I had this company come to service my air conditioner. There wasn't a problem just thought it had been a few years since I bought the unit. Everything was fine before the technician showed up. After he left my AC blew warm air. I called office, technician came back, went back on the roof and told me my fan quit working. I said, "it was working before you touched it" He said they periodically go out. Well MY ac was working this morning. He went back up on the roof and miraculously it works. Has been working for three hours now. Fan is still working. So much for a honest company looking out for you. Beware!! read more

My furnace quit and they tired to sell me a new unit vs. fixing mine. I called again and needed one of my mini-splits fixed. They refused because they did not sell it to me! They said it was "Company Policy"! Their reason was something about liability/warranty? They also said no one else service it if they did not sell it? That I found out is totally NOT true. The complaint I have with A/C Medic, they charged me $360, after a 10% discount, for a $170 (Retail) thermostat, that took 15 minutes to install. When I questioned Britney, she said the $360 was for the cost of the stat & installation, no other explanation why the charge was so high. I have been a General Contractor, Custom Homes & Remodeling, for 25 years, so I fully understand the costs of doing business. I told her that I would pay the bill, however, I do not feel the charge is fair, I have had no response to that comment. read more

The fab wasn't working on my recently-purchased house. The AC unit is older, so I had concerns. Thanks to the office and field staff of AC Medic Heating and Air in Prescott AZ for helping us address our heating challenges. We had a Trane package unit installed by another company three years ago. We discovered that our house's duct work is too restrictive to let the Trane unit's heater work properly. Trane's design includes a very low temperature (125 degrees) high limit switch. Older machines could run much hotter. So our high limit switch routinely shut off the unit. Alex came out and reviewed the entire system. He found that one of our returns was undersized. We had this corrected on 11-20-23, the return side pressure reading is very good now. Next up is to address the pressure side of the duct work to get it to flow better and then we will have proper air flow across the unit, and will have correct operation. I just had a great experience with AC Medic.! We have an old house in the historic district and only had a broken down old furnace under the house with no ducts anywhere. Bob and his team came out and assessed our house for the right type of HVAC unit, gave us recommendations with all the advantages and disadvantages for each, and guided us to choose the right air conditioner and heater for our house. They had to install all the ducts and registers in an attic full of roof supports going every which way, they worked so hard to make everything perfect! They promised and delivered everything in a very short time frame, and did an extremely professional job. They work with the best Trane products and offer some maintenance packages and free financing. Our heating went out and it was so cold in our house! I called a place and they said they could not come out until Tuesday ( this was on Friday). I called AC Medic and spoke with Brittany who was so helpful. She had her tech on the phone and coordinated a service call within minutes. I would like to take this time to thank the folks at AC medic. Our unit quit blowing cool air last night around 8 pm. I made the phone call early the next morning before their scheduled business hours. Brittany answered the call and said she would get back to me as soon as she got to the office. Within the hour I had a return phone call, and a technician at our home within the next hour. I was amazed at the promptness of their response. She worked us in with they're scheduling.
