On November 14, 2018 Mountain Air came out and serviced my heating and air conditioning systems. They were friendly, efficient and showed up a little early. They had clean uniforms, good looking equipment and got right to work! For the air conditioning system, they checked the refrigerant pressure, checked for any leaks and inspected all hoses/tubing. They also tested for any electrical draws and temperature splits. They inspected the inside coil and cleaned the outside coil. I also had them test the air distribution through my vents, to make sure each room in the house, had the adequate amount of air flow. For the heating system, they checked my gas furnace for gas pressure and/or electrical draws and temperature splits. Part of this service included a carbon monoxide test, and checking for cracks on the heat exchanger. They likewise tested all safeties to make sure they were functioning. I spoke with the owner Michael for a good while; I think he's as honest as they come! Michael will tell you the truth about your system(s) and give you various repair options; he didn't try any high-pressure sales tactics. It felt like an old friend showing up to help get things working. I would absolutely recommend Mountain Air to everybody I know! I called Mike after 4 people had worked on my furnace and could not get it working. The previous owners could never get the new heater working so she had a wall heater installed instead. Mike came over looked at the heater found the settings to be for a lower altitude. He fixed the problem in like 15 minutes and i now had a new furnace as it had never been used . What a great guy he also told me how make the heater work more efficiently . He is great. We had a problem with our air conditioner, the blower was working but no cold air! We had a company come out on Saturday and the cost was $1900.00. So we got a 2nd opinion from Mountain Air and the cost was $160 for a new dual compressor!!! Our unit is 14 years old and yes it will have to be replaced by next year but being on a fixed income we are glad we got the 2nd opinion!!! Mountain Air was very straight forward about what was wrong with our unit and what we will probably have to due in the future!!! But for now we have cold air!!!! Michael was amazing! When our air conditioner stopped working, we called a local competing HVAC company. They told us we needed a whole new unit because they couldn't find the replacement parts our existing unit needed. Not only that, but we paid $200 just to have them come take a look. We called Michael for a second opinion. He came right out at no charge, looked over our unit to see what it needed, found the replacement parts within 20 minutes and came back out the following Sunday to put them in. We just had a very impressive service experience with Michael. In the midst of some very hot, dry weather our air conditioner, which is quite old and temperemental suddenly concked out. Because of some health concerns I do not tolerate heat well. Michael responded promptly, was very courteous and professional. He had us up and running again in a couple of hours. My heater went out a few days before Thanksgiving. I called Michael at the suggestion of another company. Michael squeezed me into his schedule for the next evening. If you want the best, call Mountain Air. We have a 6 year old unit that has had multiple problems since we moved into our new manufactured home in 2015. The MFG installer had to come out and fix the unit two weeks after we moved in. Five years later the same problem popped up (leak and loss of freon completely) and after calling around, Mountain Air was recommended to us by another air conditioning/heating service company. Michael came out on a Sunday afternoon to help me. I explained the issue I was having with my A/C. He went up on the roof to the unit and fixed the problem in less than a half hour.
