I had a problem with the tire on my Z for it kept coming low so I try taking it to tracks where they told me I couldn't get in there for two days so I looked online and found these folks had the equipment to work on a run flat tire which is what you have with a Z4 so I went over there and sat and read my book for 20 minutes and they found there was stuff on the rim that was making it leak they fixed it put it back on charge me 25 bucks and I was out the door such a good place and I'll go back read more

I am not being honest by rating with one star. In truth , they earned less than zero . I took the vehicle in for a oil change, waited for the door to open and a thin pony tailed guy had a BAD attitude from the get go. I noticed the shop help was acting like they were all on some kind of dope, and looking at the cell phones a lot, not working. Not a friendly place to go, and will take my business elsewhere from now on. A person just wants to get their vehicle taken care of, NOT go to the zoo. Acted as though they were doing me a BIG favor. October 2018 I took my car to Gamboas and they put Brake Pads and Rotors on front and back. The car is driven 10 miles to/from work and a few weekly errands around Mokena. I've put 12,000 miles on the car since the brakes and rotors were replaced. I took the car back in this week to Mikes Auto Service to be told I needed Brakes and Rotors again because Gamboas didn't do the job properly! Gamboas left the hub and mounting bracket full of rust decaying the rotors they replaced. Broke a screw off while trying to replace and overall just did a terrible job. Rotors are supposed to last 50,000-70,000 miles! Do Not go to GAMBOAS! Rip-Off and con artists! Save yourself a headache and a lot of money and take your car to Mike's Auto Service. I took my 90 year old mother's ten year old car in today because it needed a new minor part. While there my mom wanted them to check the rest of the car to see if anything else needed to be done. She thought the car might need new tires. I worked with Ken and told him my mom wanted everything checked out. He couldn't have been nicer and after waiting only one hour for them to replace the part and check out the car entirely he told me she didn't need new tires just some air and they changed the oil. The entire bill was only $130 INCLUDING the $80.00 part. If Ken had come out and said we needed four new tires and a bunch of other fixes I would have said to go ahead. You can 100% trust Gamboa's and that's why mom has been bringing her car there for years. My appointment was at 2pm and I was out of there by 3:10pm. I needed brakes. So I called the dealer and asked how much? No need to go there. I called Gamboas and they quoted a fair price. I prefer to support local business. I set the appointment and they said they would be done in the afternoon but will call when done. Everything went great good service, on time, reasonable prices and close to home. TERRIBLE customer service. We made an appointment over a week in advance, dropped our car off the night before the appt... and at 3:30 the next day WE called for an update and they had not even run diagnostics yet. The manager was rude and unapologetic that the repair would not be done until the following day, and did not feel we deserved a prior heads-up that they were running behind. I was not asking for a miracle, only a common courtesy phone call so that I could make other transportation arrangements to get to work the next day. He refused to even make eye contact when we went back for the keys. They lost a long-time customer simply because of their disrespectful attitude toward their customers. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE & INEXPERIENCED STAFF!!......Took my truck in to ha`ve wire and plugs put in and a small leak from trans. They called me and said truck is ready. WHen I started it up it was shaking very bad . Had to bring it back. Called me again and said it was ready . Started it up, same problem. Brought it back again and it seemed to run fine. When I got home I looked under the truck and a pool of transmission fluid on the ground. They said they replaced the pan and fill tube. It's leaking from the pan. Don't even think I needed a new pan!. Called them, Mananger said bring it in. Are you kidding me? The fourth time! They can't even put a sparkplug wire on properly! I will go someplace else where they know what they are doing. DON"T GO THERE!!! read more

I have gone here for years. I have had my brakes checked twice. They could have installed them but they told me there was plenty of pads left and for the amount of miles I put on, to come back at the end of Summer and they will check them again. Gave me my keys back and there was no charge. Also as everyone else is mentioning they have an oil change place that is right next door and it is open on Sundays! I dropped my car off at 9pm looking for the after hours drop box and couldn't find one. The gas station to the southwest is also owned by the Gamboa franchise. A couple of weeks ago my husband took a car in to get a full set of new tires!$$took him right in!!! $$$$$. Last week I stopped in and said my husband was in the city in the hospital. And could they please check the alternator ...no,way too busy! , this was Thursday? And he couldn't take it till Monday, I asked if he could just see if it was safe to drive? husband in hospital, etc... Nope, wouldn't even come out to look at it! So I asked a co worker, since I couldn't burden my husband, she suggested DeRe 430 Nelson Road in New Lenox! Not only did they take it right away, The radiator had a visible crack! Gamboa"s is one of the most honest places you can have your car repaired at. I refer so many people to them and all of them have been very happy with there work. They are very reasonable with there prices too. Just to tell you how honest they are I took my wives car to the dealer to have warranty work done. I wont name the dealer but they told me she needed a $500.00 tune up. Now I know her car is a 2003 but she only has 15,000 miles and the car purrs like a kitten. I told them not to do the tune up and brought it to Gambos and they looked at the car and said she had platinum plugs and would not need a tune up for a long time. Love these guys. From tires to repairs you're always offered a fair price and usally a couple of options. They understand that if you are fair to the customer and respect their wallet, then the customer will come back. I can honestly say that every time I've had work done there, I've been treated the way I feel I should be. Love the GM too - he usually does the quoting and almost always he gives options and leave the choice up to me as to how much I want to send on the repair/replacement. One of the most honest repair places around. Brought my car in and told them I think I needed a new window motor ($300 plus!) turned out to be a $15 switch. On another occasion I needed a new Co2 sensor or something like that (parts and labor $600+) and they suggested that it would probably cheaper if I went to the dealer. Took my car in for a 50,000mi check. They told me my front brake pads needed to be replaced. They changed the pads for me. Less than a week later my brakes were making a horrible sound when I slowed down to complete stop. Took it back to Gamboa's and they said one of the brackets on the brake pad was loose. Thought problem was fixed but it came back again just a few days later. Brought the car back a second time. They found no problem and told me they put extra grease on the brakes. Gee thanks! What really bothers me on top of the fact that my brakes now make a noise that I didn't have before going to Gamboa's is that the manger didn't seem to really care that I was inconvenienced twice after paying for work done at the shop he manages.
