Horrible Merchant. They continue to post items with substantially low prices, and then when you go to purchase the item, it's a complete BAIT AND SWITCH to a much higher price. COMPLETE CLICK BAIT. This Company and site is a scam. Shame on me, I should have seen it from the beginning. Buried in their policies it states they can change the price of an order whenever they want, even after your credit card has been charged. And guess what, that's exactly what they did. After 3 days of my order status not changing, a representative contacted me to state that my order would now cost an additional $378! Incredibly dishonest business practices. I bought a wheel nut socket tool ($70) for changing out tires on my V4S. Less than hour later realized I already had the part in my garage. Called to cancel, left voicemail, and two emails to cancel. No response. They ship out next day and are very difficult with returns. They will lose a customer over $70. I probably spend $5k per year on bike maintenance. Short sighted company won't survive. Website shows 1-2 weeks lead time. One MONTH, several attempted phone calls, emails and I still don't have the parts. So today, after all the effort on my part to get ahold of them, I'm to get stuffed and wait MAYBE another couple weeks. That's SIX TIMES longer than originally stated and they're like "yeah, tough." I point out, "hey maybe you could improve your communication strategy" This company provides no updates that "hey this will be delayed." Your order status page will just sit there forever - and no news is apparently very bad news. This company makes it nearly impossible to get ahold of - they don't even empty their voicemail boxes so you can't leave a message. They will not return emails to info@ .. so don't even bother. It's been a month and still haven't gotten any shipping info. One of the guys sent me their whole shipping info of parts shipping from manufacturers telling me my rearsets are on the way. Then when I asked for confirmation, he said they just arrived an hour ago. I emailed same day asking when is the ETA of shipping from Motowheels since they're arrived from manufacturer. That was on a Thursday. Emailed Friday asking same, as well as Monday. The same Monday, I was fed up because I emailed within store hours and literally in the same state. No response. I called for the order to be cancelled and the same guy who's been emailing me saying he'll send a confirmation email. Still waiting on that confirmation email too. HORRIBLE. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND MONEY. Only reason why there's two stars is because Stephano replied to me a couple of times so I guess their customer service is somewhat functional. I get that things happen with COVID, but I never really gotten answers until I bugged the hell out of them. One thing I always respect people for is if they don't know the answrler to something, they ask someone who does k ow instead of making stuff up. Originally had to special order the wheels, then magically they had some come in unexpectedly and were shipped roght away. These guys are extremely knowledgable, and always polite and professional. I am a customer service SNOB! I originally started off with just a few small orders and received quality treatment, fast shipping and fair prices. Motowheels was just another online shopping venue for me. That changed when I recently laid down my bike (technically vice-versa) and ended up needing a few parts that I began sourcing from various sites on the web. I was NOT in a good mood; the tedium of the search, the cost of parts, the damaged bike, my sore ass, along with my damaged ego was just part of the state of maddening horror topped with the anger of a spouse. Needless to say, Motowheels saved my day! Ryan and Stephano gave me their time, answered my questions thoroughly. I have not become super knowledgeable over the years, I have merely enjoyed the ride. I called and asked plenty of stupid questions and got off the phone more educated and less frustrated. The experience left me inspired that my rebuilt bike would be better than one that came out of the showroom. I wish I would have sourced all of my parts from these guys. Extremely pissed that i ordered some frame sliders on november 29th 2018 so i would have them well before Christmas for my brother. I got a email confirming my payment and that the order was being processed. I NEVER heard another thing from them. Now fast forward. I called on December 12th. Only to be told parts are on backorder with no news of when they will be available. But i should have them within a week. The manufacturer was having a issue. (Ok no prob) Fast forward again. I called December 19th spoke with a gentleman who had NO idea on how to help me or get me answers cause the gentleman who handles that manufacturer was gone at the moment and he would have him call me back. Waited all day and no call. So now December 20th i wrote an email and got a bullshit response back. Here is the response: Hello Michael, We are very well aware of the situation and your back ordered part. You had spoken with Ryan last week in this regard and he had mentioned that it was on back order from Ducabike. We usually receive our Ducabike parts from Italy on weekly basis, however this part was not ready yet to be shipped from them and we just finally received a confirmation email today about them being shipped. Your phone number which you used in the order does not work and you may try dialing that number from another phone yourself for that matter, so you can hear how the dial tone acts and switches to a loud  noise after that. At least that is the phone number which you had used in your order which is not working. Two days ago, we were contacted by a lady asking about your order and we did not have an answer for it as Ducabike had not yet notified us about that, yet we tried calling you and just like today, the phone was not working. There is so much control that we can have over what is expected for the manufacture to do and cannot possibly materialize what we can't get. In any case, the parts have already been shipped and we will receive them by either the Thursday or Friday. Happy Holidays. Best regards, Motowheels Needless to say. I checked my call log. I don't underdstand where all these reviews about "Fast shipping" are coming from... I placed my order May 11th, 2020 and have still not recieved the order or even gotten a confirmation tracking number for my product. I ordered BST wheels. Stephano has been responding to my emails through the delayed process putting the blame on Covid. When i placed my order it said 5-8 weeks. I followed up by week 8 and was told the wheels should be done Aug 6th now. I followed up Aug 10th and asked for a tracking number or cancel my order. There's many other places i can order wheels from and get much sooner. I was told i could not get my money back and still have no product or even a tracking number for they should have been shipped by now. I ordered a clutch slave cylinder rebuild kit, bleeder and brake fluid. The Brake fluid showed up but nothing else was in the package. After waiting for the remainder of my order to show up I called Motowheels. I was told that it was not possible that they made a mistake and that they would send me a picture of the goods in the box that was shipped. I never received that picture, (which I am sure does not exist because I did not receive the parts) and now I have been getting the run around and waiting for days without them getting back to me or sending the missing parts from my order. I can think of maybe more than a few places that will jerk you around less than these guys. What's more is that the places coming to mind re: the jerking around are located in Jersey. Ordered a gasket. It never arrived. Checked the tracking number it showed there was insufficient address. Not sure what was insufficient about the address on my end though. I checked my purchase confirmation email and my tracking confirmation email which had the correct address on it. The package was en route back to them in Rancho Cordova, CA - not but a days shipping away from the shop I run - and my customer's bike was open on the lift. Basically and unreliable shipping situation. Instead of get me the part I needed they told me to buy another gasket and that they would give me a credit. Left out in the water. Absolutely no responsibility taken on their part. They didn't even try and make the situation better by just putting another gasket in the mail. The whole reason it was being sent back is obviously due to the fact that someone incorrectly labeled the package, or that their ink jet MS paint quality printer was low on toner. Bunch a hacks these guys. Couple that with the fact that the schlubs on the phone they know maybe less than an apprentice does about Ducatis, it was pretty awful the handful of interactions with these people. read more

The first time I heard about this store was when my friend told me he bought some HID lights for his Ducati and that they had a large selection of Dainese racing suits. I was convinced so I order a racing suit online because they had free shipping and no tax on their Dainese racing suits. I got the package in a week and was surprised with the fast shipping but the suit didn't fit. Since I was in the area, I went there to exchange the racing suit for another suit that was more my style. They were more then accommodating to get me the right style and size to fit my riding style. I will definitely be back to get some more gear and they have free shipping on most of their Dainese brand gear. They made a faithful customer out of me for life. I needed some thing for my Hyper and my 996s. well this is the place for those special or detailed parts you may want. the staff there (Mike & Matt ) who helped me were very patient and helpful in completing and making sure my order was correct. I bought a fuel sending unit nut, Afam quick change and some M6x50 bolts. These guys knowq there stuff. In closing this company gets the 5th star for offering VIP discounts for military and veterans in the armed forces. These guys know their stuff! I am a new rider and wanted to add a new exhaust to my bike but learned you needed to have the ECU reflashed to get any performance gains. Called up Motowheels expecting to get short answers to my questions that I would have to google later on to understand, but the tech (Matt?) was ridiculously helpful and walked me through the choices I had and what I should do. Didn't try to upsell me on anything, was super honest, and was a huge help. This shop gets orders from all over the country (looked them up online and found positive reviews on Ducati forums from all over the US) and they did an amazing job reflashing my ECU. Have already recommended them to riders I meet on weekends and they have all had a similar experience with the Motowheels crew and have thanked me. Would definitely use them again. read more

I am a big fan of Dainese gear, thankfully, because they are one of the only brands of motorcycle gear which make stuff to fit my 5'6", 140 pound frame. When I found out there was a little shop in Rancho Cordova which stocked Dainese, I checked it out and was happily surprised their inventory size exceeded my expectations. They have a large variety of styles and have pretty low prices. I was surprised to see their prices were lower than the uniform-online pricing you see for a lot of big name brands which was great as well. They did not have a lot of stuff in a euro 36 (and none in euro 34), but said they would order an item if I needed. The staff are helpful without being intrusive. The shop is tucked away so if you stroll in it's likely you'll be the only shopper. In environments like that it's important you don't feel awkward as you walk around looking at stuff and hearing your footsteps on the floor, and the staff are good at showing you what's available in your size and then leaving you to wander around and fawn over the silky smooth leathers and such. I walked out with a summer mesh (on sale for 150), but will probably return it for something with more protection (and a snugger fit). I do not ride a Ducati but there are tons of really cool bikes and parts in the shop worth checking out just to check out. read more

After waiting a over a month, numerous emails/phones calls on my order (parts I ordered. Brake lines,remote brake adjuster, brake fluid)and not receiving it. I finally asked what was going on. They tell me they need a measurement to complete my brake lines. A bit dumbfounded that they would not contact me asking me this after a month, I say, ok, ill put my front end back on and try to get a measurement. After saying that, I ask if they will ship my other parts. The response I got was no. They didnt want to ship me things twice. Again, dumbfounded. A few days later, they ship me my remaining parts. COOL!...NO, not cool. Wrong color of anodizing, I ask why I got gold instead of black, The response I got was, I didnt think you wanted to wait anymore and we are out of stock in black? WHAT? seriously? So after 3 months, And calling every other day to try and get a update on my brake lines and getting the same response of Ill pass the message on to nick, I still do not have them, after being told a month ago they would be shipped on a monday. The only good they have done in this situation is refund me for the cost of re anodizing and Nick actually got the measurements for the brake lines off a bike they are building similar to mine, Other than that, nothing, no returned calls, way delayed email responses and the last one I got was a 4 word email saying, ETA monday from Galfler. Customer service has gone down hill in a hurry, buy from someone else! This place use to be great, I ordered a lot from them. After this, no more. These guys seem shady to me. I tried very hard to buy a black 2006 Ducati Sport 1000 they had for sale. Actually I had bid on this bike on eBay but a day before the end of the auction (and after the $10,000 reserve price was met) Motowheels pulled the auction and cancelled my bid. I asked them why they cancelled my bid and they told me the bike had been sold locally for the asking price. Being local in Sacramento I went in to their store in Rancho Cordova and spoke with both the Motowheels owner Martin and someone named Matt. The bike was still there. Martin and Matt told me two completely different stories and it turned out the bike had not been sold like they'd said it had on eBay. But after seeing the bike up close and meeting Martin and Matt I was less than impressed. The bike was grimy, with some oil leaks, exhaust leaks, worn tires, corroded headlight, loose parts, pieces of gasket seal on the crankcase, etc. Martin did not seem at all motivated to sell the bike. He claimed it had been put on eBay without his knowledge. And even though he owned the bike he could answer none of my questions about the its condition or history. He said he had no maintenance history or any information on it other than it came from out of state. I asked for a test ride but was refused. I had concerns about the gearbox so I asked to at least be able to drain and inspect the engine oil but Martin claimed he didn't know where his oil pan was and to come back next week and Matt would do it. So against my better judgement I came back. When I did come back, on now my third visit to attempt to buy this motorcycle, Matt said he was too busy to drain the oil and I'd have to come back again. I was left with the distinct impression that they did not want to sell this bike locally because it has some kind of problem that would come back on them (something Martin had actually alluded to earlier). It was clear that I would have to pass on this motorcycle and I told Matt why. As I left he yelled that I'd see it sell for $17,000 on eBay. I doubt it. So buyer beware of Motowheels. And BTW, the 5 star Yelp review by Matt W. on here is by Matt Walker the Motowheels employee I dealt with. read more
