DO NOT USE. I called them on March 21st to plan the burial of my fathers ashes on April 15th(a…read moreSaturday). I told the gentlemen what I needed and he gave me the prices and it came to a total of $800.00 approximately. I told the man on the phone that my family would be here a few weeks before the service and we could come in and pay and sign the papers. He said that this was fine. We'll my family got to town and I called Mcdougals. They said they would pass on the message and someone would return the call. No one ever called. So Monday, 6 days before the service I called 3 times and was told someone would call me back. Finally I called again on Tuesday and someone from the funeral home answered and transferred me to Chris. I told him I needed to finalize the pay for the plans that I had already made with someone else a month before. He said there was no record but could help me. I told him what I needed and he said that he would email me a contract to sign and it would all be taken care of. Well I get the contract and the $800.00 was all the sudden $2000.00. This would be an extra $1000.00 because he was being layed to rest on the weekend. Being in shock I called Chris back and told him this was not the price that I was told earlier. He said he had no idea who I talked to before and that there were 13 people that planned funeral at this business. Now that sure seems like a lot of planners for one funeral home of a small town. He then was angry and telling me that what they always charge but he would go ahead and take that charge away. MMMMM thats interesting. Chris was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. Being someone getting ready to bury my father it is obvious he has no compassion for this job and should maybe try a used car dealership, his attitude is perfect for that job. DO NOT USE, SWITCH AND BAIT COMES TO MIND.

While we already had a mortuary in mind, we had no idea which cemetery to use. I set up a bunch of meetings and planned visits within the days right after my mother had passed, and I was quite disappointed with most of those we visited. I experienced poor customer service, a cemetery that didn't see very well kept, an inconvenient place to visit or some other issue. When I came across Paradise Memorial Gardens, I was extremely pleased with how well they communicated, their excellent customer service, and the layout and ease of visiting the cemetery. I had reached out to Dan and quickly heard back from him. I had told him what exactly we were looking for in terms of a location, stone, and service, and he certainly rose to the occasion to ensure that we had the date and time of the funeral and later an unveiling. He explained the prices and answered many questions that my family members and I had asked. Dan was responsive whether we were connecting right before the funeral or in the months that followed when planning an unveiling. For such a stressful time, I was pleased to have someone we made a connection with to reach out to. The actual Paradise Memorial Gardens cemetery is laid out nicely. Instead of other cemeteries where stones are all sticking up out of the ground, many of the stones are flat on the ground where they blend in with the nature. My mother's stone is near a big tree, which provides some shade when I visit her in hotter months. There is a small lake where swans and Canadian geese like to roam. For an interesting story, ask the staff about the swans. There is also a heated and air-conditioned mausoleum onsite which I had been in only once when a friend passed away a number of years ago. There is plenty of parking on the side of the single street that circles the site. There are two entrances, one off of Shea Blvd and the other off 92nd Street. While I didn't use them, I heard good things about the Messinger Mortuaries, which is directly tied to the Paradise Memorial Gardens. I certainly encourage anyone looking for a cemetery (and possibly a mortuary) to check them out.

She was interred with her husband, Michael who passed in 2001. For the service we had at the mausoleum and the interment, Cat was also extremely helpful and kind. Yesterday, I called again to Candy to help us plan another interment for the untimely death of my brother-in-law, Jeffrey Jarko. Candy is kind and considerate and her compassion is welcomed to ease our family's needs. Please thank her for us. Sincerely Carl Gundersen

Other than this resting place, the closest one to San Tan Valley/Queen Creek is in Mesa. I love the green expanse, stretching over 7 acres, and the placement of benches. There are 40 more acres set aside. The trees will eventually grow. And a mausoleum is planned in future years. The entire site just has a feeling of "family" to it. The young lady in the office was very helpful and considerate, well-trained to deal with people in different stages of distress. The prices here are very reasonable compared with what other of my family members have paid in other states. San Tan Memorial Gardens double stacks its graves, so one purchase covers two people. I have two recommendations: I wish the groundspeople would spread grass seed over newly dug graves as it takes a long time for established grass to cover the bare ground. (I noticed a couple of families did that on loved one's gravesites.) And the Gardens' website should show, by the office hours, a statement that the cemetery never closes. (A few friends thought the entire property closed at 3:00, not realizing that was just the office.) Other than that, this is a real jewel for our area.
