It's very difficult if you don't know where to aim off the tee. Irritating actually. The terrific conditions, friendly staff and wonderful views made up for some of it. If you were a local, or played here regularly, it probably wouldn't be a problem, but for the casual traveler it could be quite disconcerting.

It's been a while since we played this course. We played the highlands. I loved it. I grew up in…read morethe bluffs along the Mississippi so it felt like home. The course was in good shape. Tee boxes and greens were well kept. I'm not sure if they even allow walking but the distance between holes is immense. We saw bunnies, deer, hawks, eagles, and a turkey. The forward tees were about 5000 yards which is a good distance. Loved the views of the river and bluffs from up high. A signature hole is #17 which is a par 3 that is about 130yds from the forward tees but plays like less than 100 yds because it's straight down. Fun.

The only drawback is that there is no driving range. Family owned and operated and they care about their customers having a good experience. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. They had decent alcohol selections and were making an effort to make the event special.
