Very clean, Comfy, Good price, Spacious rooms. Easy to get to from freeway front desk friendly

We like to travel with our dogs so I always look for places that allow pets. The Lewis River Inn doesn't just allow pets, they welcome them. There was a water and food dish in the bathroom area. This came as a very pleasant surprise. We always travel with our own but it is great to know that if we had forgotten, they had us covered. The recliner also had a seat cover just like we have at home to protect it from dog hair. Not all rooms are pet friendly so keep that in mind. I would have loved to have had a river view but bringing my dogs was more important. I am a birder and enjoyed sitting on the guest patio anytime I could to watch the birds at the feeder, in the flower bed, in the trees, or even in the river. I recorded 13 species of birds in under 30 minutes while just sitting in one spot. The rooms are big and clean. We had a 2 queen pet friendly room because our 14yo son was with us as well. The location and room were perfect but Violet up at the front desk was our biggest compliment of the Lewis River Inn. She was genuinely friendly, gave useful local trail information and made sure that our stay was well over our usual expectations. The rooms were very clean & the bed was very comfortable and the river view in the back was a great place to rest and drink your morning coffee. Would recommend this establishment highly. read more

I'm rating 5 stars in its price range. Everything is nice but it's kinda nicely normal. So I understand the 4 star reviews. The woman who checked us in was awesome. I booked through hotels.com and she was able to fix something I couldn't do through Hotels.com. It took her a while but she was super helpful and made it happen. That's always a good way to start a stay. We were in room 117 with 2 queen beds. 4 pillows each. Mattresses were comfortable. Pillows were a good mix of firm and medium. Sheets were soft. AC/Heat was great. Bathroom was very small. The door barely missed the toilet but it's fine. (:-) It's cramped but functional and I love the big huge bath counter outside the bathroom. Lots of space to spread out. So I'm not complaining at all. The big counter is way more important than the cramped potty room. The breakfast was a typical lower end continental breakfast plus PEELED hard boiled eggs and ONE waffle maker. It was ok for free. Get there early because it can be a long wait for a waffle. They DO have excellent yogurt in the fridge with milk so don't miss yogurt. We took several back to the room and then skipped the breakfast on the 2nd morning because breakfast closes at 9:30. Here's a fridge in the room so we had yogurt this morning. I don't need the sugar in the prepackaged muffins and breakfast rolls. If you find this review Helpful please VOTE! read more

This cute Inn was a nice stopover point to spend the night on our drive. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. I was glad there was a fridge in the room and a nice spacious sink area which was handy with two kids not fighting over room to brush teeth etc. Breakfast was good. Great location on way to Ape Caves. The hotel clerk was so nice and helpful. Good free breakfast with plenty of options. Room was clean. Room was outdated but I knew that before staying there. Our family enjoyed numerous stays at Lewis River Inn through the years (since 1998) and have always felt comfortable here (and Burgerville right next door was always a major plus!). This time, I've had to visit WA on my own. Flew in to PDX late at night and didn't get to the hotel until a few minutes after 11pm. Katie greeted me at the window. She was warm and friendly throughout the whole check-in process. I got to my room easily and everything was neat, clean, and orderly, as I've always remembered their rooms to be. Very nice for the price. $149 for a double Queen room. It does offer some great views of a river, or of the parking lot. (Good views means more $$). I was pleased to see the bedding had been updated. The whole room and bathroom was very clean. I like the spacious mini fridge. Do not recommend using their shampoo, dried my hair out! AC worked great. We were in town for a concert at the RV Amphitheater. We couldn't get an Uber or Lyft to pick us up. There were no drivers near us. Plan ahead if you are thinking of using these. They do offer some contact info on a taxi. She was friendly, but need to schedule a pick up with her ahead of time. Staff was so friendly, easy check-in and check-out. read more

Employees are friendly and helpful. Have stayed three visits now. Pet friendly place. With pet bed, dog bowls and a great area for them to with clean up bags. Yummy lobby breakfast, each morning. Walking distance to a delicious coffee shop, a burger joint and many other places. Beds are very comfortable. Water pressure is excellent. They have wall mounted contraption for shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Each room I've stayed in had zero conditioner in it. (which isn't know until you are showering. Which is so frustrating. We really liked that the hotel had the Golf Channel! Average room, thin walls. But the beds are extremely firm, very uncomfortable. So barely slept all night.

Great hotel in a meh city. Friendly desk workers, on the phone and in person. Everything was very clean. The registration area has tables and chairs and a window bench; a fake fire box hangs on the wall near comfy chairs. There's fresh coffee in the morning. My room was on the first floor. So relieved to not see carpeting. It's the fake wood flooring. I had a very comfortable queen bed. Pillows were comfy too. I watched some tv- it's not Netflix but I wasn't looking to binge anything. There's a Keurig with pods. You can grab coffee supplies like flavored creamer and Splenda in the registration area. Shower and water flow were good. Very quiet. Someone kept smoking in the parking area which was disgusting because I got some downwind smells. If you're in the area and need a place to stay, this is a good choice. read more

Clean, friendly, allows pets at a decent rate and right on the river. Just one small item I think they should remedy but it is at all lodging establishments. Housekeeping fails to clean the floor space behind open doors. The bathroom, when the door is closed, will have dust and loose hair build up. We stayed here last night and I would say it is very average. The bed was fine. The room was clean. The toilet seat was broken but usable. The shower was in a tub and the water pressure was good. They have shower dispensers for Paya shampoo, conditioner, and body soap, but the conditioner and body soap wouldn't work. I opened the conditioner and the storage container was broken and therefore the reason it didn't work. There was a Queen size bed and a lounge chair so the amount of furniture for the space was nice. There are a desk, a chest of drawers containing 3 large drawers as well as a large cubby and there was a 20" TV. There are 4 lamps for lighting the main area but no overhead lights. I would stay here again because it the price if I must come into this area, but I wouldn't seek it out as a highlight of a trip. read more

Overall it was a great stay! This place is super dog friendly and they even provide a doggy bed and bowls! The pet friendly room we stayed in was located on the first floor which was super convenient. The room we had was super big and clean. The property is right on the river and has a pretty little garden area overlooking the river. The staff are also taking the COVID-19 precautions seriously which I appreciated. They provide a to-go breakfast which is filling and convenient. There were just a couple things that put a damper on our experience. I wish I could have given 4.5 stars instead of 4 because the issues were not a big deal or deal breaker. The first thing was that the bathtub backed up when showering and there was a tiny bit of mold/ mildew in the bathroom above the shower. The bathroom fan was also very loud. The pet relief area was also located next to the Burgerville drive through. It's nice they had an area but it was full of garbage and it was a little weird that it was right next to the drive through. I'm not actually sure if the pet relief area belongs to the hotel or Burgerville. It did not seem to be maintained like the rest of the hotel property. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again. The price is right and the location is great. We were able to spend some time going to Mt. St. Helens, Vancouver and Portland. Overall a solid 4.5 / 5 stars! read more

Beyond atrocious here. In attempt to get an ada accessible room, we were given one that smells like dog pee. They won't accept our reservation by which we paid more for.We are stuck with 1 bed for two people and a guide dog (which apparently other people's allergies are more important than my well being; mind you my dog is hypoallergenic) so disappointed. Never again will we stay at this establishment. Not to mention the way were treated by the staff. This is ridiculous. read more

I absolutely love staying here. The front office has been remodeled and is beautiful. I don't normally get excited over any hotel breakfast but I really wanted a waffle. We found this place looking for something near the Ridgefield amphitheater where we WERE going to attend a concert. Covid-19 cancelled that, so we rescheduled our stay for the holiday weekend as it was non-refundable. Turned out to be a great move as we were quite impressed with the hotel. On check-in, I filled out a form to indicate what we wanted for breakfast as they could not have the buffet. We had a river view room and yes indeed it's right on the river, with a nice little deck with two chairs. Our room overlooked a common area, which got a little boisterous that night (July 4th) but quieted down by midnight. As an aside- LOT of firework activity that night including sky rockets. Not used to that coming from a area where fireworks are illegal, therefore not quite as common. The room as large with a desk & chair, and a recliner (!) that was in front of the glass door to the deck so a nice view. There was a fridge with freezer compartment and microwave in the room, and one-cup coffee maker. Nice king bed with comfortable mattress, large TV, tub & shower. I picked up our pre-selected breakfast at the office the next morning and it was as ordered. We will definitely be back. read more

If you're looking for a place in the Woodland area you must stay at the Lewis River Inn! We stayed for one night and just had to extend our stop to two nights because of how much we loved this place! The staff is the most friendly I've encountered, and they are genuinely excited to take care of their guests. Incredibly accommodating to pets! Beds and bowls provided. I travel with my boyfriend and two dogs so this was so great to see after many nights of trying to make our pups comfortable in other places. Clean spacious rooms with televisions and recliners. We loved being able to relax here after driving from San Diego. Everything worked well! Showers are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. The bed was extremely comfortable! Beautiful back area with grass overlooking the river with gorgeous flowers, garden, and a deck to hang out on and enjoy a burger from next door while enjoying the scenery. They provide one of the best breakfasts to go, as well! Bagels, muffins, hard boiled eggs, pb&j, fruit, yogurt, and coffee of course! I would say you're missing out if you stay anywhere other than the Lewis River Inn. read more

This is a hidden gem. Our room, while not modern, was very clean and the bed comfortable. The towels were really lovely. We had a room overlooking the river with a little deck that we could enjoy our dinner from the taqueria next door. Will definitely be staying here again. read more

Great stay! We were in 202 by the road and I was very surprised that I didn't need my ear plugs. Very clean, bed was very comfortable and bedding was fluffy and warm enough that we didn't need to use the heater. It's a basic set up with tv, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker/cream and sugar, heater/AC unit, alarm clock, shampoo, conditioner and body wash in a dispenser in the shower. Great location for food and drinks, try the Fat Moose for a locals tavern dinner and the nicest people and best coffee is right there at LuckMan Coffee Company. Cons- Shampoo/ conditioner feels rubbery in hair. Pillows are a bit to big and thick, they didn't really cushion your head. They were pretty hard. But if you stay in enough hotels than you usually bring your own pillow anyways. You can hear your neighbors door when slammed, so don't slam your door when you're there Lobby smelled like cigarettes but that might be because the woman was just smoking? Other than that we loved it here, we only stayed one night but we would definitely stay again. read more

This was a nice place to stay. At first I hesitated because there is a drive-through liquor store next door but I didn't hear anything when I was inside and nothing outside when walking my dog. They put a dog bed and dog bowls in the room for my dog, which was a nice touch. I always clean up after my dog but the poop on the grass behind the motel tells a different story. Watch where you walk! Bed was hard as a rock, which I love. Heat was great. No noise from the other guests. I didn't eat the breakfast buffet but it sounded good. A regular single room costs $85 but with a dog it comes out to $105. Some places charge you $50 for the dog but return $30 if there is no damage. Lewis River Inn was dog friendly. I would go back. And the Chinese Restaurant next door is great. read more

I stayed here for two nights while on a business trip and it was perfect! The gals at the front/check-In desk are the sweetest ladies! I called them several times prior to my visit and They didn't make me feel like an annoyance, even though I know I was, they didn't treat me like it. The rooms are clean, bed was comfy, breakfast in the lobby and they've been doing some renovations that have updated the place nicely. The location is GREAT because you're right off the freeway (NO, you can't hear it) but also, there's a Burgerville right next door. There's a liquor store next to the Burgerville and Safeway is only 0.7 miles away. There's a nice Mexican restaurant across the street. This town shuts down around 9:00pm. BUT, You can always head to the casino, which is eh, about 2-3 blocks away and it's a great place to hang out. Very friendly dealers. read more

I was hopeful when I saw their website, but this is just an overpriced motel. The bathtub plug was old and corroded and I couldn't fill the tub. We had a great view...of a huge post and a parking lot. To top it all off NO BREAKFAST is served. We had to ask several times for fresh towels during our 3 day stay. Not worth $150/night read more
