We're here for a four-night stay, visiting with our grand kids in Fruitland. This is a great location, near shops and restaurants, and an easy drive from Boise. Mostly a solid stay. Aging building, but mostly well kept. Nice Decor, and our room was comfortable and welcoming. The staff has been amazingly attentive as well. We invited the kids over for dinner and a swim, and the front desk was very helpful! When we first arrived, our travel site didn't send the reservation through to the hotel, and the front desk (Anil) was very patient and helpful in making sure we were able to check in. Since the travel site didn't forward the reservation, we were unable to get the King room we wanted, but the hotel made extra sure we were welcomed as guests. Overall, a solid place to stay, especially for the price. I'd only recommend an update on the carpeting, as it looks like it both needs a cleaning, and some other attention in a few places. Otherwise, the room was great and customer service consistently positive with everyone we interacted with. read more

Free internet does not work. The advertised $1.00 bottles of water are cash only. Suffering from a headache, I asked to purchase aspirin. Not available. I was directed to the vending machine to use my card to pay for water. Two problems: it's more expensive than what they offer at the front desk AND the machine was out of order! Perhaps a soak in the hot tub would help .... Ha! Out of order. Come on. No internet, no bottles of water, no aspirin, and inoperable hot tub. Pretty simple offerings at all other establishments. The place is not very clean, shower stall is slippery, and the bathroom floor is not for anyone who is a fall risk. My 79 year old mother fell getting in and out of the "space-style" shower. Move on down the road and stay someplace that actually tries. This place is embarrassing. read more

So disappointed in this place. We booked through a third party and prepaid and even with all of our issues, they won't do anything to compensate us for their failures. Let's get started: there are no baths for babies. There was body hair all over the shower. We specifically booked this for the reason of swimming and a hot breakfast. The hot tub was freezing cold and the pool was like ice. Nothing was done. No pool towels in the pool area. No hot breakfast as was advertised. Don't you blame this on Covid- we stay at hotels all the time and when you advertise a hot breakfast, you need to provide one. We got a pack and play crib and upon installing it, the bottom broke and it collapsed on my baby's head, leaving her with a bruise. I will never, ever stay here again. The guy who checked is in was really nice and that's about the only plus. The room itself was not the cleanest and I would've expected more especially since everyone is still worried about COVID19. Breakfast was VERY disappointing. I ended up going out and getting my own muffin I had in the car. They had a waffle machine, sausage links, a few pastries, 2 choices of cold cereal and yogurt. Not even eggs! Every hotel I've ever stayed at (which is a lot!) had eggs! Breakfast starts at 6 and we got down shortly before 8. Don't think they had them to begin with due to the looks of the pan! I was 2 hours to Portland, and I just told myself it was time for a new watch. I then realized I should call. They found my watch, and mailed it to me. This Sleep Inn has the newer Designed to Dream decor, which I really enjoy. The room feels modern but also comfortable and the same kinds of colors are in common areas. On this visit, my room did not have anywhere to sit except on the bed, which was a bit disappointing. Overall though, the hotel in Ontario was clean, efficient and had a good breakfast including some hot items. I had a positive experience. The only difficulty I experienced was noise. I think this hotel (and city) is a good stopover point on I-84 so some people get going very early (6 - 6:30 am Mountain), which made it difficult for me to sleep in at all. I would have preferred a little rest, but being near the ice machine, elevator and stairwell made that a challenge. Also, on the side of the hotel I was on, there was a large tree. Since a large storm was blowing through town, it made quite a bit of noise on the exterior of the building. I enjoyed that it made the room feel more private in the evening, but it didn't lend itself to sound sleep in an unfamiliar environment. Helpful tip, there is a pool, but it must be hidden somewhere behind the check in desk. I wish it would have been pointed out. Internet speed here was reliable and worked great. Hotel room itself was not horrible . Bed was fine . Found hairs in shower and on toilet paper rolls that were not mine. The toilet was leaking when we arrived and there was a huge puddle . Every time we flushed the toilet would leak more. The rooms where extremely humid and hot . It took about 2 hours for room to finally cool down with the small ac that is provided. The guy that checked us in was very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff was also nice. But DO NOT get me started with management. They are very rude and have very horrible customer service. My baby sister accidentally locked the door and when we asked for help they immediately blamed my parents for damages and started to say that they were not doing there job as parents. Their whole system is flawed. Why wouldn't they be able to access a room in case something like this happens or for emergencies without needing to damage their property? Never recommend ! read more

Way more than expected considering the price. $12 more than Motel 6, and 1/2 the price of Holiday Inn express. Beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. I would and have spent more on a room of this quality. I'm writing this before I see breakfast which I assume is continental. Loved the guy at the front desk as well. I mistakenly made a reservation for the wrong intended day through booking.com for a night more than 20 days away. I failed to read all the alerts, one was the cancellation was not free as I've found in the past with other hotels. My mistake but I have stayed many times at this particular hotel. I have been somewhat satisfied simply because of the price, rooms are adequate, didn't like the shower/bathroom very dangerous for a senior. That is not why I'm reviewing. It was their cancellation policy. The room's charge was $83 for a mid week stay. Cancellation was a $75 fee. I requested a waiver for the fee, but was refused. Sorry, well sorry but I have sworn off staying at the Sleep Inn at this location now that includes any Sleep Inn. I will stay at the cheaper but not worse hotel down the road. I will also not recommend it to others, enjoy my $75, it will cost you more in the interim. Watch & read the alerts. Especially about cancelling. read more

I am not a fan of leaving unfavorable reviews, so let me caveat this by saying it was not a completely bad experience. I do have to state, I have never seen a hotel room this small in my life. I'm not a rich person, I don't live in a mansion, but I literally have a closet in my home larger that this room, and every closet ever made is larger than this bathroom. It was very cramped. The room was not exceptionally clean, but neither was the hotel, which is very dated. The carpet in the hallways in very threadbare, leaving the hotel looking run down for it's age and size. In my shower there was a glop of some kind of sealant that made me assume there was a hole in the bottom of the plastic liner, but in all reality looked like discolored vomit left behind, and it was actually uncomfortable to shower in there. The "closet" or wardrobe they give you is incredibly tiny. I could not hang my pants up in there. There was one drawer for socks, underwear, etc... just not very spacious at all. It might be decent for a one night stay, but for a week long visit like I did.. I would not book this hotel again. The breakfast was quite disgusting actually and made me sick. Now, I won't say all this without giving the positives. The workout room was very nice. I couldn't believe there was a place to exercise in a hotel of this size. Big thumbs up. The Wifi was blazing fast at times, and acceptable at others... we all know how hotel wifi changes speed at peak hours as people jump on to check Facebook, but even at it's slowest times, it was good. The staff was friendly and accomodating and made the stay better. I wish the rest of the hotel was as good as the employees. If you do stay here, hit one of the convenient restaurants for breakfast, there's quite few including Wingers next door. Do not do the hotel breakfast unless you really want to be sick to your stomach. read more

My husband and I took off on a spontaneous road trip without reservations or maps! Decided on the way how long we could keep driving, and made a last minute cell phone reservation here late in the evening. When we arrived the desk was staffed, check in was quick and easy. Room is clean, appears new, very comfortable beds. Wifi worked well. Also amazingly quiet right next to the freeway. Great breakfast - waffle maker worked well, eggs, sausage, cereals in roomy breakfast room. One star off for no tub. We might have been in a handicap room, the large shower had a grab bar. I don't usually use a tub in a hotel, but my husband likes to have the option. Definitely would stay here again. read more

It's good to sleep. Bed was pretty good, room was mostly clean (except the windows and window tracks were gross), and the bathroom was good. Definitely much better than most places. But the room smelled like it used to be a smoking room and bugged me, but they were booked so we couldn't switch. Also, the grill outside was severely neglected. So don't count on using it. Pool area was nice and the employees were friendly, except one lady who just ignores you when you're waiting to check in and the one main front desk person is busy with a phone call, the other phone line is ringing, and people are waiting to check in. Out of all the hotels my dad and I have stayed at on our week long mini road trip this was the best hotel! It didn't have a funky smell, the price was the most reasonable out of every hotel we stayed at, and their new update tops all the places we've stayed. Goodbye ugly hotel wallpaper, curtains, carpet, and bedding! The breakfast is the same at every hotel we've stayed at but hey its a free breakfast. Their pool and hot tub is open 24hrs too which was not the case at the other hotels. Even the laundry was only 75c each for the washer and dryer. I am giving this 3-star level hotel 4-stars. The hotel must have gone under a recent renovation-- everything from the lobby to the rooms were new. The bed was comfy, lots of extra pillows and I saw no evidence of bed bugs as previous reviewers have mentioned. I did not notice much noise from the freeway which is quite close to the hotel. There is a continental breakfast served near the lobby including eggs, sausage and self-serve waffles -- nothing fancy but it serves its purpose. Are you tired and just need a good night's sleep? Keep driving! Do not check into the Sleep Inn. Because you won't...sleep in! The pillows are small. They are rock hard. The sheets are cheap and rough. The towels are small and rough. We knew it was not the Four Seasons, but the expectation was that it would at least be comfortable so we could rest after a long day's drive. Then came the AIR CONDITIONER. The beast. It roared to life with a shocking and rattling roar. Every 1/2 hour. How did I know? Because it woke us up every half hour. There are many other choices within a small radius. Put the air conditioning on would run 5 min and shut off. Room was hot when arrived and we could not cool it down. Air conditioning was terrible had to leave window open and listen to all the freeway noise. Did not get much sleep. All front desk would say or do is sorry they would have it checked out. I stayed in room 319 and woke up with bites on my arms, legs, and back. After first night of bites I reported and showed bites to counter staff and was told they were from small mosquitoes that had come through the screen. I searched room and could not locate mosquitoes and closed window. Next day I had more bites. 20 bites total! Reported and was moved to another room. After move no problems. Upon checkout I inquired if they had discovered what had bitten me and was told "you were not bitten sir." I responded by pointing out the bites on my arms and the counter staff informed me I had an allergic reaction to something in the room. The bites are swollen, red, raised, painful and itch. I have stayed here in the past without issue and liked the hotel. I understand dogs can track in fleas or a mosquito/spider can cause temporary issues. But for counter staff and management (I assume they have no medical qualifications) to tell me I was never bitten is unacceptable. In addition, my last night the fire alarm was triggered around 11 p.m. and guest had to evacuate. It was a false alarm but once again, not one apology. I paid my bill in full and will never stay or recommend this hotel. The maid staff and young lady hosting breakfast are very friendly. read more
