    Modest, clean accommodations

Today is our first stay here but will not be our last. We have family that lives nearby and as each of our families has grown, it has gotten more complicated (and expensive) to drive between states for short visits. This Motel is an answer to prayer! Affordable, friendly, clean... Sure, there are a few outdated aspects but if you want to pay an extra $40-60 per night a few doors down to have shiny new countertops for a night, then more space for me at the Value Inn! It Appears that they're working on updates a little at a time (good business practice if you ask me) and remain open in the meantime. I'll take and share more pics tomorrow, but I am very happy with the value we received here :)

I am about the least picky person ever but this place is GROSS. There are dead bugs all over the room (literally everywhere, not just the corners) a sticky mess on the bathroom sink, the shower clearly hasn't been cleaned in weeks, our feet are black after a single night walking on these floors (second photo was after washing them right before putting on shoes ), floors and baseboards are covered in dirt and to top it all off there is no AC. I'll stick with Wyndham motels when I need a cheap place to stay from now on. Don't waste your money

Torn up door and crappy paint

This hotel is nasty. When I looked at the pictures it looked way nicer. Clearly they just put new paint over all of the issues here. There is no fan in the bathroom. So if you dump everyone smells it. The door lacks a chain or slid latch. Appliances from the 80s. The air unit doesn't work. Gave us a standing fan instead. There was a toilet full of urine and toilet paper upon arrival. If I could give zeros I would. Customer service was highly lacking. Only was given one key AND we reserved for 2 people.

She was able to pull up ones for us and even gave us a little discount for joining the Best Western rewards program. And honestly the price wasn't much more, which was SO nice! The rooms are okay. We did have leftover food from someone else left in our fridge, but again, we did book this very last second like day of so I kinda get it. Still a little gross, but again, SUPER happy we were able to stay here on such short notice! The beds were pretty comfy, too! We were in town for Halloweentown and they decorated everything so cute! Loved it! And the free breakfast was nice. Not the best again, but something to hold us over. The gym was pretty nice too. We used that as well. Definitely would recommend staying here if you're coming in to town. And again, shoutout to Wendy as well as the rest of the staff there for being SO kind and nice to us!!!

This is basically one of two hotels you can stay at in this small town. And apparently I chose the wrong one at the beginning. First of all, it's not in the best location. Looks very run down. When we walked in, the girl at the front desk was nice but let us know that we needed a $60 CASH deposit. Weird?? I asked her where did it say that on the reservation? She said it usually says $100 but the sign out front says we do require $60 cash.... Very odd response. I've never heard of a hotel asking for a CASH deposit for incidentals. We walked out and I tried to call to cancel the hotel reservation. Very odd that they require $60 cash because when you call OYO itself, they say they require $100 refundable for incidentals. Not once did it say anything about $60 cash. So Idon't think that's a OYO requirement... maybe just one for this location? But in my opinion, why would this location want to accept cash? And then they didn't even ahve an ATM on property.... WEIRD! We fled. Definitely be warned if you're looking to stay here.

We booked online, paid in advance and got to the hotel and had to pay a $60 CaSH deposit. Almost never carry cash but got lucky today. Cash? $60 for a $120 room? Shows bad area and bad experiences to require a deposit - cash no less- and then check your room before depart. Nothing screams lack of trust than checking your room before they give your money back. I prefer a place that does not take deposits and have the clientele that almost everyone smokes - saw two pit bulls and lots of other barking dogs. They were even hand painting - with spray cans mind you - the parking lines in the parking lot - at 9 PM too! Paint smell, cigarette smoke and barking dogs abound. Would avoid as a other "Inns" have the same price, no deposit and free breakfast so will head there and no book this hotel

I booked through hotels.com and she was able to fix something I couldn't do through Hotels.com. It took her a while but she was super helpful and made it happen. That's always a good way to start a stay. We were in room 117 with 2 queen beds. 4 pillows each. Mattresses were comfortable. Pillows were a good mix of firm and medium. Sheets were soft. AC/Heat was great. Bathroom was very small. The door barely missed the toilet but it's fine. (:-) It's cramped but functional and I love the big huge bath counter outside the bathroom. Lots of space to spread out. So I'm not complaining at all. The big counter is way more important than the cramped potty room. The breakfast was a typical lower end continental breakfast plus PEELED hard boiled eggs and ONE waffle maker. It was ok for free. Get there early because it can be a long wait for a waffle. They DO have excellent yogurt in the fridge with milk so don't miss yogurt. We took several back to the room and then skipped the breakfast on the 2nd morning because breakfast closes at 9:30. Here's a fridge in the room so we had yogurt this morning. I don't need the sugar in the prepackaged muffins and breakfast rolls. If you find this review Helpful please VOTE!

Our hosts went out of their way to cater to us and add those special touches throughout the room, in the main house, and when eating. We usually stay within the Hilton portfolio when traveling, but for this trip to Southwest…read moreWashington, surprisingly, we weren't able to find any Hilton properties available for our dates. That led us to look at other options, and we ended up booking here for a four-night stay in late September. The booking process was straightforward--I was able to use an older account I had from years ago when I was traveling internationally, particularly in France. Back then, I had the impression Best Western was more of a smaller, regional brand in the western U.S., but it's actually much larger than I realized, with 18 brands across more than 100 countries and territories. In terms of experience, Best Western feels a step below our usual Hilton stays. That being said, check-in was simple, though not quite as seamless as we're used to since there was no digital key option. We had to wait at the front desk for a bit with two other guests ahead of us, which wasn't a major issue but did add to the first impression. The property itself is dated, and unfortunately that showed throughout our stay. Our room, while clean enough, felt dark and somewhat tired, even with most of the lights switched on. The bed was comfortable and we did appreciate that the room was fairly quiet at night, which made for decent sleep. However, there were some details that left us less than comfortable. The shower water never got beyond lukewarm, which was disappointing. There was leftover blue painter's tape on the ceiling and around the shower--presumably from a recent paint job. There was a cobweb from the ceiling down to the shade on one of the lamps. Those kinds of details made the room feel unfinished. We didn't make much use of the amenities on-site, since this stay was primarily about having a base while we explored the areas between Vancouver and Longview/Kelso. Because of that, our perspective is limited to the room itself and the general upkeep of the property. Overall, it served its purpose, but we didn't feel entirely at ease here. Would we stay again? If it were the only option within our price range, yes. But next time we'd likely do more research ahead of time to see if a local hotel, a small motel, an Airbnb, or even a bed and breakfast might offer a more comfortable alternative.

Even if it had been cleaned it was way over priced.

But the service representative at the front desk was genuinely incredibly rude about informing us of this and showed zero hospitality and politeness. Its not his fault that the building seems to have incredibly micromanaged and strict regulations though, so I'm sure he was only trying to follow policy. Which is fine! But he showed zero candor, politeness or anything at all and coldly told us we'd have to book another room for the fifth person. We ended up needing to have someone sleep in the car for the night. Do not come here if you have 5 or more people, the website barely describes the 4 person policy and it is enforced so thouroughly by the management that it leaves absolutely no room for the staff to be able to provide a welcoming and inviting experience for your average inn enjoyer. After this experience we decided that we wanted to cancel our second night to prevent someone from sleeping in the car again, however they have a policy you have to sign that made it so we would not get a refund whatsoever for that night so we ended up being forced to pay for the second night anyway and go to another hotel. Unbelievably poor service and policies, rude staff, and all around an unpleasent affair.
