibit people from being trustworthy and having integrity. They kept my shorts for themselves or for friends or family. I always stop on long trips at Motel 6 and have not had any negative experiences until this time. Shame on you Motel 6 in Ontario, Oregon! I was working as a contractor earlier this month and decided to stay here with my team because we were looking for something affordable yet clean, comfortable, and well maintained since our job was going to take two weeks - that's exactly what we found at this Motel 6 location. Working as a contractor and being forced to travel from place to place, I've been through it all from bad rooms to bad service. However, the two weeks my team and I stayed at this Motel 6 location was nothing less than exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating - we experienced what should define customer service right when we stepped into their office. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the beds were comfortable - something I definitely cannot say about our past stays at motels in the area. The location is extremely convenient as it's right off the interstate and for our purpose of stay (working in the area) it gave us easy access to the highway to get to our work site. Needless to say, I would recommend definitely recommend this motel to any contracting teams looking for a place in the area, but I would say it's a family friendly place as well. If you're on a budget but still want quality in your stay, this is the place. read more
