2 rooms needed; 1 K & 1 w/2 beds. There are NO KING BEDS at this place Rm. #114 was the worst. Full blast cold or full blast hot shower; warm is a trickle. Drain in shower was not secure. Hole was really nasty looking. Sink felt loose enough that it could fall if someone were to grab it needing some support. No frig; one was delivered but did not work. Both rooms need new weather stripping around doors. Could not stay warm enough in the early month of February nights. Only one washcloth..... really ... getting skimpy all around. The room was small and only had one pillow per person. Beds were too small and they said it was a queen, the pool was closed and they said it has been for around 4 years! The bathroom was an okay size but the water sucked, the towls had weird stains and there was a long piece of hair on the wall and it was not ours cause nobody has long hair! And the door would not lock and when we got it to it was super hard to turn the knob to lock it. The fridge made this horrible noise ALL NIGHT and the stupid lights RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW confused everyone. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. CONS: The mold growing in the room refrigerator that wasn't cleaned out after it was defrosted stunk up the room and made the refrigerator unusable. My husband wiped it out but it still smelled way too bad to put my items in it. The beds are terribly UNcomfortable. I only got 3 1/2 hours sleep the night before and was REALLY looking forward to passing out as soon as we checked in. I spent over 3 hours tossing and turning while bed springs dug into my arthritic hips. These beds should be put out with the trash. The sheets are see-thru, they need to be replaced. When I was trying to find the bad smell I checked under the beds and the floors are disgusting. My animal is gonna crawl under there and come out covered in dirt and other animal fur. All you need is a dry Swiffer quickly under each bed. I was awake half the night looking for evidence of bed bugs and Googling my findings. In the bathroom, the folded up floor mat had a black footprint on it. You could see the toes clearly. The free soap disintegrated all over the counter just pulling it out of the wrapper. The toilet was filthy in the bowl and there was no lid to cover the toilet. How does that work when people have small children or pets. I wouldn't want my pet drinking out of a toilet bowl. The shower stall was dirty. I refused to shower there. The chair is a cool retro look but the seat was covered in dirt. My husband and I both wore our shoes or slippers the whole time cause the floor was too dirty. PROS: The female front desk clerk when we checked in that evening was very friendly and informative. Our room was away from any other occupants so that was very nice! (The truck traffic noise did not bother me.) ADVICE: Use your money for a CLEANER, MORE COMFORTABLE hotel reservation somewhere else! read more

Had the pleasure of staying at this location on the night of September 3 in RM #122 on a road trip from Phoenix to Pittsburgh. Had the DISPLEASURE of checking into this location on my way back to Phoenix in RM #124 on the night of September 21. After checking in at approximately 10:15 this evening with rate and tax at $80.90 for a one night stay, I was preparing for bed. I pulled back the sheets and much to my dismay, the top sheet appeared to show signs of semen stains and I noticed the same on the fitted sheet. Just to make sure I'm not some crazy deranged 46 year old with an imagination, I did make contact with both sheets to confirm my suspicions. I then pulled both sheets off and took them to the desk where I made the FATAL MISTAKE of asking for new sheets. Before even looking at what was in my hand, a bald gentleman vehemently denied there was semen on those sheets at which point in time I held them up and showed him as he stood behind the glass and I explained how I just checked in and I promise what's on those sheets did not belong to me. At 46 let's assume I know the look and feel of a STIFF SOCK and I promise those stain marks were stiff as a board! He then informed me that he would need to place me in a new room and directed me to bring the sheets to him so that I could pass them to him through the door since they obviously wouldn't slide through the window with the plexiglass partition. Attitude from start to finish. As if I wasn't a GUEST checking into his hotel and as if the hotel didn't fall short in guest satisfaction. I may have mentioned out loud that I have a past as a DoubleTree Hotel Front Office Manager so I do indeed speak "hotel". And upon mentioning that, the bald gentleman replied with THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU STAY THERE because . . . well tell me again why I want to sleep beneath/on sheets stained with someone else's semen!!! I didn't even ask for someone to come to my room and replace my sheets. Just give me the set and I'll make the bed myself!!! I'm on a road trip to and from Pittsburgh and I just stayed at a Candlewood in Pennsylvania where my sheets were COVERED in hair that wasn't mine. I'm not difficult. I went to the desk and asked for new sheets and changed the bedding myself and stayed for 2 days. So what was the problem here??? As another POTENTIAL guest walked in, I said OUT LOUD "how do you give me attitude for bringing my semen stained sheets to you for a new set as if I did something wrong" and that potential guest walked out the door faster than he walked in that door. So now this Motel 6 lost business. And it's all my fault. And I'm asked to leave. I then called 911 just as a security measure to make sure I would be able to remove my belongings AND my pets without incident. Upon their arrival, the gentleman at the office advised the police officers that he would NOT be refunding my money for the 25 or 30 minutes that I may have been in that room. I have time dated pics of the sheets in question. And upon removing my belongings I also have time dated video evidence of a baby roach crawling on the floor. It's been said that God works in mysterious ways so thank you God for allowing me to leave that room without transporting roaches from New Mexico back to Phoenix. We have enough wild life. I promise!!! But explain to me why we feel JUST in not returning my $80.90? With a background in hotel front office management going back to 2007 AND a background as a bank branch manager going back to 1999, this should be interesting! Oh, I didn't even mention the condition of the mattress "protector" that apparently needed a protector of its own! Those pics are attached as well! At 46, I've lived a life of customer service dating all the way back to 1994 at McDonald's. 30 years of doing the right thing comes with expecting others to DO THE RIGHT THING when in that capacity. DO BETTER PEOPLE!!! I should add that it's 2 hours later and I shared this story with another desk agent at another hotel and he said sometimes adhesive melts and sticks to fabric. I'd buy that . . . if this situation happened during the drying process of the top sheet on the bed. But something leaked from the top sheet directly below it onto the fitted sheet while it was still in a cool liquid state which tells me the chances of both coming out of the dryer with STIFF stains in the same exact spot(s) are slim to none! Prior to this road trip, I haven't stayed in a hotel since 2019 on another trip to Pennsylvania. And it's definitely gonna be awhile after this experience. Especially since the next hotel checked me into a room that was already checked into just to move me to another room where I was greeted by a roach on the floor the minute I flipped the light switch. When traveling cross-country we almost always stay in Motel 6, as we are usually traveling with our pets. The guy up front was friendly and got me squared away after the website double booked me (I booked one room, it decided I needed two). For the most part we choose Motel 6 because while often dated... they are clean and secure. However, this is without a doubt the filthiest Motel 6 I have ever stayed in. It looked like the sheets maybe got changed, but there was a deep layer of dirt on everything else. Definitely won't choose Santa Rosa Motel 6 as my stopping point on my next trip across the country. Not the best motel but one night won't kill you. To be honest I suggest going somewhere else unless you are looking for a really cheap hotel. The place was run down. Everything about it looked old. You can say it looked very questionable. Yes the place looked filthy and very damaged. Even part of the door didn't shut tight in the room we were in. The air conditioner was very outdated and broken but It worked though. The only problem I have was that it didn't have a set temp so once you turn it on it stays on. You wake up very hot n sweaty in the middle of the night. The bed was rock hard definitely not like other motel 6 I been at. The blankets were clean but they were thin. Feel like just sleeping with a sheet on. The room was very small. The bed was push to the corner so it can looked like you have room. The towels were thin an small. It won't cover the average person after a shower. There was only 2 pillows on the bed also. Definitely not enough pillows. The shower was small but it had hot water no complaints there. The hotel clerk was nice and friendly. He quickly gave me my room and I was on my way. But the ice machine in the office was broken. If you have a problem with freeway noise, this isn't place for you. The walls are thin you can hear anything. Stayed up listening to a couple arguing. Probably the only great thing abt this hotel was they had a huge wide open dirt lot so we can park our semi. And a Dairy queen it right in front of it so you don't have to drive for food. I was ready for the normal motel6 room. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. The bathroom was well stocked with decent towels and very nice vessel sink. I especially appreciated how friendly all the staff were. They are pet friendly and the property had plenty of areas to walk our dog. Best motel6 I've ever stayed at. read more

Staff is friendly and there is a lot of parking. However, you get what you pay for. When I first entered the room I noticed a dead roach in the bathroom. The woman at the desk gave off a vibe like she didn't care about her job or her customers right at check in. The ice machine was broken, with no apology or embarrassment by the desk clerk. Not only did the place charge for wifi, but the desk clerk tried to sell us an individual internet card for each device that we'd need to connect. The room showed the remodel design being used by a lot of Motel 6's. However, the room had inconvenient electrical outlets - two on the floor near the door and right next to the foot of the bed, two in the bathroom, and only one available one near the desk but hidden behind the television. To cap off our negative experience, at 10 a.m. (two hours before final check out) we were surprised by a male room attendant with a cigarette in his mouth who let himself in without knocking under the pretext of cleaning our room. After shushing him away, we quickly packed our things and hit the road. Needless to say, we'll skip this one in the future. read more

I stayed here a week ago due to my car breaking down in that tiny town of Santa Rosa. The lady at the front desk was nice. The price was OK. You have to pay daily for WIFI. The room was clean but very small and only had a shower, although the restroom is very big! Tv was kind of small but was clear. The bed was queen, but that was the smallest queen I have ever seen. The cover for the heater was gone which exposed the inside which was not safe for my toddler so I had to keep him away from it. The location is in a nice place, next to DQ and across from a few restaurants. I would stay here again, if need be but I'll never be going to NM again! haha read more

Kind of okay...Kind of not. This location of Motel 6 is not that great. We stayed here while driving through New Mexico. We wanted to make some road progress east of ABQ but didn't think we could make it to Tucumcari. We settled for Santa Maria. The room itself was okay - decently clean, kind of small, very dated. I would definitely agree with Amy W. that there are "weird people" hanging out at and near this motel. We took our dog for a walk in the morning and even she was weirded out! The room is fine and suits its purpose but I don't think I would stay here beyond one night. The location leaves something to desired. Pretty sparse & flat with not much in terms of neighborhood amenities. This spot is also much further away of a drive than it appears in the Motel 6 national locations booklet. We thought we were on the wrong street because it felt like we were driving much further than what the map shows. The Motel 6 maps are definitely NOT to scale. A very basic hotel room that meets general standards of cleanliness. The room is small: with two adults and two kids, we were bumping into each other, and the full bed was a tight squeeze even when I persuaded hubby to pick a side and stay there. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, but the shower stall was tiny with a strangely affixed curtain that let water pool easily on the floor. The only obviously not clean part of the room was the back of the shower curtain, which was a bit moldy, but otherwise it was impressively not gross for a $54 motel room. Towels were thin and tiny and wouldn't have been enough if we had convinced the kids to wash themselves. AC worked well. Nice poofy pillows. Adequate outlets. Did not have time to evaluate WiFi. Could have lived without the early morning lawn mowing or whatever that noise was. Otherwise quiet and a decent deal. read more

This is the absolute worst hotel I've ever been to in my life. The lady working the front desk was very Rude and disrespectful. she was all nice at first until they put me in the first room and then told me they needed to move me to another room due to something wrong with the TV (so she said) but anyways I said not a problem I can move to a different room. I go into the second room and it is super dirty and out of date Compared to the first one. So I tell The lady at the front desk. So then they go to move me to the third room and the third room is missing air conditioner parts end it is tore up. So I tell her that the ac is all tore up and even showed her pictures. She says the housekeeper that clean the room never said anything was wrong with it. At this point you can tell she's getting annoyed by me but still moves me to the fourth room as I'm going into fourth room I walk in and she says is everything fine from across the parking lot I said it seems to be OK. So as I start to look around the room the lampshade is busted the other lamp shade is All dirty the floor has dead bugs on it and there's a pile of dirt in the corner. So I go back to the front desk again. She then proceeds to tell me that you can't keep moving me around all night and I told her I would like to not have to move around all night and would like a clean room. Also I said I understand it's not your fault I understand that the maid did not clean the room correctly. I then said I would just like a refund I'm tired of running up and down the stairs and going room to room. At that point she became extremely rude. And told me that she was not gonna do anything for me and that I could just go away from her And told me that she was not gonna do anything for me and that I could just go away from her and I can call my people I booked it from. So I did that and she was still very rude about giving me a refund and still refused to give me a refund and told me to deal with it with Expedia or wherever I book the hotel through. So I call back hotel.com And tell them she's refusing to give me a refund so they called her a second time to talk to her and finally after over an hour and a half of dealing with this lady moving me from room to room I got my refund back. After a snowy drive we we got a room at Motel 6 because of being pet friendly. The room recently had some work done and was a standard Motel 6 room. There are fast food restaurants within walking distance. I left a pair of earrings and called the next when I realized it. They found the earrings and sent them to me that day. Stayed 12-31-15 checked out 1-1-16. Front desk staff was very nice, room was warm and clean (during the storm warm was nice to walk into). Room a bit outdated but honestly it was comfortable and I was happy. Place seemed pretty busy but was quiet all night. Would stay again, had no issues. Remember this is again budget friendly motel and a safe warm place to sleep when road weary. Nothing more.. if you are looking for luxury then head on down the road! read more

Terrible service. I've always liked Motel 6, and am a loyal customer, but this one was so bad I had to go across the street to the Quality Inn, which was great, for only $20 more. Of course, you get what you pay for, and can't expect too much from Motel 6, but that's what's good about it. Customer service is important in a service industry, though. Being snotty isn't good customer service. Even an "I'm sorry", would have counted for something. The employee was not worried about loosing a loyal customer. I won't be back. read more

I've have been staying at Motel 6 since I was a kid and this one is pretty good. I came to Santa Rosa for a wedding and I didn't have a lot of money to spend so $50.00 isn't bad for a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. The front desk girl was so sweet and patient, especially when I locked myself out of my room within just a few mintues of checking in. Come Sunday morning she made sure I was happy, I told her I was just exausted from the night before and wanting to hit the road to get home. The only down side is it is right at the end of town there is a Dairy Queen then that is it the next is the on ramp to the freeway so you hear all night long the truckers coming on and off the ramps. But otherwise its cheap and worth the staying. read more
