Cool place with great service. Came in for Friday #nofilter show and it was hopping and popping. We were able to sit immediately. We've given Motorworks multiple chances because the outdoor ambiance and live music are genuinely great--but the rest of the experience continues to fall short. The drink list has gotten noticeably smaller over time and is pretty underwhelming. Beer options are limited, and they're often out of multiple selections, which gets frustrating. Even when available, the beers and cocktails are just okay--nothing that really stands out or makes you want to come back specifically for the drinks. Not having a full kitchen is another downside. The food truck works if you need something quick, but it feels overpriced for the quality and doesn't elevate the overall experience. The staff has always been friendly and upbeat, which we appreciate. There is also a manager/owner presence that can come across a bit cocky at times, but that's not the main issue here. The bigger frustration is that this place has so much potential--it has the space, the vibe, and the crowd. It could easily be a standout spot if there were more attention put into expanding the drink selection, improving quality, and creating a more well-rounded food experience. This is our 2nd visit to this location. We were in town to do a 5k and the restaurants were all packed with holiday parties so we went a little further from our hotel to eat and drink where we knew the food was good. I absolutely love the creamy feta and hot honey appetizer! The smashburger and fries with a lager made my husband very happy. My son liked the ravioli, although it was more of a vodka sauce than a bolognese. I had the Cinzia pizza sandwich which was far too much food so I only ate the insides and a little crust. When traffic was stopped, we couldn't move. Low and behold we were right in front of Motorworks. Just had to go in to let traffic lighten up. Glad we did. Very wide selection of beer. Being a Monday, just walked right up to the bar, no waiting and got a very good Scottish Ale. Nice afternoon and headed out to the beer garden. It's very big and relaxing with a HUGE tree as the centerpiece. Very cool and a great way to unwind from the traffic jam. This brewery serves food from a food truck, parked on-site, served in styrofoam containers. We came on a Thursday night where the loud music and cornhole league made for a terrible time. The beer was not that great and was served room temp without too much carbonation. Our server was great, but that is the only positive takeaway. If mediocrity is your jam, feel free to check it out, but you can probably make better food at home, and drink better beer. The no-see-ems bit our feet while we were seated outside in shorts and sandals. We will not be back. Very disappointing. read more

I will start by saying that we generally greatly enjoy Motorworks. It's a very good venue for live music. Tonight 01/23/26 they had a band listed we usually go to see. It was on the website and nothing about it being a private party. We go and there are signs about the beer garden being closed for the private party. It sure would have been nice if we would have known we couldn't get in before we wasted our time going. Maybe next time it's a private party you put it on your site. read more

So I attended a friend's going away party here on a Saturday night. We immediately were faced with attitudes and problems from the staff. First, our friend who scheduled the event was promised a certain amount of tables, but then when arriving, they had given that section to another party and basically said deal with it . The waitresses were extremely rude condescending. Our party had around 70 people there and it started to rain so we were all just gathered underneath a tent with holes in it. Just to hold that section for the night cost our friends $175. And to make matters worse now that party area shrunk that wasn't part of the deal so Motorworks broke the agreement as far as I'm concerned. So I encouraged everyone to just come to my house. We ordered food from Michelangelo's and motor Works just lost 70 people in one night because of horrible customer service so that's what we did we all left. read more

Let's start with the beer. I had a flight... ranging from light to hoppy to dark. Nothing memorable. At all. And that is horrible for a microbrewery imho. All of them felt lazy... including adding citrus to almost all of the lighter beers. I get it... you are a Florida brewery. The food. Oh man. I had a burger and onion rings. Mind you, I was sitting at the bar with a flight of beers. My food comes out in a to-go box. A little weird. The burger, and I kid you not, was worse than fast food. And the onion rings... were most likely from a bag in the freezer that's been there too long. I would not suggest ordering any food. At all. Lastly, the atmosphere. Very tired and boring. Not to mention a sticky bar and menus. First time here. Not going back and would not recommend. read more

Motorworks Brewing in Bradenton is our favorite place to go and we are there at least once/week. Jody the bingo lady is so much fun, and Patrick is a great bartender. Whenever we have out-of-town guests, we always bring them to Motorworks. Saturday, 2/21/26 we had reservations for 6:15pm and brought our Kansas City guests with us to Motorworks. We arrived and were immediately escorted to our table. It was 45 minutes before we received our drink order. When our drinks arrived, we ordered two appetizers. An hour later (we are now 1hr 45 minutes into our visit and still have only received one drink), we flagged down our server and asked him where our food is. He went to the food truck and came back to say "they are really backed up tonight" so we cancelled our food order. There were many, many tables empty so it was not overcrowded. We paid for our one drink each ($46.22) and left. This morning I looked on my American Express account and see that there are two charges: $46.22 and $17.12. Hmmmmm....I wonder why we were charged for food we waited for and never received so we cancelled??? read more

Our party at five decided to meet at motor Works last night. We like the venue andit's close to where we all live. Service has always been very poor, but we enjoy the atmosphere sitting outside. We learned yesterday that the establishment is under new management, but we didn't think it was possible that the service could be worse than previously experienced. Last night was horrendous. It took over an hour to have a waiter come to our table, even after flagging one down and having them tell us that they would be over shortly. We ended up having one drink, and after the waiter didn't return to take our order, we decided we would leave and not come back again. It's really too bad because there is a lot going for this brewery. I personally counted three weight staff for the entire complex and roughly 100 , possibly 200 customers which may have been in attendance. One of our party asked to speak to the manager, and we were told by the that the manager said he would not be available. ...Enough said. read more

We had tried Motor Works brewing in Orlando and because we are going to be in Bradenton the next day. Decided that we needed to stop by the original. Located just a few blocks down from Lecom Park. This location is almost double the size of the Orlando location. They have a huge outside seating area that has lights amongst other things and it's just a really cool place to hang out. They do offer food, but it is all done through a food truck. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla and found that it was more cheese than it was chicken. I opted for the California turkey wrap. I appreciated how thick cut the turkey was, but overall found that it lacked seasoning and flavor. I opted for french fries as my side and they were cooked perfectly. As far as the beers, you have very much the same selection that you'll find at the Orlando location, but this location does have beers that are specific to them. I opted for the Datil which is a chocolate and pepper Porter. If you like spice in your drinks, this is definitely the beer for you. my husband opted for the adoptable, which is their lager that is mild and crisp in flavor. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and definitely plan to return when we are back in town for a spring training game. They do have a parking lot that is connected to the building, but it tends to be valet only for game days. What we did notice was that many people who went to the game came down and parked in their lot and then walked down to the game and came in afterwards. I want to love this place, but after multiple visits hoping the problems were just temporary, after today's visit I have to say I'm unlikely to return. ...First, the good... Spectacular outdoor space. Room for groups. Beautiful moss-draped oak in the center of the deck area is wound with lights and is stunning day or night. Bandshell with live music is backed with big beautiful trees too. Food service is available from a varying slate of on site food trucks, which makes for a fairly broad menu. Great beer. For dark beer lovers like my wife it can be hard to find porter and stout options in Central FL year round and Motorwerks always has at least a few excellent dark choices on tap. Dog friendly. ...The bad... Weekend daytime parking is $5. Valet was a mess today but we parked in the paid gravel lot across the street. Busy road out front makes arrival and departure more interesting than I'd like. Food truck food quality is highly variable. Today's bacon cheese burgers came with barely cooked bacon and a two questionable quality small star shaped mass produced burger patties that may or may not have been all beef. Texture reminded me of the burgers they served in school that were cut with soy protien. Definitely not a $15 burger. ... The ugly ... Service inside is consistently slow, harried, and significantly understaffed. Servers are generally as friendly as they can be but on all of our visits it has taken a long time to get even acknowledged. Today it was close to 20 min after sitting to place a beer order and another 15 to actually get it. Suspect the server had to go in and pull drinks herself. Owner was wandering around holding her dog and chit-chatting when she should have been helping. They finally pulled one parking attendant in (after the rush when it was too late to help) to bus some tables. Gotta get that $5. Just terrible front of house management. Beautiful place I want to love but can't get past the incompetence. Good bye Motorwerks. I'll buy your beer when I can find it elsewhere. Nice eating areas inside and out. They order from local restaurants and have the food delivered to the brewery. There was a dog friendly event going on when we went and there were lots of dogs people brought in. This event was for some sort of fundraiser for animals.
