I was pleasantly surprised! I wouldn't normally go to a brewery, but we were looking for a place w entertainment on a Saturday night, and nothing was going on in Bradenton. Needless to say we heard about the Brewery and decided to stop! WOW!!!! A very nice place, very state of the art, lots of room, a giant outdoor Beer Garden with live music, putt putt, bocci ball,corn roll, sp? etc. It offers a great variety in and out, darts inside, beer samplers, all auto and motorcycle motif, loved it!!!!!!!!!!! Three stars for the cool beer garden, but food was horrible (cold & tasteless), service was slow & disorganized. Drinks came out at different times - refills had to be ordered 2 & 3 times! We ordered a pizza (yuck), Blue Cheese Chips (meh) and calamari (served in a tin to-go box on lettuce which made it soggy!) and although we ordered it all at the same time, it all came out separately. We made our own fun with the games & music, but this place could be exceptional if they figure out the food & get their servers some basic training ! The cons first...1) Inexperienced bartenders. I hate to send a drink back, but I've had to do it more than once here. 2) The service is hit or miss. We've been basically ignored on more than one occasion. 3) Every time they have live music, it's the worst bands I've ever heard. The pros are that it's dog friendly, they have a decent outdoor seating area with cornhole if you're into that sort of thing, and they recently had a food truck with some really good wings. One of our favorite stops in Bradenton. Large selection of in house brewed beers. It is one of our places to take out visitors. Worth the effort to come across the skyway bridge. If you are on brewery tour, you should include Motorworks. read more

My only complaint about this place is that I wish it was closer to where we live since we are near Lakewood Ranch. First and foremost is the beer, so many great options. V-Twin Lager, Belgian Golden Winter, Marzen and Orange Blossom Special are just some of my personal favorites. However, what really makes this place great is the atmosphere especially the Beer Garden. Bocce Courts, Cornhole, Giant Jenga and an outdoor movie screen are just some of the reasons this has become our go to place whenever we have friends in town or just want to go have a beer and watch a game. There is still a few more breweries I want to visit in Florida but Motorworks and Funky Buddha in Fort Lauderdale are my favorite spots so far. read more

Motorworks is our regular Friday Happy Hour spot. The space easily accommodates large groups and there's always something to do. There is live music every night and plenty of activities both inside and outside. In the beer garden, we always find ourselves playing corn hole or massive Jenga. The outside is minimally decorated but makes you feel like you aren't in the middle of Bradenton. Great place to kick back and unwind at the end of a long week! read more

Been here a few times and enjoyed the beer and food. Not sure why people comment on it being pricey, we thought it was reasonable. The service is pretty good every time. Wish the food truck had a regular burger instead of sliders but what we have tried was a pleasant surprise. We are glad to have this place in town, especially with the outdoor seating. Fans would be helpful, even under the tree it can get hot so dress appropriately. read more

The service is what stood out here the most. Everyone was so nice. Our waitress Julissa was excellent. The creme ale was very good and I would order it again. I like going to different breweries around the state and the prices were pretty standard. I really liked how many other guest beers they had on draft and that they have a full liqueur bar. Such a hard review to write because I came here for dinner. This place has awesome decor, it is spotlessly clean, and their beers are legit. The Indian Brown Ale is in a class by itself, great malt with enough hops to balance, but doesn't taste like hops juice. I would drink beer here any time. Food? Not so much. The kitchen is slow, took forever to get a grilled cheese sandwich, it was served in a styrofoam tray. They should either close the kitchen and go beer-only, or get serious about the kitchen. Great beer garden. Their beer garden is really nice. There's a large (live oak?) tree in the middle providing shade, artificial turf to keep it from getting dusty/muddy, plenty of cornhole boards and, the afternoon we were there, a live band playing. All the beers I had were good and the bar food better than average. Free popcorn also and friendly service. The only negative I have is that I thought the beer selection was a little over the top. Having one or two beers with hot peppers or pumpkin or citrus is fine, but it seemed like half the beer list had something added. For me I'd prefer a list with a good IPA, imperial IPA, porter, etc. without the added stuff. Just my opinion, and probably others disagree, which is why they have the menu they have. We went after a Pirates spring training game; the weather was great and we had a great time. read more

We love this place! We've probably been here a dozen times or more.. we've always had a great time! We love the crafts beer selection, the décor, and the incredible outdoor area! We also really LOVE the food trucks! We moved here from San Diego where the food truck scene is huge! Florida needs to get on board.. we love that Motorworks has the FOOD TRUCKS! Great date night place! Me and my wife have a hectic life between work and children. We started our date night @world of beer (which was terrible!) and ended our night here. The beer was top notch! We got jalapeño poppers for an appetizer and talked with very nice fellow patrons. The bartenders are very welcoming and helpful navigating the beer menu. read more

My Fiancé and I have gone here 4 times so I feel this review is honest. The place has a great vibe and live music is great but the BIGGEST down fall is customer service. You almost have to beg someone to give them cash for a beer or food. Each time has been the same, bartenders are rude and very short and not friendly, staff will walk right past you over and over like it's an inconvenience for them to serve you and there is obviously no management structure. The last visit struck my last nerve. Brought my mom out for some live music and sat down at a table. Waitress after waitress walked by and NEVER even acknowledged us. We eventually said something after 30 minutes and the girl told us someone would be back to help but another 30 minutes NOTHING. We walked out and spent our money elsewhere. My wife and I looked forward to trying out this brewery for several months. It is located near our house and looked like a great place to get a beer and a bite to eat. We finally went on a Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm. There were four in our party- my wife, myself, our daughter and her boyfriend. Where should I begin? We arrived expecting live music that the website advertised from 12-10pm. However when we arrived we were told that the live music wouldn't begin until 6 pm. At least the recorded music they played was decent. We decided to sit outside in the garden which was beautiful. After a thorough search we gave up trying to find a clean table and sat at the least dirty one we could find. There was only one waitress working and the poor girl was literally running the entire time we were there waiting on about 25-30 people. Meanwhile several men who were obviously management sat drinking beer watching her struggle and customers wait. When two waiters arrived at 5pm to help, none of them had rags to wipe the tables and one spent more time smoking and texting than helping the waitress who continued running. Speaking of waiting--- we waited fifteen minutes to order our beer and food from a nearby restaurant, Kites, and fifteen minutes for our beer to arrive. It was another ten minutes for our food - two small pizzas and two chicken parm sandwiches. The food truck, a Bavarian brat and schnitzel selection, was fifteen minutes late opening for business and then took thirty minutes to fill our single order of two brats and potato salad. The food from Kites was terrible. Avoid it at all costs. The brats were delicious. I wish we had waited until 5:15 when the food truck opened to order our food. Finally the beer. I wish I could say that the beer made it all worth it. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The four of us tried a total of four different brews...two regulars and two seasonal offerings...and they were all terrible! Not one of us found any of the four palatable. Every one left a terrible aftertaste on the back of the tongue that lingered for hours and actually made my wife sick. Motorworks Brewery was a disappointing, overpriced experience. I would have much rather had a Bella Mia's pizza and a six pack of Killian's Red at home. read more

Motorworks is great! They have an amazing selection of guest taps and bottles but what really impressed me was how good the beer they brew is! I have to admit I am not a drinker, so when i went with a few co-workers I just ordered a diet coke and it was 3.50 - a bit pricey, but I completely loved the atmosphere. The beer garden outback is amazing but I do agree with another reviewer that they should try a barbecue outside instead of the food truck. When I lived in NYC I would frequent the Astoria Beer Gardens and every time they had the barbecue it was PACKED. The area Motorworks is in is not in a good area, but hopefully they will help change that. LOVED the vibe and i look forward to attending the different events they have there each night!! read more
