Shabby room and our Non Smoking room has cigarette burns in the bedspread. Wouldn't stay here again

We usually have a good stay at previous Motel 6s, but this one is causing me concern. First, I liked that our Doxie was free, but to charge two seniors almost $100 for a room is ridiculous. There are no amenities. The pool is permanently closed, no breakfast (other than coffee in the office), no microwave in the room, no hair dryer, no coffee pot, and the worst of all, a filthy floor. We had an extended stay here with two pets. Our house sold, and we needed an extended stay motel that was pet friendly until we could close on our new house. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff. Everyone was truly outstanding! The manager went out of his way to accommodate us, and make sure our stay was a pleasant one. Ok, let's start by saying the facts.. If your staying here it is because you do not want to pay more. This place is cheap.. It looks cheap.. It feels cheap.. You get cheap.. Appearance : from the last few reviews it has been updated.. New paint, new ice machines, new look. Still cheap beds and basic dirty tub. BUT, room is very clean, towels smell fresh, beds were clean and had a clean smell ( not a bleach Oder) , parking lot it lit up like a Christmas tree for safety ( rooms have black out curtains so it does not bother sleep. Air unit was old but did work well and kept room at a constant 73 deg. Noise : due to there cheap upgrade to remove rug from the floors there is an annoying drum sound with every foot step upstairs.. BUGS?: in the middle of the night 2:27AM. I was woken up due to a sensation. Guess it was more like an attack of bed bugs.. Pictures will be posted.. FINAL THOUGHTS... After a rowdy night in Nashville and blowing all of our doll hairs, we had no choice but to stay at this cheap azz motel. FIRST OFF, hillbillies GALORE. Two good ole boys fought it out over a bag of buggles at the vending machine, might I mention this was directly AFTER paying for our room. Upon arrival in our room we noticed the wildly abnormal FLUORESCENT DOCTORS OFFICE LIGHTING EVERYWHERE. After flash banging ourselves from the intensity of the vanity light, we decided it was time for lights out. Woke up to the hillbillies goin at it with their feral pack of dogs on our balcony, turned my head to fall back asleep and noticed the abnormally large semen stain an inch from my face. 'Murica. My elderly father and I stopped here in February. The manager offered us a discount because of Dad's age. While I was bringing the bags into the room, my father, who has advanced Alzheimer's, swung the security latch closed so that I could not get in and he could not figure out how to swing the latch to the left. The manager cut away the lock with bolt cutters so that I could get into the room. He treated Dad with great kindness and refused to accept payment to repair the damage. The hotel is inexpensive, our room was clean, and the place is close to I-65 with a Cracker Barrel and some fast food restaurants nearby. read more

Very friendly and clean. Nicest Motel 6 we have ever stayed at. Remodeled and well kept. We forgot our dogs leash there and they called us right away to let us know we'd forgotten it. If you need a place to stop while driving through Tennessee, this is a nice and affordable option. read more

Checked in here around midnight after being in the road for 13 hours, will have to say, if I want completely exhausted I'd have went somewhere else. The lobby had a foul odor, the room itself had a slight stench. Bathroom was dirty, hair on the floor, only a small amount of toilet paper and no refills. They had the heat on, yes, in June, so walking in was suffocating. The pillows were terrible, even folding two in half didn't work. The room ran $77 after taxes, the only plus was it's near the interstate, oh and Taco Bell! read more

We needed a hotel for one night passing through. We waited until we were close and started looking. Found this hotel. Called and talked with Beth on the phone. She was extremely friendly and efficient. We booked our room with ease. As we were heading to hotel we get a notification to take cover for a tornado. We arrive at hotel get checked in fast and they allowed us to take cover in laundry room. Mike was amazing and made coffee for everyone and Becki made sure we were all ok. They did a fantastic job in a time when everything was going crazy. Room was clean and what was expected for the price. I have no complaints with hotel. read more

There are BED BUGS in this establishment! Do not stay here! The faculty personnel were nice and gave us a refund, but there's no way you'd catch me here again. The floor was dirty and you'd find nasty bits in the corners of the room. read more

I agonized over booking this Motel 6 in White House, Tennessee, just north of Nashville, because to read many of the other reviews you would think this place was the anteroom to Hell itself. If anyone else out there is in such a quandary, let me allay your fears. We pulled in late at night, and the exterior was brightly lit and the rooms themselves had nice ambient lighting, with white florescent lights in the vanity area. Let me assure you, the rooms were very adequately cleaned. Could you eat off the floor? No, but I wouldn't suggest you do that at my house either. The rooms have been recently renovated in a budget version of what might be described as "urban loft", complete with faux wood floors and minimalist bedding, and it's pretty darn nice. And get this: the bed was comfortable, the room sufficiently warm, the water hot. There were stains on the armchair, but obviously they can't afford to throw out furniture every time an item gets stained. Bottom line, don't hesitate to spend the night here if you need a relatively inexpensive motel in an otherwise expensive area. (No, there is no shampoo, bring your own, this ain't Trump Tower!). read more

PLEASE READ Absolutely terrible If you could give zero stars, that's what this place would get. The heaters didn't work we were given no warning. They also never informed us that after an hour there was no refund. So not only did they not refund us for only being there for only an hour and ten minutes,hoping the heater would kick in but my 5 year old daughter was crying because she was freezing and the guy at the front desk didn't care and blamed it on another employee for not "telling him or us" that the heat wasn't working. Shows how the owner "cares" for his guests. Did not get a refund, they wouldn't switch us rooms because "there was no availability", my wife called as a new guest and you probably guessed it, there were rooms available. STILL WOULDN'T SWITCH US ROOMS AFTER WE KNEW THERE WERE EXTRA ONES OR REFUND US! If that wasn't bad enough, he said there were no extra blankets because he had already given them all out, which was a lie because my wife and daughter went to the front desk crying because of how cold it was and he gave them sheets. We checked out after two hours of being there. Only would have been there long enough to get our refund after an hour and ten mins from finding out the heat didn't work. I would never stay at another motel 6 because of this and their complete lack of compassion and customer service. I have never been disrespected and treated that way at any hotel Ever! read more

Great staff that are friendly, helpful, and clearly looking out for the safety of their guests. Comfortable rooms that are clean. Really wish they had a coffee maker in the room, but there is coffee/tea/cocoa in the lobby at breakfast time. Simple, clean, cheap accommodations....I really have little to complain about with the price. Finding parking was sometimes a challenge. I saw a housekeeper making an ice pack for a guest who was painful in her hotel post-operative....that's the kind of care/concern that melts my heart and certainly endears me to staying in small town TN versus Nashville. I stayed 4 nights and I had booked online, the hotel automatically fixed the price to a significantly lower price because of the length of my stay! C'mon, how incredible is that! On June 21, 2019 I was traveling from Arkansas to Ohio. Throughout my travel a tornado was sighted and an emergency alert said to take cover immediately. I stopped at Motel 6 at 340 Hester Dr. White House, TN 37188. I called while outside in the parking lot and inquired about availability. The receptionist said there was a tornado and everyone was taking cover. I told her I was outside she said come in and take cover. I went to the door, a man (Chris)and a woman watched me knock on the door, it was locked. The man comes to the door and told me to go to Taco Bell and see if they have room for shelter. I replied, you're not going to let me in and there's a tornado?" He said we're full. I repeated, you're not going to let me in and there's a tornado. He said go to Taco Bell. The woman (Beth, on her name tag) watched with a cordless phone in her hand but said nothing. I said I'm coming in so I pushed my way by the man. He then says go to the laundry room with everyone else. As I proceeded to walk to the laundry room there were maybe 10 people but no where near being full. I have photos and video. I feel discriminated against and I am seeking counsel for how I was treated. Scary enough being in a tornado but even worse to be treated horribly. Yes I am a black woman, and everyone there was white. Someone came in after me and was personally escorted to the laundry room, they were not turned away at all read more

Will never stay in a motel 6 again. For $106 tax included we got two bed. What we did not get was shampoo, tissues, coffee, continental breakfast. When I complained, I was told ,"That's Motel 6." No amenities. Unless you have to have a bed, go elsewhere, because that's all you get. read more

My partner and I stayed there on November 20th, 2018. Thinking we my have a great night away from the house and the parents we take care. But at the get go the room smelled like completely smoke. This place is a joke. The floors are always filthy and the bathrooms sent me into full blown panic mode. I forgot my laptop charger and when I called back a few hours after I left they told me that it was gone. The room hadn't been booked, so that must mean your housekeeper took it...because he/she obviously isn't cleaning the room like the job description states. With my husband traveling often unfortunately we book this room often because there are really no other affordable accommodations in the area. Let me say this, we are not rude people and we do not by any means leave a hotel room dirty. With that being said as I went to book a room this weekend I was told we are on the do not rent list...and was not given a reason why. I assume it's because my husband asked for a dust pan and broom politely last time we were here because the floor was literally disgusting. After the amount of money we have spent here I am appalled that this establishment had the audacity to place good paying repeat customers on the do not rent list. We will take our business elsewhere, regardless of the amount of money or drive time it costs. read more
