My friends and I came here for lunch, looking for some good pizza and a salad, and it was very good. The crust on the pizza was delicious and crunchy. We first found Buckland Pizza about 40 years ago, and have been loyal customers ever since. A few years ago now, the place changed hands, but fortunately, the food and recipes have stayed exactly the same. If you're a fan of Greek-style pizza, they have the best crust, the best sauce, and the freshest ingredients for at least 30 miles in any direction. Toppings? Loaded! Grinders? Lots of fresh meat and veggies, with a nice, soft roll that easily holds up to it all. A large is two meals for most folks. My only wish is for them to have pastrami as an option. I'd eat there three times a week. Meals? Bring your appetite! The starter salad is a meal unto itself. You may leave with a take-home box, but I guarantee it will be because you can't possibly eat any more. You'll want to - you just won't be able to. Buckland Pizza also offers burgers, salads, and chicken fingers, not to mention wings (fried) that are surprisingly good. I'd give them five stars easily, except for the fact that the pizza crust is a little too wide for my taste. On the other hand, the crust is excellent, so I just treat it as breadsticks and my day is complete. Shelburne Falls is a great little walking town with lots of small shops, from bookstores to a bakery to a craft brewery and more. Not to mention the famous Bridge of Flowers. It's a great town to spend a day. Just be sure to stop at Buckland Pizza. Eat in or take out. read more

We just had the best, best dinner here! Two of us had eggplant parm and my friend who can't eat any dairy, gluten or allium, had a grilled chicken salad, and I've never seen her eat with more enthusiasm. Not only was the food top notch (also: huge quantities, and many many more choices besides pizza), both the woman at the counter and the chef/owner were super nice and fun. Food is good. I can now get gluten free pizza again after years of denial. Cost a few dollars more, but worth it. Service is good - and this is a busy place. They do a huge take out business. The new owners are user friendly and can actually talk to one like a person-nuff said there. Ambiance-typical of what one finds in a country setting; and they do seem to keep up with all the housekeeping that goes along with such an enterprise. It's my one & only 'pizza joint'. I have been coming to Buckland Pizza since I was a kid, so there's a nostalgia factor, but no matter what, they make a GREAT pizza! The crust is light, buttery and crisp, never soggy! The toppings are always great, never greasy. It is located directly across from the Bridge of Flowers which is a wonderful walk after a great pizza. I can't figure out why this place has a mix of negative reviews, this pizza was delicious!!! Seriously, it can be really hard to find good pizza sometimes, but these guys have nailed the recipe for the chicken-bacon-ranch pizza. You've gotta try it. Loved the pizza. Good topping selections and picky kiddos were happy. They had fountain sodas or Gatorade beverages from a cooler. Was visiting bridge of flowers went In Here to Order pizza TO GO for the first time with my Kids and was waited on by owner my bill was 36 n some change i put $1- on the tip line when I signed then drew a line after it as I always do. A week later noticed I was charged $48 even from there. I call and they put the owner on right away and he says right away oh I remember u I waited on You and Have ur receipt right here and it says $10 tip!! I'm like I deff wrote a Dollar someone added a zero it was a pizza to go why would I tip $10 on a $36 to go order that's not what I wrote and he told me I could drive back for a refund of $9 but This is wrong and it's stealing and I think people should pay attention to their card statements. I think they know whose a tourist or out of towner and is ripping them off knowing they probably won't drive back to get a refund and Plays it off if u catch it. PAY ATTENTION!! This is an above-average example of a classic New England pizza joint. Good sauce, a bit too generous with the cheese, and a really hearty crust, a tiny bit on the thick side, chewy and cooked just to the point where the outer edge of the crust is crispy, without being burned or dried out. I'm a bit surprised to see that it's gotten such bad reviews. It is a small-town pizza joint, not a big city pizza joint. When the lady behind the counter told me how long it would take to make a pizza, she looked like she was expecting me to get pissed off and walk out, and was pleasantly surprised when I didn't. I don't actually remember how long she said it would be, but I do recommend calling in advance if you're planning to pick up a pie for takeout. The only reason I mention this is that another reviewer thought they were unfriendly here; I suspect that it was just a big down/small town miscommunication. Just across the way from both the Bridge of Flowers and the Iron Bridge. The House menu includes pizza (in small 10" or large 16" only), baked pasta dishes, fried seafood, grinders and so on. Environs is basic mishmash of wood or vinyl booths, tables in the middle, and paper plates and plastic utensils. You order first at the counter, get your seat to which the waitstaff brings your drinks and meal, then pay after you eat. The twist is the Greek specialties, like the Moussaka pizza (with eggplant, sliced meatballs and spaghetti sauce). The Husband ordered anchovies, sausage and mushrooms (and regular tomato sauce). The dough was thicker--almost but not quite like focaccia--but nicely crisped at the bottom and the crust. Their beer and wine prices are unmatched - $4.50 for a glass of wine? Yes please. I have always been fond of Buckland Pizza. It definitely beats Christopher's. I will say the owners are sweet Italians! I do think they need to do some updating on their website. Also, when they say your food will be ready in 20minutes, give them 30 or just add ten minutes on to whatever they tell you. I always end up waiting if I come when they tell me. Lastly--- they need to change their business time advertisement. I waited to order to night because their website and Yelp both say they close at 9pm on a Sunday. So I call at 8 to place my order and they say 'Sorry, we are now closed. I told them that their website says 9pm and the girl replied 'Sorry, not tonight.'' So I'm not sure if that was a one time deal or not but it was disappointing, I was looking forward to pizza for movie night. read more

Yesterday ordered a small turkey grinder with American cheese, pickles, lettuce and mayonnaise the total was $5.50. What Buckland pizza gave me was a nasty grilled grinder. Rather than giving me turkey they decided to give me a gross chicken tender to substitute. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of my food that I couldn't finish it. When I went to go pay for my food it turns out that if you decide to get toppings on your grinder it costs extra. So I payed for $7.50 for a nasty grinder.
