20 years ago, Motor Music installed Diamond Audio speakers/sub/amp to my 2003 M3. Kept the stock GPS head unit. It sounded like crap. Fast forward to present day they installed a Kenwood Excelon DMX 958 XR head unit. Now it finally sounds like it should have a long time ago. It rocks! Thank you Jason and the install crew at Motor Music!

We've been there three times now, the most recent time this weekend, when they were able to replace our car's broken stereo and replace it with a top-quality system that included a component with Apple CarPlay and a backup camera! Their work is fast, efficient, on time, and good quality. Please support local businesses like Motor Music!

Bad rear camera install! First, the install of the rear camera turned out to be a mess shortly after it rained, and I started to get water damage to my new toyota rav 4 prime hybrid. I was very worried that this new car was going to get damaged, and i took it to the dealer rectify this bad install. I wanted to avoid a very expensive battery water damage bill, so I took it to sf toyota dealer to fix this bad install. I honestly did not feel comfortable having motor music mess up my car even further. I just wanted this issue fixed & resolved, I asked the owner to pay for the correction and he stated he would not. this is my first EV plugin vehicle, and I didn't want them (MC) to mess it up any further. after paying $600 for install to Motor Music aka Sound Alarm, Toyota Dealer fix/correction was $342 from the car is good now no more water damage in the trunk, lesson learned don't come to this place for anything other than woofers or stereos if that. Watch water intrusion video: https://youtube.com/shorts/LnvEzp4MVC4 SF Toyota Dealer notes: Client states there is water leaking from rear hatch interior panel, asm verified on service drive. inspect and advise. verified customer's complaint. verified water is leaking in the top side of the rear hatch door. found aftermarket wiring on the door hatch. found the aftermarket wire is making a gap between the weatherstrip and the plastic hatch panel. inspected around where the aftermarket wiring is wiring to and found the rubber grommet that seals between the rear hatch door and rear back side of the vehicle has a gap and is not secured properly. secured the grommet properly. recommend drilling a hole on the plastic panel and wire the aftermarket camera wire inside the panel so the weatherstrip is sealing the rear hatch properly. drilled a hole on the plastic rear hatch door panel. applied felt tape to dampen noise on the wire. reinstalled components and performed water leak test. verified water is not leaking inside the vehicle. sprayed water for 10 minuter and verified no leaks present. total cost $ 342.00

i could not be happier! my 95 gmc vandura van had old original speakers in the dash. no one wanted to deal with taking the whole dash out to replace. they were so blown out i could barely hear while driving. then my car alarm remote broke and i couldn't open my doors automatically or turn on alarm. i called and Willie answered. he walked me through many options snd said they could help me out. i arrived at 10am. he looked at my van and said they could custom cut holes in my door and put some nice speakers in the door, instead of pulling out the dash. i was a bit hesitant to cut into my vibey van doors. Willie said i could put in bigger speakers that way and it would sound really good woth my stereo. i agreed and said yes. then they were able to fix my remote!! and program a second one for me so i have a back up. Willie called to say my car was done at 2:30! i was so impressed. omggggggggg!! my new speakers rock!! my system sounds a million times better!! wow. what a seamless experience. i'm so impressed with these guys. they were so easy to work with. very professional and worked within my budget, which was very small. i highly highly recommend them. they had a lot of inventory and options. thank you to all the staff!! i'll tell everyone i know to go to you for their car stereo and alarm needs!

Great work , they do a quick deck install with zero issues thanks pedro and Hussein

Came in to get a new head unit installed on a 1991 Mercedes 420SEL. Willie sold me an Alpine…read moreUTE-73BT for $179. It was $30 more than Crutchfield, but that was fine. I was going to have them do the install, so I was fine paying more. Dropped it off at 10am expecting to get it back the same day, but that didn't happen. First they said that they couldn't get the factory Becker deck out so they may have to destroy the faceplate. What? They said someone must have broken the pins, because their removal keys weren't working. Mind you, this factory deck has NEVER been touched. Original owner here! Gave my permission to do what they needed to remove. Mind you, they didn't do a bad job, despite forcing deck out. There was minimal damage to the front faceplate, only the side connectors. But still. I'm not convinced they had the right radio removal keys. Next issue, they said there were some stock mini amplifiers connected so they had to do some rewiring. Fine. Do whatever you need. Then, they said the antenna wasn't working and wanted to install a new windshield antenna. At this point, I just wanted the work done so I gave the go-ahead. I picked up the car then next day. Everything seemed fine. Come to realize the hazard light button wasn't working. Then noticed the analog clock was not working. Then it dawned on me why they couldn't get the stock antenna to work. They blew the 8amp fuse that the radio, antenna, hazard switch and clock were connected to. I replaced the fuse, and presto, clock and hazards are now working. Soooo. They must have re-routed power to the new head unit from a different source and never bothered mentioning it to me. They sold me a new antenna cause the factory antenna "wasn't working" when it was likely a blown fuse. My 1 day $479 estimate turned into a 2 day $800+ install. As a professional install shop, I expected much, much more. 1. You should have been able to figure out the fuse was blown and not sell me a $200 antenna for no reason other than the factory antenna doesn't work. Did you not check the fuse? 2. This should have been done in 1 day as promised. It was a stock head unit replacement. 3. If you're going to re-route power, maybe you should mention that so I know which new fuse to check if I have issues in the future. 4. How about testing everything else stills works after the install? I.e. hazard lights? Clock? To their credit, the new deck works fine and Willie is a nice guy. He's just the sales guy, so I can't fault him too much. Again, I expected more from a professional install.

I am so glad I finally reached out to through Yelp to find someone who can resolve my issue, and it was Fernando at Bay Radio! From the start, they were incredibly responsive through Yelp and worked around my busy schedule with total flexibility. When I arrived, there was no wait--they checked me in immediately, and parking right in front of the store was a huge plus. The turnaround time for my car was also quicker than expected. It's been a couple weeks and my issue is resolved completely. What really blew me away was their transparency. Their diagnosis fee was the best I found, and they were upfront about every cost so there were no surprises. They also took photos of what they found and explained the fix to me in simple terms so I understood exactly what I was paying for. The service was speedy, and they fixed the issue perfectly at a better rate than anywhere else. If you're looking for an honest, fast, and professional team, this is the place to go!

It's been 6 months since Jason had installed a Thinkware U3000 dash cam for both the front and rear…read moreof my 2025 Lexus during late January and they both work great, without any issues. I was originally going to buy a Vantrue N4 Pro 3 Channel 4K dash cam from Amazon (as I had an older version of a Vantrue in my old car) and have that professionally installed, but was advised by Jason the reasons why he felt the Thinkware is better and after doing some research on this and comparing the two, I decided to go with his suggestion and am glad that I did and have no regrets. With the Vantrue installed on my 2007 Scion tC back in 2021, there were numerous issues in the beginning with both the front & rear dash cam and wiring/cables not working properly, with a lot of back and forth contacting the manufacturer and having them send me the camera units and cables from China, at least three times. Even though I had that dash cam installed professionally, the whole thing was a huge headache as it took a while for everything to work properly. There was a risk with this possibly happening again and it complicating things down the road, especially considering how Jason didn't recommend that model/manufacturer and the reasons why it's really not necessary to have an LED screen on the front unit for you to look at. Jason showed up at my residence to install and although I was quoted about 3 hours, it took less time than that. I did find it so much more convenient that unlike the last time I had a dash cam installed in my old car with having to go out of my way and the stress about the lack of parking at the dash cam business, having it installed in front of your home was absolutely stress free, for sure. Jason explained clearly how to operate the dash cam, how to use the app that came with it, he was a pleasure to speak to, provided excellent, professional service and the work done with installing the cameras was fantastic. Upon viewing files on the app of what's being recorded from the Thinkware U3000, the quality of the videos from both the front and rear are of really good quality, everything is crystal clear.
