It's hard to sit down and actually fit every thing that I'm thankful for into one little review. All I know is that my life wouldn't be the same without the help of Rick Fortune. Motion PT in Severna Park is a great place, very friendly and helpful and inviting. Brian's super cheery and goes out of his way to be awesome. But the thoroughness of the Physical Therapist, Rick Fortune, is unmatched by any other therapist I've seen (and I've seen a lot!). He plays detective and gets down to the exact causes for each client's issues. His level of detail and keen observation is simply astonishing. He can find the core causes of many complex issues and map out a plan to lead to healing in a complete way. He's strong, and his determination to help get each client to a better place is unwavering. He sacrificially helps each and every person that walks through the door, without complaint. His selfless dedication is appreciated by all who know him. Clients ranging in age from their early 20's through the elder 80's have come back in to exuberantly catch up with Rick and thank him again for what he has done for them. Between back, hip, ankle, foot, neck and bone deformity adventures, Rick has pioneered his way to find healing for me. I'm able to do things now, comfortably and confidently, that I had ultimately given up the hope of ever doing again. He has equipped me with the skills I need to be successful as I go out and live life. He's given me a plan of action to conquer anything, he's taught me how to pay attention to my body so I can adapt as needed to unforeseen obstacles, he's given me HOPE. I'll be forever grateful for every day that man has patiently put up with me. Cypress Creek Therapy (CCT) came highly recommended from my exceptional podiatrist physician, Dr Donald Harrison, DPM. My ailment was plantar fasciitis. I started my sessions 1 Dec 2016 and ended 30 Jan 2017, at their Severna Park site (other site is in Edgewater) administered by their excellent, caring and efficient Physical Therapist (PT) Krystal Muller, PT, DPT. At start date my foot pain was extremely severe; by the end of Dec it was moderare, and then mid Jan to release date the pain was pretty much gone. Currently there is no pain. My final review with Dr Donald Harrison, DPM (2Feb2017); he stated that my problem normally would take up to six months to heal, he was very much impressed that my ailment was combatted In 2 months, that's why he sends all his patients to CCT because of his patients immediate successes; he then released me the same day. I owe all my success to CCT, specifically Krystal Muller for her caring, patience, expert analization of my ailment, to come up with and administer the expert treatment exercise program. In my opinion, CCT is a friendly family therapeutic oriented modern day facility environment, with spacious clean work areas, able to accommodate multiple clients, with multitude of issues of all ages daily. From their receptionists, Patient Care Rep (Courtney Koehler), PT, and Post Excercise Treatment staff, CCT is truly professional in all phases of therapy, CCT is the only Therapist service for me and my family, therefore I highly encourage and recommend their services to all who need any form of therapy regardless of age. I came to CCT by recommendation of my daughter who is employed there. I live in Bowie and have other PT offices closer, but decided to travel to SP to seek treatment. What a great choice! I was able to schedule with ease for all my appointments. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. On my first visit, I had an EVAL with the director, Abby, who explained all about my knee issues. She even taped my patella which is not something I even thought to do! The relief from the taping alone was great. I have learned how to correctly tape and still tape my patella from time to time. I spent most of my therapy with Ann in the pool. I learned so much from her. And the pool gave me so much assistance while rehabbing these knees. As a newly retired nurse, I have even thought about teaching AQ classes at my club pool. I am very thankful for the therapists I saw at CCT (Megan, Matt, Abby and Ann) and will surely recommend them to my friends.(I already recommended my other daughter to see them) TY CCT! read more

Success story: In October, 2011 I broke my leg playing soccer. I was hospitalized for two months due to this injury and had 15 surgeries on it including skin and vein grafts from my thigh and a bone graft from my hip. The doctor in the first hospital I was at informed me that I would probably be unable to walk without a cane for the rest of my life. Four months after the incident I had another set back because my leg was not healing properly, so doctors had to put an external fixator on my leg which entailed 9 pins into my tibia and a wire that ran through my knee. After having this contraption put on my leg I started to attend Cypress Creek Therapy and I am now walking without any cane or supportive device and hope to play lacrosse in the Spring. As a mom to a young 5 yr old boy, I was very nervous about him entering kindergarten. He seemed to be very behind in writing skills, had difficulty maintaining attention and his speech was very difficult to understand. He received both Occupational and speech therapy and made tremendous He writes and reads in the top groups in his class, despite being one of the youngest in the class. His speech, however, has been the greatest transformation. We couldn't recommend Laura G enough. While our sons progress was most important to us, the fact that she was so wonderful at explaining goals and how he was performing, made it so much easier for us to see his progress. Cannot recommend her enough:) He is now discharged from all services and is thriving in school, finishing up his kindergarten year. read more

I actually first heard of Cypress Creek Therapy thru Groupon for their Personal Training. I purchase the 10 half hour sessions. And had the BEST 5 Hour worth of personal training. Louben was absolutely AMAZING!!!!...he had me doing all sorts of different exercises for each of my sessions which I absolute loved. One session we did not touch any traditional work out equipment. We used these heavy tires etc., then he had me pulling them, flipping them and hitting them with a sledge hammer e, did stairs and then had me do these rope thingies which is a lot tougher then it looks on the biggest loser. My 8 year old spent 12 weeks in therapy with Ms Roxie and Ms Simone and he looked forward to every week. As I waited for him to finish each week I would hear both he and the therapist giggling and having FUN! PT wasn't a chore for him or me because he enjoyed it and so I enjoyed taking him! Now he asks to stop by just to say hi to his therapists. I think this experience will stay with him as a great memory as he grows into an adult! Where an obstacle that my son had to overcome could have made him feel less adequate, his experience was exactly the opposite and he is now excelling in sports because of the time spent in PT. read more

I went to Cypress Creek Therapy after seeing their commercials on TV. I'd been suffering from neck pain and chronic migraines for as long as I can remember. After completing their thorough rehab process the difference is like night and day. The atmosphere is fun and playful yet the therapists clearly know what they're doing.
