They have a great selection of books, audio books, music and movies. If you're a member, they even have classes you can take with the online part of the library. They have so many things that the offer, most people don't even know about them. Also, they sell books in the lobby that are one of the best book selections around. People that read interesting material bring there books there to donate. I've purchased one or two books every time I'm there. And those prices beat out Value Village and Goodwill. They often get to know you and are willing to help individually if needed. I also appreciate the mix of online and on campus classes the school provides. The online classes help add some flexibility to the hours spent on campus and help you work with a job and school at the same time. If you are thinking of Running Start or of just going after high school or going back to school later in life, this is a great opportunity right in your backyard. Both turned out absolutely delicious and instructions were very clear - I actually feel comfortable recreating these at home. Our instructor was Cat, who was extremely knowledgeable and kept the class going at a great pace. I also really liked her humor! I found her jokes super funny and she kept me engaged, never bored. We got to sample lots of the instructor's bread at the end of class and took home our own breads, which were HUGE. Plenty to share with family and I froze some too.

The problem was the instructor, Leah Starr, who was consistently rude and condescending. On our way home afterward, my daughter asked, "what was wrong with her?" No idea - no one in class acted out of turn or caused problems. It was very unprofessional. Unfortunately, when I followed up with the school to ask, they said you're not able to find out the instructor's name in advance, which is enough for us not to take a chance on going back.

Each book section is clearly marked and no book section is small. Often topics will creep into the other areas. Being a used bookstore their stock is understandably inconsistent. Some books are rare little gemstones, one of a kind treasures. Others are fascinating because there are duplicates of random tomes, like yacht types from the 1980's, that made me wonder how they had more than one at all. The store feels old. A used bookstore, I suppose, should feel old. I enjoyed walking through the aisles looking up at all the various titles. The employees stayed by the front desk - a couple older men who were exchanging stories of tulip festivals long since past. While they didn't engage people walking through they always turned their full attention to any customer who needed their help. It is a fascinating store!

A long time ago, my son tried to steal something from a store we went to. He was younger, but…read morestill. I wanted to let him know it's not ok. I took him to the sheriff's office, told them what happened and asked them to play along. As soon as I brought my son in, an officer came in and asked him if his name was so and so...my son just shook his head yes and started crying. Obviously at this point I felt bad for him. The officer explained to him what could've happened to him, and why it's bad to steal. I was very impressed with how they played along with no judgement at all to help a mom out.
