As accommodating as you can imagine. When I lost my job, they allowed me to change his schedule to make things easier. They knew my name after that first visit. That impressed me. My son never wanted to leave. I had to drag him out for the first few weeks!! As the other poster listed, my son did not come home with pink eye or anything like that. He did get a virus, but who knows how he got it, even though other kids had it too. Even with all that hand washing, some stuff is just unavoidable. He was out for a week with it - if anyone remembers that winter of December 2012, that virus ran over everyone in its path! I recommend this daycare/preschool to everyone I know that works or lives nearby. If I didn't live so far away now, my daughter would be going there right now! (huge mistake!) this school has very rude immature employees. The second grade teacher is absolutely the worst. He was tested before coming in, but everytime we asked for more reinforcement the teacher took it as an insult to ask for materials, even said to the child's mother that he doesn't belong there. My daughter had an issue with it and asked for guidance on how to get added study material and the teacher was rude and disrespectful. Grammar was horrible and the principal did absolutely nothing and just let her teachers run all over her. When asked if other parents are proactive in their children's school the principal actually said no! And the reasoning was absurd!! She actually said because the teachers do a good enough job reviewing in class!! What education facility gets mad at a mom for asking for more study material at home?? It is a very small school which was exciting at first but the atmosphere is extremely one sided and they are watered down Christian's. They take Christianity as a joke. It is not a professional environment at all! Walked in to speak to the principal and none of them were dressed in professional attire. The vice principal came out in jeans and a sweatshirt and the teacher was in a skin tight dress. Demeanor was extremely poor and on the defense, and so incredibly rude! Please if looking for schools and you find this one because it is on the cheaper side, there is absolutely a reason why it is cheaper. We made the mistake of bargain shopping but it was a total waste of money. They are far behind on education materials and you are never allowed to question a thing. This was not a Christian school it was more like the reason why people turn their backs on God, thank God I have been a faithful servant of Christ my whole life to see what they were actually doing. She is the tiniest toddler in the room. I proceeded to observe the situation as the teacher continued yelling and snatching items out of the kids hands. I thought about reacting but I knew they'd call the cops on me. So I went to the office, got Miralena and said, "You need to get your teacher. She's in there yanking the kids and snatching things." As we walked to the classroom, you could literally hear the teacher yelling and screaming at the kids. At that point, Miralena pulled the teacher to the back room and talked to her. I don't know what was said... At that point, my granddaughter started crying cause she didn't want to stay. Mind you this child has been going to this school for over a year and actually looked forward to going to school every day. (Especially when Miss Nyema was there) I left. Sat in the car for a second to gather my thoughts. Then went back inside and told Miralena "Today is her last day! And, I'm gonna need your director to contact me immediately." 11:34am Tuesday 2/14/23, Miralena called "So Ali is staying?" I replied, "Well I don't know. I'm still waiting for your director to call me. So how was that situation handled? Were her parents made aware of the incident involving their child? Cause I'm still trying to get in touch with them. " She said, "We let the teacher go. She won't be back." I said, " Well where's your director because she never called me...and since she didn't it's too late. What is corporates number?" She said, "I'm not in the office and have to stay in the classroom all day today." 4:54pm Tuesday 2/14/23, Rashawnah calls. She apologized for not getting back to me sooner. I asked, "When did Miralena tell you about the incident?" She said "Friday evening." I said, "Isn't protocol to alert superiors immediately after an incident involving the children?" She said "Yes!" So I said, "Right. Since Miralena didn't and now you're just calling me about an incident that took place early Friday morning ...other measures need to be taken. What's corporate number and I want that ethics line too." I proceeded to say, "See if I had snatched her ass up y'all would have called the cops on me. You would want me to do something too if it were you and yours. This didn't personally happen to me and mine but I witnessed it happen to another baby who could have very well been ours." I told her that she would be able to see it all on the cameras. She said they don't have cameras inside the facility. 11:36am Today, 2/17/23 Kelly Phelan calls me to ask is Ali last day on Tuesday? I said, "No. where did you get that from?" She said, "You the grandmother told someone here that her last day was on Tuesday." Then she proceeded to say, "AND JUST SO YOU KNOW, LICENSING WAS JUST HERE AND FOUND NO WRONGDOINGS." I said, "WELL HOW WAS THAT DETERMINED WHEN THEY DIDN'T CONTACT ME THE WITNESS WHO SAW IT HAPPEN?" Nowwwww she wants to play victim. Talking about me screaming...so I hung up. She called back to threaten me with the police if I come down there." I called her back to confirm what she had said and hung up. All of this because I reported a danger that I witnessed against a defenseless baby girl. Now Kelly wants to gaslight and play victim. Her guilty conscience came out in her "argument" with me. Extremely unprofessional.

I actually enjoy the daycare, I think the hours are very favorable to working parents as well as…read morebeing a place where the instructors/staffers seem to really interact with the children. My child really enjoys going there and is excited in the mornings walking in. As a parent I can say one of the things that is always cautious is that you never know a 100% what is going on with your child so a lot of trust is involved but from what I have seen and the reactions I get from my child they have a very fun hands on program with the kids and you couldn't really ask much more. I will probably re-review in the coming years when my child enters the older classrooms to see how the development is handled. As of now though it is pretty good.

While they were enrolled for summer camp 2025, communication started in February on my end as my one child does have needs that require support. I provided IEPs, communications about him having and aide with him for part of the day and all of the tools necessary for them to be successful (allergy safe snacks, noise cancelling headphones, sensory toys, special books and projects, etc). On day 1 - I wish I had walked out and never went there again, but everyone is an expert with hindsight. At dropoffs week 1 the main teacher for summer camp, Miss Marissa, showed no interest in interacting with my child or listening on how to support my child with the most basics of needs. When I was giving her specific instructions on day 2 she stopped listening and did not even acknowledge my child to play with her own child. When I reported this to the owner, it was confirmed by another employee..... who was soon let go. During the short time (3.5 weeks) my kids attended camp the thing I received the most contact about was if items that the school wanted to provide foodwisw were safe because of food allergies; I packed snacks daily due to food allergies so there was absolutely no need for food to be provided by the school. There was never how can we support your child, it was always encouraging his aide to keep him at a separate table like an outcast and the wanting to know what time was I going to be there instead of making any effort to make NELC feel safe for him. I offered so many resources and insights and no effort on their end was made. My child's tutor also reached out to offer resources and training and NELC wanted me to pay for any additional support. The owner made it a point to tell me when she had to come in early or leave later because of my child. Several days at pickup there was a child stimming; Miss Marissa regularly told him to stop and find a book to read. Again, another sign I should've followed my gut and stopped sending my kids. Daycares in general have shifted and I was so hopeful for a new small business in a local town; instead we found a place that discriminates, antagonized a child with needs when they were told daily that the child needs to feel safe and actively recruits child with special needs to attend. The 2 teachers that bonded with my kiddo when he was where short term employees and left after interacting with my child and reporting all good things. I am sharing this as for a childcare center for your average child it may be fine, but for kiddos with ANY needs- steer clear as 5 months after pulling my child we are still navigating the trauma associated with NELC and how the owner Patty and Marissa treated him. He was there for 30 minutes 2 days a week without an aide and in that short time they completely ignored him when he needed help and didn't even attempt to support basic needs to keep my child safe. The last day my kids went I came home to finding out that there was a physical interaction between my kids that day that I never received any notification about. I immediately pulled my kids that night and was told I was responsible for several weeks of tuition and disbelief that I was pulling my kids. No mention of physical interaction between my kids or any issues that day; fast forward the following week when the state went out to investigate after they were no longer enrolled I received a incident report my child with severe food allergies ingested non-food a week prior.

The center itself gives you the warm feeling of an in-home but the accountability and curriculum of a licensed daycare. My daughter started when I went back to work at 6 months and is currently 17 months old. The teachers at clockwise are so kind and attentive to her needs. They notice everything and keep me updated. Every day we get a report which is so helpful to see how long she napped, what she ate, etc. Clockwise taught her how to crawl, walk, transition to formula, and even transition off bottles. We have had a wonderful year and I would definitely recommend Clockwise to anyone who is looking for a daycare. As you can see from the pictures, she loves it there!
