I have to give it to this pla e being the only place open with food a Tuesday for us tourists. Much better option than urber eats, thank you Mount Pleasant! Plus the wine is delicious. Got one of the flatbreads and the feta appetizer. So good and you can't beat the views on the patio.

My friends and I started here for the first stop of our winery day. We headed straight to the wine tasting room, and we thought the wine tasting was such a great deal! For $10, you can taste any 4 Mount Pleasant wines. For an additional $5, you can take home your wine glass. An employee handed each of us a sheet with all of our options and told us to circle the four we wanted to try. I tend to gravitate towards sweeter white wines, but I ended up trying the Brut Imperial, Dry Vignoles, Pink Catawba, and 2013 Vintage. My favorite ended up being the Dry Vignoles, which is a dry white wine with pineapple, cream soda, banana cake, and peach jam aromas. The employee helping us was super friendly and personable. He truly made it such a fun experience for us! My boyfriend and I ended up buying a bottle of the Chambourcin to share, and even though I'm not typically a dry red fan, I actually loved this one! The bottle was $28. We were really hungry, so we decided to grab some food just a short walk down the sidewalk from the wine tasting room. My friend has a nut allergy, so she notified the employees just to be safe. The employees seemed like they hadn't dealt with this before. They were very kind, but I'm not sure this place is super allergy-friendly. We ended up ordering a margherita flatbread and Greek feta dip. Both were decent, but nothing spectacular. Presentation was great, however I personally think everything looked better than it tasted. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest. They had live music playing by the outdoor patio area. Such beautiful views with so many cute spots for taking pictures! We had a great time overall.

Mount Pleasant was our 2nd stop on winery day. We took the free trolley. Mount Pleasant had paper tasting menus for us to mark up and take home. So I have notes! Chardonel: "Worst wine" my friend ever has had. Dry vignoles: OK by me, but my friend didn't like it. Chambourcin: He "would actually buy that one." Pink Catawba: Rather floral. Good on first taste. Concord: My palate was corrupted by this point, but I've never met a Concord I disliked. Blackberry: My friend's favorite. "Tastes like juice." I thought it was yummy, too, but my palate was trashed, so I think I don't know what it tasted like. Then we went to the café for some palate-cleansing pizza (PCP).

This winery was a favorite on our bachelorette winery crawl this weekend! The multi tier patio, views and band were all amazing and the crowd was definitely fun. We ended up stopping by another popular spot and wished we had stayed longer here because the energy was fantastic. There are 2 primary entrances - first is the tasting room which can get pretty busy on a weekend and if you buy wine there, you have a bit of a hall back to the patio area. There's also a parking lot and ADA entrance that is right next to the patio/band set up. If you don't really care about the tasting, skip the tasting room, head to the back entrance, snag a table and order wine from the adjacent cafe. There is a single restroom inside the cafe and then restrooms in the building behind the band area. I'll also say that of all the places we stopped this was by far the most diverse crowd we encountered. I wasn't a fan of paying for water but it was only a dollar per bottle. Highly recommend!

The drive out to the winery might be considered a bit long for some but with the leaves starting to change colors it makes it so enjoyable. Since the Hoffmann's acquired a vast amount of the property in and around Augusta things are changing a bit for the better with business being added and some expansion on others. The winery has gone through a change and makes for a nice place to enjoy a fantastic view of the countryside, relax share a bottle of delicious local wines have a bite of food from Sugarfire (Thursday-Sunday) and listen to live music on the weekend.

Great location for live music and wine with a view! We visited on a Saturday and were able to find a table outside without waiting. They have a lot of outdoor tables and a gorgeous view. This would be a great place if looking for seating for a group of 6-8. The tasting was wonderful, all the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We especially enjoyed the reasonably priced port tasting. Flat bread pizza was good.

This is $12 spinach artichoke dip. This place is awful. Not sure u can call this food. Horrendous

This is $12 spinach artichoke dip. This place is awful. Not sure u can call this food. Horrendous and expensive at that. Hoffmann ruined these wineries ...it's just sad. What a cool area he completely ruined. I want to give zero stars.

Overpriced, slow service.. trying to hard to be upper class and failing. There are ao many other wineries in the area with much better wines and friendlier service that are way classier. Skip this one.

As far as view, entertainment, and atmosphere for a winery, Mount Pleasant is definitely one of the best wineries in Missouri! Now, as far as actual wine selection, that's a whole different story. My first experience with MPE was a few years ago when I and a few friends made the trip to come here and enjoy a day. We were quickly upset to learn in the tasting room that there were no sweet wines. Yes friends, that's what we were told. There were no sweet white wines. That abruptly ended our time at MPE. We headed to Balducci's and had a great time with great wine and great food. I hadn't been back since until Saturday. A couple of people and I who were a part of a bus trip to Augusta Winery, walked over to MPE after hearing how much better the music was there compared to Augusta. There was a 3-piece blues band playing, which was really good. There were a lot of people with dogs there so I guess there may have been some type of dog competition/bring-your-dog-day there. It was no big deal. The patio and view are expansive and beautiful. The complex is very large and features various historical and educational landmarks related to winemaking in the past and present. I liked that, in that it gave a different experience than just drinking, eating, and listening to music. There is a café here but I have never had the food there. I don't know if MPE has stepped their game up by offering sweet white wine or not, but if not then they're missing out on a large customer base.

    View from outside patio.

Took a friend here during the week for her 50th birthday and finding a place outside and social distancing is hard. Gorgeous views, friendly staff, and great wine. Call ahead to make sure the café is open. We had the place pretty much to ourselves! I would definitely recommend going here. You can't beat the views!!!

We had lunch outside. The food, wine and patio were all great. The only problem was all the bees buzzing around.

Food menu has great options from buffalo dip and sweet pickles which we ordered to pizza, salads , chips etc. Wine tastings are available in different oz choices, apparel and souvenirs available for purchase. Private parking. Plenty of seating outside with patio tables included as well. My only complaint was the sun exposure. Umbrellas were tied down due to wind per staff, stated it's a liability to have umbrellas up on windy days. I wish they had another option available for outdoor seating on those days , considering a band was playing but I left early due to being uncomfortable in the heat. I also really enjoyed the lemon and blueberry wine slushie along with the buffalo chicken dip and chips both were delicious. The only downside was the service experience. My food order took an unusually long time, and when I finally checked on it, the cashier had forgotten to put the order in. It was also a very hot day, and the patio umbrellas weren't opened because it was "breezy," which made sitting outside pretty uncomfortable in the heat. Overall, the views, music, and drinks made it a memorable stop, but better organization and a little more attention to guest comfort would've made the experience much better.

It was also pouring unexpectedly but that's no ones fault, obviously. The venue was clean but acoustics does make average conversation sound loud that I had trouble hearing the person next to me or the bartenders. I did the non reserve wine sampling which allotted 5 samples for $10. Many of which were made on property with Missouri wines and some west coast offerings. I tend to go for sweeter wines and found my selection to be quite palatable with two standouts as my favorite with the Schitts and Giggles and Lauren's Sweet Vignoles. I really would've preferred the tasting to be separate from the big room and more intimate as to learn more about the wine. Once poured, I was largely left alone standing at the bar where they only offer the sampling and so I felt a little awkward. One gentleman poured rather large portions while the other gave the appropriate amount. A water chaser would've been ideal between both to cleanse the palate. I do think a more intimate setting for sampling is preferred so I am not competing with the rest of the room and I am able to ask questions. The bartenders poured and left and you were on your own!

Our server was very helpful, especially with the wine choices since we were unfamiliar. All of us created our own wine flights. The pizza came highly recommended as well. For lunch we ordered the truffle fries, Smoked chicken wings, and Figgy Smalls pizza (with prosciutto only on half). The truffle fries were just ok. I honestly could not taste much of the truffle seasoning. We really enjoyed the Smoked chicken wings and the Figgy Smalls Pizza which I highly recommended. Our friends had the Vineyard mixed green salad with grilled shrimp and Pizza the Hut. They enjoyed their food as well. The only issue was the timing. The pizza did not come out at the same time as the other food. In fact it took quite a bit of time to get them. They were definitely worth it but it leaves part of your party eating so their food doesn't get cold while the others are waiting. We also enjoyed the live music while there. I look forward to trying more in the future.
