Everything is operational and like the hotels I've seen in this city run down. There is a lipstick stain on one pillow, the shower curtain is stained and the vinyl floors need a Swiffer rather than a vacuum. It was quiet though it appears some people live here. The room next door was left open and the bed was covered in prescription pill bottles. The keys are dropped in an outside unlocked mailbox so anyone could come grab a key. read more

Booked room on Expedia, upon arriving, this place looked more like an apt complex than hotel. Front lobby looked horrible, smelled like pot. Multiple cars in parking lots looked in different stages of repair, could see torn curtains in room windows from parking lot upon entering lobby. Manager said he need to see if my room was ready, at 9:30 at night??? clearly when he knocked on door, someone was in there and pushed door back closed. While outside of room door there was a person who appeared on drugs, run up and try to talk aggressively towards me, manager told him "why you always here? Go away" !! At that point I left scared as a single woman traveling alone, and told him to cancel my reservation. Called Expedia to get my money back, who called manager at hotel who denied a refund saying none of that took place!! If I can save someone else any money being spent unaware on this property!!! I used to love this place however it's changed ownership in the last two years and now it's absolutely disgusting -- we found a Men's XL shirt in the bathroom, the beds aren't made, it smells gross. The room is falling apart. I mean seriously this is the most disgusting hotel ever. Don't be fooled by the photos -- that's what the hotel looked like a few years ago. I'd rather sleep in my truck. Interesting room. Hardwood floors were unexpected and pretty cool. Lots of space, not your usual room. Well lit, neighborhood seemed okay. Decent parking lot. But don't come here if you need the wifi. Cause I did. And it didn't work. BUT thankfully the young lady at the front desk was kind enough to let me sit in the office area and work on my laptop. Which I appreciated, even though my presence was clearly making her uncomfortable. (It was late, I don't blame her. She was nice enough about it. It's just weird having some dude in your space.) Friends, this is 2019. Get your wifi working properly, or don't advertise that you have it. People have jobs, they have to get reports in, do paperwork. Don't make this our problem. read more

This room and the property in general are awful! I would give it negative stars if I was able. Cars up on blocks being repaired in parking lot. Lots of sketchy people seem to be living there. Room was disgustingly filthy and in disrepair. Pillows and bedding reeked of unwashed body odors. Toilet paper holder had been ripped from wall. There were dried feces on toilet seat, hair and grime in tub, coffee pot was so filthy it would give one problems, I'm sure, if coffee was consumed from it. It didn't look to have been washed in months. So much dust on headboards I could write my name in it. Floors were full of unswept debris. The spare pillow in closet was covered in blood stains. It just goes on and on. We went back and told person at check in (who was two days new on the job). She wasn't able to remediate our prepaid charge but was helpful in assisting us with contact information etc. We are working with Booking.com to get our refund. Looking for a cheap/basic place to stay, don't need reliable access to the internet, and have no people/items you need to secure? If so, check this place out. If not, maybe go somewhere else. Came in late, got my 3 year old son settled, and realized the internet wasn't working (I need it for my job). Called the desk and they said the router for that side of the motel wasn't accessible after 9pm (It's in another person's house or something like that), so they couldn't reset it. The manager was nice and offered to move us to the side w/ the good internet, but that wasn't an option. They knocked 20% off (abt. $15), which was nice, but still cost me a lot in terms of time lost. I could have left my wife & kid in the room & worked elsewhere, but decided against it after noticing that the exterior door had a mid-grade door handle lock (w/ a gap you can see through & a cheap key you could get duplicated at any hardware store) & no other way to lock the door from the inside. Add to that the creepy suite door that you can't lock, and you'll see why I decided not to leave the room to work (see pics). Btw- I told the people at the desk about how easy it'd be to make a key copy and come back the next day to steal things. One woman said something like "those doors are hard to unlock even with the master key so nobody could do that," which makes absolutely no sense. Another person said they were getting new doors soon. If you follow the thread of the reviews for this place, the theme is "they're fixing it up, so maybe it's better now," which makes me suspicious. read more

We stayed last night. We were charged $17.00 for our chihuahua and there was nowhere to take her to go to the bathroom. Our room was dirty. I don't think the floor has been swept around the fridge in months. The coffee pot still had coffee in it from a previous night. There was hair on the pillow case. We would really like a refund. Pretty nice place for the price. We're on our way east and found this place online. After driving for 12 hours today it was nice pulling into a clean, comfortable, and updated room. Girlfriend and I both had plenty of hot water for well deserved showers. The towels and bedding are all clean and fresh smelling. Haven't even bothered turning on the TV. If I had one complaint it would be the extremely spotty internet. Other than that I'd definitely stay here again if needing to sleep while traveling through the area. read more

Terrible. They literally stole my money. I paid in advance with hotels.com - road trip in October. First they were not even ready with my room so I left and came back. Like they had just opened up. New kid at register but manager took my payment - neither of them could figure out how to accept the pre payment from hotels.com so they made me pay in full with debit card (not a deposit a payment) they promised me a refund if there was a mistake (spoiler alert: there was a mistake) back to the hotel - it was gross. Period. I left at 3am to continue my road trip as I couldn't sleep. The light didn't work in the vanity. The staff just seemed to have zero clue what they were doing. I'd not be so bothered and not complain if they hadn't also stolen my money. It's been 5 months and the bots at affirm and hotels and even chase bank can't get these people to return money - meanwhile I was stuck in a payment plan with affirm at 30% interest. Overall I've paid about $200 for this gross hotel room I spent about 5 hours at. I had actually switched rooms with a couple as they also were dealing with the inept staff who did not give them and their kids a room with two beds, they couldn't figure out how to switch out keys even or the rate so we just switched rooms with each other. It was after 4pm and they could not even manage to get a minimal number of rooms ready. The amount of energy and printer paper I've used to try to get my money back is also ridiculous and I've resorted to reviews - a true disgrace. I have full documentation of both payments with supposedly reputable companies and you can still end up in this situation and be robbed. It's unreal to me they can get away with this. I'm thankful it wasn't a huge amount of money but this should warn other people. I cannot get anyone to just return one payment to me. read more

Just checked out after a great night here on a trip stopover. Pulling up after dark last night, the Inn looked like many other 60s- and 70s-era motor inns--i.e. nothing special--but keying into the room provided a much different experience. The room and bathroom had been completely updated, with new paint; new, modern fixtures; nice tile bath/shower surround (with one of those special curtain rods that leans the curtain out and away from you), newer furniture, and, a first for me in a motel/motor inn: wood floors. Needless to say, this made a huge difference in the overall feel of the place, and the quality of the accommodations for the price was second to none. Oh, and it didn't hurt that last-minute online bookings were easy, and the woman at the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, too! Highly recommended! read more

First they let us check in early as I had a conference call to take. The room was beautiful, exactly what I needed. Restful decor, comfortable beds and pillows. The staff were great. I'm sitting here in this motel asking myself if the other reviews are fake, because this place is the pits!!! I made the reservation via Priceline and it was rated 3-stars. It's just a quick overnight stop for me and 3-stars should have been fine . I should have turned around and left when I walked into the lobby of the place. Mistake not to have. I'll upload photos after I finish writing this. It was WAY overpriced for what I got. I'm staying in a "deluxe" room, too! HA! Upon entering the room, there was a dank, stuffy odor....and after I turned on the A/C it got even worse. The furniture is chipped and worn. The WI-FI is spotty and hasn't worked half the time. I have four hours' work to do tonight! The cheap, flimsy curtains barely cover a warped, worn out ledge, the side of which has fiberglass and wires hanging out. THE PITS!!! The baseboards are filthy. The floor in the bathroom is filthy. There are marks on the walls. The TV screen is all smudged wiht fingerprints all over it. YUCK! This place is awful! I do not recommend it to ANYONE. They provide these old guest directories that are totally outdated. Two of the (very few) restaurants that are listed are permanently closed. There are FLIES in the room!!! Yikes. I don't think I've ever stayed in a motel this horrible. Cost me $71. Was worth about ...$0. I will NEVER stay here again. read more

Needed a part replaced on my car and ended up staying the night in Laramie. I booked this room through a blind price saving app and certainly had my doubts about the place when I pulled up. I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are much nicer than one would expect from the outside. Hardwood floors, nice lighting fixtures, very clean, stress meltingly comfortable bed. Perhaps the best part was the customer service. I've received far worse service from very large very expensive name brand hotels than what Megan at the front desk delivered. The Sheraton should take a page out of the Laramie Valley Inn's playbook when it comes to customer interactions (or simply hiring exceptional staff) He Laramie Valley Inn is where I'll be staying from now on. By the time I checked out, I couldn't believe how much I'd received for how little I'd paid. read more

There should be a way of putting zero stars so that is the only reason I put 1 on this review. Went to visit our son at college and chose this hotel because there were no available Airbnb's available due to the college football game weekend. I will never go to this hotel again. The office personnel are extremely unprofessional and had a very difficult time getting toilet tissue or fresh towels. To top it all off my wedding ring was stolen from our room. This was not a hugely expensive ring and I obviously was stupid to leave it in my suitcase but I knew I'd be hiking and didn't want to be uncomfortable if my hands swelled. I did report it even knowing that they would not care and it was true, they didn't care at all. Don't go to this hotel you will not like it and they will likely rip you off. This is the first negative review I've given as I do not like to negatively impact businesses but people ought to know. read more

The room was disgusting. The sheets were all stained, and even the pillow cases. There was stuff splattered in the walls, don't know what it was. Part of the wall was unfinished so you could see the insulation. There was paint peeling from the bathroom walls. The room smelled dank and when the AC was on it got worse. Terrible place, even for the price. The bedskirts were too long so they were hanging on the floor. It was by far the worst place I've ever stayed at in my entire life. NEVER stay here. The room that I paid for they gave away to someone else so they "upgraded" me to superior. I'm glad I didn't have to see what the regular rooms looked like. read more

Definitely a pleasant surprise. I travel a lot for work and have stayed in lots of different chain and non-chain type hotels/motels. Don't let the outside fool you, the insides of the room have been remodeled and are well kept. The water is very hot and the AC works well. The only down side is there are no bars in the shower for those that need assistance getting into and out of the tub. Other than that, the staff is extremely nice and helpful. If we are in the area again, we will likely be staying here. read more

We stopped in Laramie for the night on our way to Colorado. The hotel at first glance is a little rough on the exterior, when we walked in we where greeted by a very pleasant clerk. She checked us in and we asked about food recommendations which she gave us( restaurant she referred was great). We went up to our room on the second floor when I opened the door I was surprised to find "hardwood floors" the room appeared clean. They have a small fridge and a microwave in the room which is nice. The bathroom was by far the worst part of the room. The cleaning crew hadn't done a really good job as there was hair from the last guest in our shower still. The bottom of the shower was so slick I thought I'd just stepped onto the ice at a hockey game. Overall for the price of the room wasn't the worst one, the bed was ok comfortable and the pillows where decent. If it wouldn't have been for the dirty shower would have been 4 stars. Clerk was nice and accommodating which kept my rating at 3 stars instead of 2. read more

Stayed here on a cross country trip. The rooms are nothing fancy but clean and in a decent location. We stayed in a "non-upgraded" room that certainly showed it's age, but it was clean and comfortable. Reasonable value for the money and better service than a chain motel. read more

We were on a cross country road trip. We had been driving 13 hours...about 10 miles outside of Laramie, we called the first motel on Google. The Laramie Inn was fantastic! The rooms (renovated) were gorgeous, the complimentary shampoo and conditioner, soap and coffee were not cheap brands. The little refrigerator kept our groceries cold too! We used the microwave to heat our breakfast. We were quite impressed. What a gem hiding out in Laramie! If we ever pass this way again, we will definitely stay here again! We stayed here when in town for a University of Wyoming football game and found it comfortable and well-maintained. It is an older classic motel from the outside but the rooms are updated with new furniture and televisions. I was worried it was going to be noisy because it was completely full, but our room was quiet. The bathroom and shower are not big, but have everything you need. WiFi fast. And there was even a mini-fridge and coffee maker. read more

We like "retro" motels where we can save on price and just have a comfortable, clean place to sleep. Laramie Valley Inn looked like all that. Unfortunately, the bed had obviously not been changed with soiled sheets and hairs left behind. Although motels in that region were very busy with fire crews headed to fires in western states, there's no excuse for dirty sheets! We were immediately given fresh linens we could install ourselves but were offered not even an apology from the management the next morning. read more
