We chilled for awhile listening to the music, meeting the locals, watching the sunset over the mountains and all their cows in the fields, just sippin on some cool iced tea and lemonades while they put the finishing touches on the food. I was kinda disappointed they didn't have someone ringing a triangle when the food was ready. And afterwards they had Barts Ice Cream selling small little cups of only 3 of their flavors, I think $4 a cup? It was a very small portion and only 3 flavors, but I guess we were lucky to have even that, It's just one person who has to drag a cart all the way behind the house. You can go inside the farm store and they have some baked goods and some ice cream sandwiches and other yummy things. They brought they're pony or donkey out to say hi to everyone. All their cows came right up to the fence and started eating the piles of corn husks and we got to feed them and pet them too. It was just such a great evening with good people and such a small town welcoming kindness that's getting harder and harder to find now a days. Love the place, love the food, love the people. This guy is not a cook: he's a chef . My favorite thing is asking him about the soup he will describe how to make the broth in such detail that if I was smart enough to take notes I could steal the recipe of of course it wouldn't taste as good. The staff and I hate to use that word because it sounds so formal , is always one step ahead of you in terms of what you need or what you want. They are friendly and nice and welcoming .
