We have a 2003 Monte Carlo SS that sat in a dealership service department for 30 days and they couldn't figure out why it had trouble starting and would die periodically when driving. My wife contacted these folks, made an appointment and dropped it off the night before. They let her know the following morning that the ignition switch needed to be replaced, what the price was and that they could have it done that day. This repair shop was recommended to me by an acquaintance who is an auto glass repairman in Plainfield. We've been searching for a good mechanic at a reasonable price for our aging cars. This is the place! My husband's car had a vibration from the rear right wheel but we didn't know exactly what it was. This shop called us an hour after they opened and told us we needed the hub assembly replaced. It was $158 for parts and $90 for labor. I approved the work but wasn't able to pick up the car until 4 days later. They said, "no problem", in a friendly tone! The repair work was perfect and the bill was exactly right. The lady I dealt with was very knowledgeable and courteous. The place is 30+ years old, but neat as a pin. They have a beautiful mural painted on the wall and automobile collectibles displayed. I am very unhappy with this place. They charged me 80 bucks and never fix anything with my car. They said they would call the cops if I didn't pay. I was being yelled at by the manager named Jennifer. There were two male mechanics that work there who were yelling at me also. I thought this was an honest place to get your car fixed at a good price. Was visiting family in Lockport when my brakes suddenly stopped working on my SUV. My parents and their friends highly recommended Motors N More to me as being an honest, reliable & affordable mechanic, they were absolutely correct. Although they were very busy, they said they would check out the car's brakes and let me know what they thought. It turned out my car's Master Brake Cylinder needed replacing. When said they could get the part in a couple of HOURS (I was expecting days) and have it fixed by the afternoon for less than I would have spent in the city, I was completely floored and grateful. NTB was going to charge me 1067 (120 an hour for labor) for 2 lower control arms, 2 sway bars and an alignment. I found some control arms for 160 (for both, duralast) at Autozone for 20% off and had Motors and More do the labor. (They were able to use the old sway bars.) Had the car aligned at dellwood tire for 85 bucks with tax and after all was said and done and all added up I was at 465. That's a 602 dollar savings over ntb. These guys are great. The only issue is you usually have to wait a week to get in but that's because they are busy due to their quality work and reasonable prices. read more

I made an appointment and told them specifically that I needed both cv joints replaced in my front end due to a vibration during acceleration. Also needed front breaks. They fixed the breaks , work great, but didn't replace the cv joints, told me they didn't think that was the cause of the vibration. Thing is, I didn't ask for a diagnosis. I wanted th cv joints REPLACED. WASTED MY TIME. Vibration in the front is still there , no change, Now need to find someone to do what I WANT to pay to have done . Work I've had done there in the past was good but I won't be back and don't recommend them. read more

I needed the bulbs switched out in my headlights. I had purchased the bulbs elsewhere...took a chance and stopped at Motors and More to see if they would onstall them. I was happy to pay to have it done but I practically had to beg him to take some money for it. And they did it in less than 10 min. Great mechanics who are fair, honest, and fast. I had my oil changed at Merlin and they told me my exhaust needed a muffler and had leaks in a flex pipe and and along the exhaust pipe. They quoted me over $500 to fix it. I took it to Motors n More and was told I only needed a muffler and the price was much cheaper, even just for the muffler! Needless to say just the muffler was fixed and my vehicle sounds great. That's why I never let anyone besides M n M do repairs on mine and my fiances vehicles. read more

I was trying to get my cars window fixed here and they ended up not fixing my cars window. I was charged 80 bucks for a job that wasn't even started let alone finished. I can't believe the way I was talked to here. Jennifer the manager and two male mechanics were very rude the way They talked to me. They even said they would call the cops if I didn't pay. Simply one of the best repair shops ever. Very rare to find a family owned business like this. Very polite and very knowledgeable. The next time your check engine light comes on this is the place to take it too. Skip Autozone. I was replacing parts on my car and still couldn't get the light to go off. Took it too motors and more and they found the problem in the wiring harness. I should have went there first!! They fixed the car twice now, and it runs great. read more

My brother and I have taken all our vehicles to Motors n More for many many years. If you want honest, friendly, quick, reasonably priced service for your vehicles, this is the place to go to! The young lady that answers the phone is always super friendly and so very helpful. Not a corporate chain here, that's for sure! Most mechanics always FIND something wrong with your car; I NEVER have that worry with this place. At times, they have just topped off certain fluids that my vehicle required to run properly at no charge!
