We evaluated around 6-7 companies, and off the recommendation of a neighbor we had Letts come out. I was a bit hesitant because you are charged for a minimum of an hour, there is no free estimate. However, in that time he shored up a leak with a temporary patch and had an estimate of how much work it would be to take care of everything, which ended up being much more reasonable than some other places we evaluated. Adam came back when he had enough open schedule to fix everything and some parts were shipped in. An incredibly nice guy, and just an incredibly fair and integrity oriented operation. All the vendors I evaluated were five stars with many reviews, but Letts was the only one that didn't feel like I was being upsold and he was just out there to help me solve my problems. Honestly can't wait to hire them again, which is an absurd thing to say about a plumber, but man what a great experience. I will rave about them to anyone who will listen.

We were replacing a gas water heater with a hybrid electric heat pump water heater. Generally, this…read moretype of heater costs twice as much (price and installation) as a traditional electric water heater, but costs a lot less to run (and therefore you recoup the additional cost in a few years from lower operating costs). I had a very easy experience getting an on-site quote. I received 3 quotes for this job. 2 quotes, including this one, came in around $7100. I went with a third one at around $6700 (which included an additional mixing valve) and am very happy with my decision. Overall price was not a big part of my decision, but brand of water heater was. After doing some research online, the most recommended brands are AO Smith and Rheem (GE). Both higher quotes were for Navien, which has only been making heat pump water heaters for 1 year, but I was told that it is the most reliable brand. I did not understand how this claim could be made, given how short the duration of evaluation for this product. Even the worst appliances usually work for at least a year. So I requested a quote for AO Smith or Rheem, which I did not get. I'm not sure why my brand request was not honored, but it made me question whether I should go with a company that either has communication issues or maybe some type of deal with Navien that I was not informed about. Many water heater installers are preferred installers of certain brands, which means they can get better pricing, etc. I did not want to be a guinea pig for Navien.

He quoted me without seeing the work and when it was a little more than he bargained for he stuck to his price. Not only that but he did a fantastic job replacing it making it the perfect height and cutting the pipe down so it would seal perfect. The second time I had him come out it was to help me install my bathtub. I couldn't take the old one anymore and honestly looked at a lot of options. I almost got it re-coated but I knew I wanted things done right. So I took out the old tub and drywall and bought a new tub. Now's when the fun started. I personally had no clue how to connect a tub. All I knew was that I'd have to get someone to do it for me. I bought the hardware and a couple guys I knew told me "oh yeah I can help you out man!" Famous last words. Word to the wise don't let anyone do you favors. All my "friends" wanted to cut corners and never showed up. So again I called Bob. He quoted me a fair price so I hired him. I was just blown away! He replaced all the plumbing from the main pipe up with new copper pipes (Not the cheap plastic everyone uses!) He even raised the height of the shower head for me. He even used 2x4 lumber to build a rest for the lip of the tub so it would drain in my unlevel house haha. To go one step further he even sealed the cracks between the wood under the tub and the gaps in the wall with some foam spray. To say he went above and beyond my expectations is an understatement. Then to top it off he said it was cheaper than he quoted. Bob is one heck of a guy. I'm going to use him on all my plumbing problems and recommend him to my friends and family for all of theirs!

Given that I didn't have to wait days for an appointment, I agreed to the price, which was initially high compared to others. That being said, it ultimately became roughly the same, if not a little cheaper, than other places that charged by the hour or quarter hour, as the job was a little more complex than initially thought. The guy spent almost 2.5 hours here to change out two bibs (again, way more complex than he probably thought), and he did a wonderful job. My problems were addressed same day, same visit. If I chose other plumbers, I would have waited days before my items were addressed. I've used Jazz before with my older AC unit, and they will always have a spot in my contact list if I need help with my HVAC or plumbing.
