We sampled them all, and every pint told a different story. One crashed over you like a salty Gulf Coast wave, bold and full of energy. Another unfolded like a peaceful walk through a pine forest, layered with earthy bitterness and just the right touch of sweetness. No two tasted alike, and that's exactly what made the experience so much fun. The biggest surprise? Every IPA was memorable. We expected good. We found outstanding. Meeting the brewmaster was the icing on the cake. Learning he's a fellow Stone Brewing fan made for a great conversation, and you can taste the passion and creativity in every glass. We traveled to Siesta Key for 5 nights, and ended up and Calusa 2 of those 5 nights. The beer is top notch (I love a boozy IPA), and Pigfish (the attached restaurant) has incredible fresh food. I had the Caesar salad with Cobia both times, and quite frankly that salad is living rent free in my head. All this is to say GO TO CALUSA!
