Walked in this morning to my favorite Junction coffee house, with my visiting daughter and son-in-law to grab coffee to-go. They are both coffee fanatics who own a seasonal ice cream and espresso place in Jefferson. They were very happy with the drinks they ordered. For the first time, I ordered the Viking Swill cold brew. It was terrific. Strong, with bold flavor that wasn't hampered by an over roast, like many shops serve. The ladies at the counter were sweet and informative about some of the varietals the shop had on the shelves. I really like this place! read more

This place was so cute! And the smell inside is heavenly! Google maps showed me 4 other coffee places around here that didn't exist and I saw their giant coffee sign outside so we bee-lined! Was pleasantly surprised with the amount of flavors they have cause this girls loves her some flavored lattes. The gal taking my order and fixing drinks was super sweet. I ordered a banana and dark chocolate latte for me and a white chocolate and pumpkin latte for hubs. We both were very pleased!! I really like this coffee shop! I know a lot of people come by just to pick up beans. I haven't done that myself, but I do enjoy popping in to get an iced coffee and either take it to go or else spend an hour lounging and catching up with a friend. They have seasonal and specialty coffees that I've liked, and often I get an iced lavender latte which is my personal favorite. This last time I went, I tried a scone and it was tasty. The employees are really friendly and there is always enough seating. Will keep coming back! read more

If you haven't tried this coffee shop yet, you definitely need to check it out! Perfect place to study, as the environment is very tranquil and quiet. Everything from the wall decor to the tables was beautifully decorated. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and my fiancé ordered an iced white mocha. Both drinks were quite good, energizing, but not overly bold in flavor. Their prices were very reasonable compared to other coffee shops I've visited. We are coffee snobs visiting the area from DC and had a great experience here. The cold brew was delicious, one person in our party loved their smoothie, and omg that cinnamon roll (get it warmed up.) The place was well kept and bright. I think peer pressure is actually more effective than laws. The reply came 5 months later and was not pleasant. We're new to the area and are looking for stores to feed our vices. Beer and wine are easy, coffee not so much. We've tried most of the other places in town and none had really floated our boat. We'd avoided Mountain Air because of some of the negative reviews here. At the end of the day, despite being a veteran, I don't care if a business is veteran owned, to paraphrase Alton Brown, I'm just here for the coffee. The political views of the owner similarly don't matter if they don't rub my nose in their views. Still, the stories didn't make me think Mountain Air would be welcoming, or that their coffee would be worth it. So, how'd it work out for us? Is Mountain Air the best in Grand Junction, as some have claimed? There are two aspects to a coffee shop. One is how the in shop coffee and experience are, the other is how their beans are when you get them home. The in shop experience and coffee were very good. We enjoyed our coffees and pastries, the staff was nice. While I haven't tried all the coffee shops in town, so far this is the best we've brought home. Their Sumatra made a very nice cup here at home. We'll be back, and we look forward to being back. read more

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend a vanilla lavender latte with almond milk (their recommendation that was spot on!) The muffin was very yummy. What a great spot for a morning cuppa. I also love that I am able to support a veteran business in this community! I'll be visiting much more often. read more

While road tripping around, I like to collect Lbs of coffee. I'm am so happy I bought two delightful blends from MAR. Morning inspiration blend was beyond my expectations for a "breakfast blend." This blend had me jazzed, jazzed on life it's self. I was zooming through my day. I also extremely enjoyed the Meister blend! If you want to go to the most unwelcoming, unfriendly, unpleasant, unprofessional location for an overpriced cup of coffee served by miserable employees, come here. The owner has been known to be verbally aggressive toward his employees and does not treat them with respect. I wanted to make this review because I have witnessed this firsthand as a customer. I have lived in Grand Junction for over 10 years, and have heard many nasty things about the owner. As a community, we cannot reward this behavior. Not to mention the health code violations that are very obvious in the store, or that the business practices of the establishment are idiotic at best. Very anti-mask. So I think they are being very successful right now, because they have formed the reputation as being the place to go if you don't care about the health of others. I visited my sister in Grand Junction last weekend. It was a bit tricky finding a local coffee roaster. I was excited to locate this little gem! It isn't in the best part of town, but the inside is warm and inviting! There are huge bags of coffee from all over the world, ready to be roasted.
