Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with a Piccolo
    David S.

When i arrive to Sydney, this is my go to place for bfast sometimes lunch. The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict was perfect. I'm not a big eater but this was only a 1/2 portion. Others love his big bfast with lots of bfast meats & scrambled eggs. Have it with a local fav, piccolo. it's a shot of espresso with warm milk. Delicious and a friendly staff. Lots of locals wait in line here and Ron Danieli (owner) remember locals names. Thanks Ron.

Danieli is true gem, perfectly located near Circular Quay in a small shopping center. The restaurant features a nice outdoor dining area allowing for great people watching. The coffee and breakfast were fantastic and kept us coming back for more all three days we visited Sydney. Ron is great and made us feel like family each time we visited. Eggs bennie was a star of the menu as well as the French toast & burritos. Great prices and friendly service - you can't go wrong at Danieli.

Danieli's breakfast and coffee were delicious! My husband, father in law, and I all ordered different things and we loved everything. The owner was very friendly and he made it a great experience.

The owner Ronny is an authentic Italian with a love and passion for coffee, so much so he has his own coffee brand which is sold on premise as well as David Jones. You can tell he loves his coffee as he welcomes and chats to all his customers about coffee whilst skilfully working the coffee machine and artistically but delicately adds the finishing touches to your coffee. A great cuppa here, the only fault I would highlight was the temperature of my coffee but I admit I do like it hot which I could've probably mentioned, all in all a very precise taste with no bitter aftertaste.

I walked into the old rundown Clock Tower building and stopped to take a photo of the shop front as this place didn't have any photos on Yelp yet. Ron saw me and looked up from his machine and waved. And that's how I was introduced to this amazing coffee shop in the Rocks. I explained I was doing research to determine who would get my vote for the Aroma Cup. He asked what I knew about the shop: they use their own beans, they have a second location on Cumberland. That's it. Ron's been there 8 years, he tells me. They supply various supermarkets (I think I heard Salts Meats Cheese mentioned - Ron and I have different definitions of a "supermarket") and they make their own Nespresso compatible pods. Ron proudly opened up the packaging on one of the individually wrapped capsules- it smelled divine. He pointed to a wall with all of his awards and apologized that his display case was a bit bare "normally it would be filled with Italian baked goods". The blackboard boasts a menu of various breakfast wraps and sandwiches and lunchtime burgers. He turned to make my long black and asked a bit about me. I left with a booklet on the Aroma Fest, a big smile, and most of all, an amazing coffee. Thanks, Ron!

Just inside the clock centre, a great find for our family breakfast.

For Starters, I got the Ora King Smoked Salmon Pate. For my Mains, I got Primavera Ravioli. For dessert, I got the Jamie's Black Forest Panna Cotta. Everything was soooo good! The ambiance was chic & cute, and the server was great! I honestly felt like I was back in the US for some reason!

My second and most recent visit helped extinguish that memory. Our waitress was very lively and sweet. She gave us plenty of time to look over our menus and made solid recommendations. I ordered the Spaghetti Alla Norma and it was pretty tasty. I also sampled some of the polenta chips which were surprisingly good. We opted to get dessert elsewhere but overall the food was pretty good. I'd like this place more if the prices were a little lower and they had more basic pastas available. I'm not a fan of seafood or mushrooms and can't handle spicy so I felt a little limited...although the pumpkin ravioli was tempting. Next time!

On Macquarie Street next door to the Land & Environment Court and across the road from the NSW Parliament. When you get to the Macquarie Street entrance walk down the stairs. You will be greeted by a friendly maître d and a similar layout to its Italian brother on Bridge Street. There is a bar and restaurant (Café Sopra) which offers delicious meals made with fresh ingredients. No fresh produce available at this Fratelli's. The restaurant was buzzing with suits. Which was to be expected due to its central business location! Loved the green chesterfield style seating and dim lighting. The service was great with our waiter being very attentive even with the a full restaurant. Could not fault our visit. Will be coming back here again and again.

To start we got the zucchini fritters, burrata, and the cold meats plate. All very tasty. Then for mains i got the pork sausage pizza - i thought it was ok, hardly much pork on the pizza. I got to sample a few other pastas such as the lamb raguy and the polenta with mushrooms and gorgonzola - the polenta was very good! Lots of sauce and went really well with the polenta. For wine we tried the fratelli fresh pino grigio and it had more of a sharp after taste. Overall, I thought the food was good, I enjoyed all the entree's and the other mains except mine.

The iced mocha was good but the iced strawberry matcha was flawless. The strawberries were so fresh and the matcha was just perfect itself. Great combo together! My husband had the free range eggs on toast and I had the eggs Benedict. His was delicious but the eggs Benedict was amazing. The crispy kale really sold me as it was delectable in each bite. For a larger party, coming in with a reservation was convenient since they are pretty busy and change tables often. Service staff were efficient and very friendly. Ordering was easy as well. Their seasonal specials is definitely worth the look over. I had the peanut butter shake and although it didn't look it, it tasted very much like peanut butter in liquid form. I also got to try the summer breeze watermelon salad. That was refreshing. It had a mix of greens, dressing, feta and a crisp prosciutto. I've never had prosciutto served fried; it was delicious. The whole piece married well, and I wish I knew the background of how it was created. I loved every bite! Although the place was crowded, it can still be intimate. Besides indoor seating, they also have a patio and seating outside.
