My friends and I visited here for the second stop of our winery day. We shared a sangria pitcher, and it was pretty good! The ladies working at the counter inside were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We didn't get anything to eat, but I noticed they have a fridge full of ingredients for sale to make your own charcuterie board, such as cheeses, meats, and crackers. I would love to try their wine flight next time I visit! We absolutely loved the beautiful covered patio area. The surrounding views aren't necessarily anything special, but the grapevines above definitely make up for it! There's plenty of seating options for small and large groups. We also enjoyed their live music. When we were ready to move onto our next stop, the trolley shuttle picked us up right outside the entrance of Augusta Winery.

We spent an hour browsing the adorable winery while waiting for the tour bus. It made an impact with all of us as soon as we walked in. The atmosphere was light and fun with many people at the bar or browsing. They appeared to have a nice selection of wine as far as an occasional wine drinker could tell. Service was wonderful and the staff were friendly, knowledge and professional. The interior has a rustic, comtempory vibe with a large u-shaped bar. The sample line was busy and the bar seats were almost full too. High top cocktail tables were scattered throughout. There is a refrigerated case filled with all types of cheeses and meats for a nice picnic or Charcuterie board at home. It's helpful having two entrances into the building. It cuts down on the congestion and it quickens the turnover. The side entrance opens up to a beautiful view of Mount Pleasant Estates. Everthing on the grounds is pristine including the stunning statues of a mare and colt. They have an excellent map of everything on the estate and the map is extremely legible. Today, they were set up for an outdoor wedding with a gorgeous view of the hillside. The white arbor and chairs were attractive even without guests against the green grass and the lovely landscaping with the sun starting to set. If you are touring winery's, add Augusta Winery to your list. They have several Winery in Augusta. Maybe plan to take the cruise of the Mississippi River before or after the cruise. Augusta is an adorable little, cozy town.

When we stay in Washington, Missouri, our winery hopping itinerary goes: (1) Montelle Winery, (2) Augusta Winery Tasting Room, (3) Noboleis Vineyards, (4) Balducci Vineyards and (5) Blumenhof Winery. With Augusta second in the line up. What we love about Augusta Winery Tasting Room is that it's a quick stop on our trail where we can do a tasting at the standing bar and be on our way. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We always leave with a couple of bottles in hand.

Last day of August? I guess ta write a review of Augusta! Wine not?! Had a stellar time learning more about the winery scene this past weekend when we visited this quaint tasting room in the heart of Augusta. Walking up to their front door we were overcome with the charm of this historic winery. The beautiful blue pickup truck parked outside was a nice touch. Had to snag a photo of that one! The selection of wines offered at Augusta Winery was so well curated, and the descriptions made each wine sound so delicious that it was hard to choose. Since we had just come from another winery, we decided that we were just going to imbibe in one full pour instead of the tasting option. The charming woman helping us decide on a which wine we would like was kind enough to let us know we should just buy a whole bottle instead of by the glass. Don't threaten me with a good time!! It was a generous suggestion that kept our budget in mind. The wine we selected was the traminette which was described as a fragrant white wine that finishes dry while boasting aromas of lychee, white peach, citrus and honeysuckle that will soar from your glass. The finish of Traminette is persistent and refreshing with a hint of spiciness. While I don't typically like white wine, this one really hit the spot on a hot summer day. It was crisp and refreshing without being too overly sweet. The side patio at Augusta Winery was so intimate. With vine covered walls, you were shaded from the sun and the traffic on the street. We loved listening to the musician who was keeping us entertained while we enjoyed our glass of wine. Augusta Winery provided an impeccable experience that added to a perfect day enjoying the best Missouri has to offer. Absolutely will be returning again soon to try more of their delectable wines.

Stopped by for a quick curbside pickup of their famously delicious Vignoles wine. My favorite. Pulled up, called it in, and on my way in under five minutes. There was not a soul in the place in the early afternoon and if I had not been in a hurry to get home I would've stopped in to shop in their tasting room. It's a fantastic little winery that's an Augusta favorite right on the corner with great parking and friendly service. Please visit or pickup their wine at Schnucks or Dierbergs and show this small business some love!

I've heard about the Hoffmanns taking over much of Augusta. This includes 2 of my favorite wineries, Augusta and Montelle (formerly owned by the same company). Went to check a few places out yesterday. Augusta was, last I recall, offering free tastings. Some wineries in the area charged and maybe they were too. Usually that was $5 for 5 wines or $10 for 5 and keep the glass. Now it is $15 for 4 wines. You get to keep the glass. Waste of resources (can you tell I'm a bit of a minimalist? Offer a $10 tasting and no keeping the glass and maybe I'll try.) The tasting room is small and there is no indoor seating, but you can walk to the Biergarten up the hill. They have a sign that says no outside food, which is a shame because their grab and go food section isn't impressive. They ought to clear out some of the wine gifts/souvenirs and expand that section. I think they're planning on adding a restaurant across the street soon. (I think outside food is still allowed outside, but don't quote me).

The wine is really good here but there are better wineries in the area than Augusta Winery IMO. I judge wineries based on variety of wine, view/atmosphere, food, entertainment, and prices. This Winery doesn't have the best view in town. There's actually no view here. This Winery consists of a few facilities all in a row on a hill. The tasting room is at the bottom of the hill. Then you'll come to a facility with restrooms. Then there's a small parking lot. Then there's the wine and beer garden. Then there's another facility with food, wines to buy, and more restrooms. It's odd. The wine garden is large with outdoor seating under a canopy of grapevines, and there's a fountain in the center. I came here on Saturday with a large group, and the entertainment was a steeldrummer. He sounded like a karaoke singer but was good with his instrument. The music sounded like elevator music, which we all agreed on. For food they have a few different thin crust pizzas to choose from, sausage, and cheese. Everything is kind of overpriced, but the pizzas are pretty large. I had a buffalo chicken pizza which has a lot of blue cheese on it. If that's not your thing, then you won't like it. The cost of a bottle of sweet (River Valley White) wine and 1 pizza was $27! The wine was really good though. Augusta Winery is close to several other wineries, so it's a nice stop for doing a day of winery-hopping, but I'd recommend not making this your "main event."

Cool place love the vine garden ! the wine tasted great! no plastic cups here! live music was a bonus !

Best winery in Augusta, hands down. They have a nice variety of dry wines, not only the sickening sweet wines that a lot of wineries in Augusta carry. Their outdoor area is great on the weekend which is partially covered with ample seating. Keep a look out for their live music which is always a great band that's entertaining. The best part? I believe they're the only winery in Augusta that allows you to bring in your own food. It's such a great environment here, where being able to bring in delicious cheeses and snacks is a huge plus. I've taken my parents here for every mother's and father's day the past 5 years for this very reason!

The wines are nice and affordable, the food is tasty, and the ambiance is charming. We stopped for lunch while we were biking the Katy Trail. We shared a bottle and enjoyed the Italian pizza, which hit the spot. The dining area is outdoors under a lovely pavilion. You don't have views necessarily, but it's a nice area under some greenery. Plus they had a love musician who was pretty good. Overall a fun stop in Augusta!

Food menu has great options from buffalo dip and sweet pickles which we ordered to pizza, salads , chips etc. Wine tastings are available in different oz choices, apparel and souvenirs available for purchase. Private parking. Plenty of seating outside with patio tables included as well. My only complaint was the sun exposure. Umbrellas were tied down due to wind per staff, stated it's a liability to have umbrellas up on windy days. I wish they had another option available for outdoor seating on those days , considering a band was playing but I left early due to being uncomfortable in the heat. This venue was very picturesque and views were amazing. Check website for pricing, menu, events, days and hours of operation.

I also really enjoyed the lemon and blueberry wine slushie along with the buffalo chicken dip and chips both were delicious. The only downside was the service experience. My food order took an unusually long time, and when I finally checked on it, the cashier had forgotten to put the order in. It was also a very hot day, and the patio umbrellas weren't opened because it was "breezy," which made sitting outside pretty uncomfortable in the heat. Overall, the views, music, and drinks made it a memorable stop, but better organization and a little more attention to guest comfort would've made the experience much better.
