Today I called the nurse line for advice concerning chest pain and her main concern was concerning my address for the 5th time after I was transferred and transfer just to get to her. Officer Sthallings incessant refusal to accept receipt of delivered Domino's pizza and share it made the enjoyable padded cell suicide watch slightly less enjoyable. Although his positive attitude and enjoyable personality made the nights more fun at least. Officer "Big Red" Langley was humorous and dutiful to loyally bring TP and escort me to med 3A frequently at nights as that days nutritious and delicious quality swill ran through me. I'd like to thank Officer Saunders for always being joyful and respectful, it was a pleasure to see Saunders in medical most days. To the screaming schizophrenic, I'll miss you, the incessant chronic masturbator not so much. And yes to the nurse who needed to know, I did go to The connection center with him, no my hands were never stickier. Speaking of sticky that's probably the best single word to describe the jail, if one had to describe it in a single word, one could even say that the floors there were sticky even after big mop for some reason. I'm leaving this here for anyone that's about to go in, specifically women…read more Be prepared When I self surrendered in I was escorted to an infermary bay housing 11 women. There were only four cots so we slept on the floor. The room was about the size of a bedroom with one exposed toilet and a shower with a broken curtain.There was one person in there that had been kept in there for 3 weeks. Having gone out for recreational time once. There was a satellite phone to be used for calls but when asking to use it, or ask for anything, most CO's acted like they couldn't hear you so you would have to repeat yourself until eventually giving up and deciding not to ask for anything. This was NOT for medical inmates but simply because they would rather house the women in there than one of the pods being used for the men. When hitting the control button to inquire about court dates, getting pads, the phone, or information regarding release you are met with them telling you the button was for emergencies only, except COs rarely ever checked to see if we needed anything. They always were out of period pads when girls needed them and didn't switch out our clothes or linnens once. Multiple times people who were detoxing were brought in instead of being held in their own cell so you delt with sleeping on the floor next to vomit, pee, and feces for hours then being forced to clean it yourself. They lied about the phone being turned on and off during certain times of the day just so they didn't have to walk and go grab it. And when they said they were going to charge it it always came back dead. There was no privacy from the windows facing out toward the hallways so changing, showering, and using the toilet were all done in front of male guards. Meals are at 4am 10:30am then 3pm. The lights never go off, and the CO's would laugh and converse during shift change in the morning to keep you from being able to sleep. If you have to self surrender, do yourself a favor and go down to Camp Verde to do so. Jail is not supposed to be fun, easy, or even comfortable. But being in a small room with 11 other women, around bodily fluids, and neglect from the COs was simply inhumane.

Prescott Justice Court REVIEW: Prescott Justice Court --…read moreJudicial Officer David Parker Case: Small Claims Hearing, March 13, 2026 (1 out of 5 stars) I appeared in Prescott Justice Court on March 13, 2026 for a small claims case involving a clear violation of Arizona's security deposit statute (A.R.S. § 33-1321). I came fully prepared with tabbed exhibits, documented evidence including a USPS postmark proving my landlord mailed my deposit four days past the statutory deadline, and relevant case law including an Arizona Supreme Court decision. The statute is clear: if a landlord returns a deposit late, the tenant is entitled to twice the amount wrongfully withheld. This is mandatory, not discretionary. To the best of my recollection, Judicial Officer David Parker: 1. Stated words to the effect that he "may apply the statute" but "doesn't have to" -- despite the law being mandatory. 2. Excused the landlord's violation of Arizona law by stating words to the effect that the defendant "is old" and that I should "understand she doesn't follow the law all the time" because of her age. Age is not a legal defense. 3. Awarded only $200 when the statute required $2,612.88. 4. Abruptly ended the hearing with words to the effect of "we're done here" when I respectfully pointed out that the statute does not provide exceptions based on age. I presented clear evidence. The law was on my side. The Arizona Supreme Court has ruled on this exact issue. None of it mattered. If you are a tenant seeking justice against a landlord in Prescott Justice Court, be aware that the law may not be applied as written. I have filed a complaint with the Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct.

The courthouse is the center of Prescott's Town Square and is surrounded by a park-like grass area and huge old trees. There are sculptures and the area is often decorated for the season. Fourth of July and Christmas are some of the most impressive seasonal decorations. Is a great place to walk around on a cool evening.
