Terrible service. While we were sitting, the hostess asked us to give up our seats because they were packed. How Rude! and inconsiderate.

If you're looking for bad service, dirty bar counters and overpriced beers this is the place for you. My boyfriend and I drove down from Tampa because he loves their beer so much. Unfortunately, when we got there and sat at the bar the counter was sticky and the server took over 15 mins to take our drink order. She never wiped down the counter and took her time on all things. The beers were ok, but when the bill came out it seemed much higher than what it should have been and of course no itemized statement to support the bill. The atmosphere resembles that of a seedy biker bar, not well lit with torn up bar stools and a staff the complained loudly about their job to anyone who would listen. Still a great place to go for beers but I cut it back to 4 stars because it is more of a stellar bar than a brewery. I went back expecting to see them slowly phase away the guest taps with more of their own brews but negative. The creativity and change has seemed to over look their own brews. Great beers if you can get service. Had to get our first round ourselves and that took a while because bartender had someone she knew walk up and started serving them in the middle of getting our order finished. Sat on patio which was nice and couldn't get a menu even after asking. There were staff around but no one willing to serve. See a second location opening in Orlando. Hope you do better with service. read more

Been here three times and the last two times the service has been absolutely horrible. It's just too bad because it is such cool place. Great beer garden and great live music. But not worth it if you can get anyone to wait on you when you are sitting at a table. read more

don't host a private party at this place. i had a small birthday party in the courtyard, 15 people on a sunday evening and i was charged - $20 venue fee, $24.50 convenience fee, $$27.32 service charge bur of course none of these fees were discussed when i made the reservation. never again. read more

We were in the area doing some outlet shopping and I explained to my girlfriend that if I did not have a cold beer after a day of trudging through store after store, then I could not be held responsible for my actions. After a quick search and fairly short drive we arrived at Motorworks Brewing. The place was very nice and the staff extremely pleasant. They had a nice mix of beers brewed on site and guest taps. I tried a few of their brews and the Motorworks porter probably ranks as my favorite. I am not from the area but I would be extremely likely to come back if I am ever forced to endure outlet shopping again. read more

Not quite sure what they're trying to be at this point. The bar has cool vibe, but the ambiance is ruined a bit with the movie theatre lobby smell of popcorn. As of February, they don't seem to sell food prepared on site. You can purchase food from a food-truck or a local Italian place will deliver. The outdoor area is very nice and will be awesome on summer evenings. They were not serving their own beer when we visited since that seems to still be under development. Our pints were in the $6-$8 range which is pretty pricy for Bradenton where many of the same beers can be had for half the price less than a mile away on Main Street. Hopefully, this will eventually mature to meet its full potential. read more

Visiting Bradenton area, looking for a sport bar type of place. Visited, looked nice so we came back to see Thanksgiving football. Only people in the place. The staff shared their turkey dinner with us. Made our day. The next time we visited on a Sunday, again for football, we sat down and weren't waited on. We were there for over an hour. My wife has multiple sclerosis and wheeling her wheelchair between the chairs and tables, I am sure that they noticed that we were in the brewery, but just chose to ignore us. It wasn't that busy. We left without being served or even noticed. Go figure. read more

Loved the beer garden!!!! Quite large when you walk in, there's tons of seating and a bar that runs the length of the room. Walking all the way through you enter in to a magical beer garden with giant jenga and cornhole! There's plenty of seats and its dog friendly too, which I love. The only drawback being its terrible service or poor planning of that. The only bar tender working was Kyle and there was probably 15 at the bar. We sat down and waited 15 mins for him to walk down to give us a menu. The guys next to us were excited that he finally notice us because they wanted refills of there drinks too. We were told at the bar that half the beers on the second page of the menu they didn't have and the same with the food, "the menu needs to be updated". The waitress who also was all by herself was very on top of it and made her rows frequently when we were out in the beer garden. Over all it was a win, we'll be going back with our pup. read more

I really enjoy coming here, the beer selection is wonderful! Lots to choose from! Also love the location in proximity to the Pirates spring training field. Best of all we enjoy the outside with tons of seating and games to play! What a fun place to enjoy some beer! They don't have a kitchen but I have ordered food from their selection of menus from local restaurants and the food came surprisingly very fast! read more

Huge outdoor space to hang out, tons of corn hole games and a live music stage. The beers are great and there are always 2-3 food trucks parked outside. Best of all, you can order from them through your server! They will bring your order right over to you and add it to the tab. There's usually open parking spaces and if not or during special events it's $3 valet, can't beat that. Dog friendly!! read more

The brewery has a cool vibe. I'm sure the beer is good but the customer service was horrible. The server couldn't take our beer order even though he was at our table because he "had three other tables". Sorry, dude, that's your job. Last time we were there we sat at a table inside and waited for service no service came so we said ok maybe if we go outside well get service. Nope still nothing about 15 min later someone finally came but this was after we were there for 30 min already. Then we tried to proceed to order from the kitchen and order a drink then were told that the kitchen just closed and could not order food after we were there 30 min prior. So we just got up and left and will not be going back. The only positive of the night was being with friends a Waffle House. Instead of spending money drinking and playing darts. The woman manager seemed like she really didn't care and it was our fault for not going to the bar for service. Hate to say it but you lost 4 customers that night. read more

This is hands down the coolest place to go to in Bradenton! I will admit I was a bit thrown off by where my friends were taking me when we pulled into the parking lot. But after stepping into the building I felt like I was no longer in Bradenton but in a swanky bar. It has a feeling of laid back and cool at the same time. You walk in and the popcorn machine is there for anyone to help themselves. The bar is a great place to hang out. The inside seating is very modern and yet retro. You can play pool inside or some games outside if you want. Outside is a big beautiful tree with a wooden patio around it that has seating for groups, a few friends, or couples. There is also an area for corn hole. You can also play put put out there. Sometimes they project movies into the side of the building. They do not serve food here. But they have food trucks park out back and you ca. Help yourself. Overall this place is amazing! I love it. Oh yeah- you should go! read more

Stopped by Motorworks on our day trip to Bradenton and as always we were not disappointed! Their beer choices are excellent and the food, cheesesteak sandwich, was awesome! The bartender once again was very friendly and helpful! We brought my cousin here who loves craft beers. The place was dead on a Sunday night at 7pm and the food trucks had all been sent home for the night. Our "waiter" seemed more interested in chatting up his female guest sitting at another table while my cousin and boyfriend we're in need of something at our table. The decor and cleanliness were great. We will return again on another day or night and give it another shot in hopes that next time it will be great. read more

My first experience here with friends. We were treated amazingly fantastic! The staff was knowledgable and friendly, shared some interesting facts with their beers. They also host a paint night on certain Wednesday's of the month. The out door patio was beautiful and so comfortable. Large screen for TV or movies, live music, and corn hole. The service was lacking for sure and at one point I felt like it was on purpose being that there was no other color in the entire place! A bit pricey! Actually very pricey! But we paid $20 per person to see a comedy show and couldn't hear anything, comedians were subpar and management was oblivious that the whole crowd couldn't hear anything. As a home brewer myself, I can vouch favorably for the offerings presented at Motorworks. I took a walking tour when they first opened and was really impressed with the passion the "Engineer" owner displayed when discussing the building modifications and brewing mash and lauter tuns, fermenters, etc. that he was responsible for. A discussion about what was involved in getting Bradenton's water suitable for brewing was spot on. The offerings are quite worth sampling with a flight on your first visit. I've since been back with out of town friends who appreciate well crafted ales and lagers. read more

If I could give 10 stars to the brewery interior and exterior I would. The beer itself is 4 star worthy, and sadly, the price is more like 2 star worthy. Stopped by on a trip to Anna Maria Island for some beers and was blown away by the brewery. The main room is massive with lots of space at the bar and a bunch of different style tables and couches. The whole place has a really modern industrial feel with dimmed light, exposed ac and cement flooring. We sat at the bar and ordered a flight.The nitro is great and was my favorite of the night. Everything we tasted was at least decent with the worst being the kolsch. Tried the Amber, the IBA, the Enduro, and the IPA with the Motorworks IBA being the second best of the lot. Motorworks does have food, but we ate beforehand. Though it's a small detail, the beer is overpriced. MW is putting out some good stuff, but even Cigar City doesn't have the audacity to charge over $5 for a pint of its own brew (neither does 3 Floyds which is a WAY bigger name in craft beer). So the pricing is kind of insulting, and as a new brewery, $4 pints would have gone a long way toward making me visit more often. Motorworks redeems itself mostly with its outdoor space. The beer garden is MASSIVE. A huge, lit tree anchors the center with lots of tables on a wooden deck above an artificial turf area with a huge setup of games. This area is perfect for some beers on a Florida night, and you could easily fit a large group outside. (Worth noting, we were there til around 10pm on a Saturday, and the place was pretty dead. I don't live in Bradenton, so I'm not sure if this was normal or not.) I liked this place, and I wanted to really love it. The pricing left kind of a bad taste in my mouth, and beyond the nitro, nothing MW is brewing yet is world class (tons of potential though). The guest draft list is extensive, but unsurprisingly, the pricing on those is ridiculous as well. This place is definitely worth a try though for the atmosphere it has managed to build. Random note: Everything is really nice, new and stylish with the exception being the hand dryers in the bathrooms. Literally, the worst things I've ever encountered. Not sure why, but I found this hysterical. read more

Three stars for the cool beer garden, but food was horrible (cold & tasteless), service was slow & disorganized. Drinks came out at different times - refills had to be ordered 2 & 3 times! We ordered a pizza (yuck), Blue Cheese Chips (meh) and calamari (served in a tin to-go box on lettuce which made it soggy!) and although we ordered it all at the same time, it all came out separately. We made our own fun with the games & music, but this place could be exceptional if they figure out the food & get their servers some basic training !
