The wife and I drove up to this Buckley drive-thru dairy stand in search of ice cream cones. The drive thru offers two lanes and they move relatively fast. Staff are friendly and their single swirls are large enough that I wish I had gotten a kids swirl lol. I recommend giving them a shot the next time you're in the area.

The. Best. Ever! The owners are incredibly kind and everyone who works there is super sweet! I'm in love with the shakes, the ice cream, the coffee, the milk, the eggnog. You name it! It's amazing. Personally obsessed with the espresso shake! The quality of their dairy is unparalleled. I am very sensitive to poor quality dairy, yet here I can have as much as I want with no issue. Always love supporting local businesses. My husband grew up here and we make a 5 hour drive from OR just for this place!

Glad they are finally open! We love their ice cream! I originally had the ice cream for myself, but the husband couldnt help himself and took a few bites off of mine. So he ordered himself a smoothshake twist, which is basically the ice cream cone, but in a drink. Its hard to describe, but if you could compare it to other ice creams, this is MUCH smoother and the taste is divine. We met the owner here and he was great to talk to. Gave some feedback, which felt genuine for him to listen to and discuss further. Parking right now is available around the shop and is limited. However, once they fully open it will be a drive thru with the parking still available. Do keep in mind it is very busy all hours they are open. People tend to sit here and hang out for a bit. There is seating available, but only about a few tables. Others like me decided to at least just stand around while we ate our ice creams. Although this review is based off of their soft opening, I cannot wait til they fully open so we can try out their other products!

My family stopped by here on our way home after a day of hiking by Carbon River and were obsessed with their soft serve. My mom and I ordered the kids cones in the twist and my dad ordered the espresso shake. The soft serve was so light and creamy and I loved the decadent flavour of the chocolate swirl and the sweet vanilla. I loved the homey, local vibe of the creamery. When my family was passing through town, I saw it through the window and knew in my heart it would have good soft serve so I made my mom turn around and I'm so glad she did. While we were standing there enjoying our soft serve a nice employee came over to speak to us and make sure we were enjoying our soft serve. He was really friendly and welcoming. He was also cleaning every single table and chair so we loved how clean the creamery was Despite being outdoors.

Workers are very friendly and quick service. I got the ice cream nachos because i saw a review on them and they were really good! if you are in town, i reccomend coming to this local buisness.

And they carry some hard to find items like Werners Orange Slices (eating them always reminds me of happy days in my youth). They usually have game and exotic meats, too: bison, kangaroo, python, goat, pheasant, etc. Excellent service! And I like supporting local merchants, especially when they do such a great job! The ambiance, from the meat cleaver front door handle to the long rows of glassed in cases and the hearty welcome when you step inside, is like the butcher shops my Dad used to go to 60 years ago. I love this place. I prefer the Puyallup store, but the Buckley store is great, too. Just doesn't seem to have quite the selection.

From the outside, the place doesn't look like much, but inside it's bright, tidy and warm. The person I encountered was really pleasant, chatted me up and offered me sample of all the items I inquired about. They had a serious selection of Jerky, pepperoni, smoked meats and fresh meats, not to mentions sauces, spice, etc. Personally, I don't like sweet meat. Too many places make jerky and add way too much sugar, molasses or honey. When I saw this place had Sugar free jerky, I knew I was in good hands. I tried the original and it was perfect, so much so, I didn't even bother with the sugar free, I'm sure it's good, but since I didn't detect any sugar in the original, I stuck with it and by the clerks testimony, there was very little sugar, so clearly it was not overwhelming. I also got the black pepper and the undisputed champ, Pioneer Jerky. When I saw that, I immediately had visions of covered wagons making their way from points eats in route to unsettled Buckley. Family's staking their claim and living off the fat of the land. Sure, that may be a bold take off a sample of jerky, but you get a taste and post your own tale of origin. The pepperoni was also flavorful, but I think I'm out of my pepperoni phase. I'm used to a dryer sausage with a case that snaps and no one does that anymore. I guess that has become the lanjager. They also had hot links and I have to say, the last few hotlinks I've bought have been terrible. They are more of a spicy hot dog than true flaming sausage. I flew to Oakalnd this summer just to ship sausage home because the place I found doesn't ship and those were the worst hotlinks I've ever had. I bought 4 different varieties and it all went in the trash once I tasted it. I'd give these links 10/10 on the heat scale. I have won heat based food challenges, so I'm no punk and the heat here was real. Most would tap out. The flavor wasn't bad, but it didn't taste like a Louisianan Hot Link. I'd go with Oberto over these. Oberto just has more of a sausage flavor where these are just hot minced meat. Some sage and sausage seasoning would go a long way to elevate these. Overall disappointed, but still giving the place 5/5 for service, selection and savoriness of most of what I tasted. It's rare to get this kind of service, quality and value. I wish this place was closer to Seattle, I would be a monthly shopper.

The panini did take some time (~20 minutes) to pick up but the mac and cheese was scooped right away. I tried both world's best Mac and cheese and the Smoked salmon one. The smoked salmon was an easy 5/5. I love the dill, green onions, and smoked salmon mixed in with their iconic flagship cheese. I'm still thinking about it as we speak! The world's best mac and cheese was also super good, but I'm always seeking more adventurous flavors. Lastly, the panini was perfectly toasted and crispy with a nice cheese pull! It was really good, but the smoked salmon mac and cheese was magical to eat! The store is average sized and they have a standing area near the factory for you to eat and see the cheese making. No seats inside, so many were just eating the food outside on the sidewalk.

I wanted to try a grilled cheese but there's so many spots around Pike Market I didn't wanna fill up on one place. They use penne noodles with I find unique for a Mac but was a good choice for holding as much of that cheese sauce as possible. It was a little starchy for my preference but still very good. There's little red flakes in the sauce that give it a good flavor profile and little kick. There's a stand up bar after you order where you can eat your food but no formal seating.

The food fell short across the board: Tomato Soup: It was way too sour, lacking any of the rich, balanced flavor you want in a classic tomato soup. To make matters worse, the guy serving us really wasn't very friendly, which only added to the subpar experience. Food: (4/5) I'm not the biggest fan of mac and cheese in general because it gives me flavor fatigue sooo fast, but this one was really good! I've had Beechers at the famous Pike location many years ago and don't remember it being so delicious. I have no idea what exactly my partner ordered, but it was soo creamy and just the right amount of cheesy. It was so steamy that it stayed hot for a good amount of our flight as well. This is definitely something I would like to start getting more often, especially as a comfort food before something that can be physically taxing like a long flight.
