A good place to stay for this price. Rooms are clean, but not that spacious. The front desk guy was very friendly. Breakfast is not included, but they kindly offered tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the morning. The only thing I didn't like was beds. It's just a metal bed frame with mattresses, comfy though.

It was late at night. I was too tire so I stopped for the night. You can feel every springs in the mattress.

I had a wonderful experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Idaho Falls!…read more I recently enjoyed a 2-night stay at the property. I was really impressed with the hotel in general. My room was great! Very clean, well furnished, and comfortable. I had a balcony with a river view. It was stunning - right across from the Mormon Temple. I'm not Mormon, but it was just so lovely and majestic to sit on my balcony and look at the river, folks walking by on the river walk, and this lovely temple. The grounds are great, too! They serve breakfast and dinner in the lobby restaurant. There is a small shop where you can buy water, snacks, candy, beer-wine (which I did), and a wide variety of non-alcoholic drinks. There is a massive outdoor patio with a fireplace and a bar (there is a bar in the lobby, too). The outdoor patio is open until 10p nightly and has that great view I was talking about. The area is very well furnished with lots of little sitting areas of varying sizes. Great location, super easy parking, fast wi-fi, and friendly staff. This will be my go-to hotel in Idaho Falls from now on!

This time, just a middle-aged married couple (the 2 of us). We had almost the same room overlooking the river with a small balcony. Everything from the original review holds - but this time we ordered breakfast - and got fast service with a lot of choices. Very easy access out the back to a scenic asphalt trail along the river.

I suspect that a great many of these reviews are fake--fake bots, fake accounts, or fake reviews…read morewritten by friends and family. Basic hallmarks--overly-glowing and weirdly specific reviews, often the "writer" has no or few other reviews, and they seem to pop up right after a negative review. I stayed here the evening of July 3rd. The only positives that I can (honestly) list are that the property is reasonably quiet, and that no one bothered our (packed) car during the evening. I also noted that the shower water pressure was very good. Now onto the negatives: Starting off strong: we were informed at check in that check out was at 9AM. The woman at the front desk vaguely explained that due to the Independence Day holiday, their hotel was full and they needed to prepare the rooms for new guests. She literally shrugged when it was pointed out to her that our email confirmation states that the checkout is at 11am. I watched as she explained the same thing (with the same affect) to other guests who had already paid, and I watched her receive guest reactions similar to ours. As we approached the door, we had been warned that there are "issues" with all of their new key card locks. We had to jiggle the handle up, down, then up again a few more times to finally get the door open. Once it was open... The room was musty. Most everything was old, and there was an automatic air freshener that sprayed out sickeningly sweet mist. The carpet was stained, the sheet had a hole in it, the 2 pillows on the queen-sized bed were flat, the pillowcases had very large bleach stains, and the coffee maker was sitting atop an old foldable tv tray. The actual ceiling light was very dim, but and the window shades were very old and thin, so lights from the parking lot shone into the room all night, making it hard to sleep. The room also wasn't very clean--the very old bathroom had someone else's hair on the walls of the shower, and one of the washcloths was stained. On the way out, we discovered that we were double-charged for the single night. We were assured that it was a pending charge that would likely clear up (similar to a damage deposit)--but surprise, surprise, both of the charges hit our account after the holiday weekend, and we had to call them to get a refund. If it hadn't been a holiday weekend, we would have left immediately. As it stood, we woke up sore and groggy from a poor night's sleep at a pretty worn down and badly maintained hotel. I would not be surprised to see this truthful review buried by a couple of new "reviews" raving about an "amazing smelling, beautifully lit and spotless oasis with the beds made for royalty." The positive reviews are fake.

He acted rude, confrontational, and even went so far as to call the police for no reason at all -- completely unnecessary and out of line. His behavior was weird and made me feel unwelcome and unsafe. I've stayed at plenty of Hampton Inns before and never had an issue, but this location needs serious attention from upper management. If this is how guests are treated, I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else in Idaho Falls.

The lobby is modern and clean and even lightly decorated for Halloween. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours. The staff are all friendly. The cons.. The first person to shower had to use body wash for her hair because the very large bottle of shampoo that is provided in the shower was completely empty. We were able to have an employee up to our room about 10 minutes after the request who brought a bee bottle and replaced the empty one. The beds themselves were comfy. In fact that is why I booked the Hampton because they always have very comfortable beds. However, unfortunately our room seemed to have been skipped for clean sheets on both beds. One of our beds had a large amount of crumbs in at as well as what appeared to be dog hair. Very short, coarse dark hair all over the fitted sheet. My granddaughters bed also had a ton of crumbs and some disgusting chunks of something that looked similar to boogers and bloody boogers. We were in town to visit our adult children and grandchildren and by the time I realized this it was after midnight and we were too tired to take things up with the staff. Thankfully we brought our own blankets and pillows and laid on the top of all the covers. The top covers appeared cleaned and we got a good night's rest. It's disappointing that the Hampton in is employing people that have such standards as to skip one of the most important steps of the room cleaning process. We will most likely stay in a Hampton in the future but never in Idaho Falls again.

By the time I finally walked in, I was physically and emotionally drained. I was apologizing for being late and honestly worried about whether I would still have a place to stay. I had called and left messages because everything felt so uncertain. But the moment I arrived, the two people at the front desk made all the difference. They immediately engaged with me, listened, understood what I had been through, and even shared a few stories about other airport experiences. After the stress of the previous days, that kind of welcome meant more than they probably realized. They are always friendly, warm, and easy to talk to. They even had a fun Pajama Friday, which I thought was awesome. Because of that experience, I will absolutely be staying with them each time I am in town.
