As far as customer service, I can not recommend Complete Care Cremation in Mesquite enough. Terry, I assume the owner, it's the only person I've spoken with in the office, has been Grace personified. I know that this is likely a situation that she's handled before, but good gracious, this has been a drawn out mess! She was even willing to drive to my mother if necessary assuming we could pin her location down to obtain consent for cremation. Also, the person (not sure the role title, and I'll remember his name at some point) who came to pick my grandmother up was so kind. He handled her with so much care, much like she was his own loved one. Despite the general stress of the death of a loved one, and the extra stress of our situation, this facility has been amazing.

The funeral home did everything they promised to do and I thought the price was very fair. I dealt with Ray Hailey and was also introduced to the owner at the initial meeting. Ray had a professional and calming demeanor. The owner Scott Smith brought the urns to the cemetery the day of the service and stayed for the graveside service. I feel like their company did an excellent job.

My mother , my best friend and matriarch of our family passed away suddenly back in April. If you are close to your mother then you already know how devastatingly painful this can be. I never in a million years would have thought that my mother would only live to be 61 years old. To have her ripped out of our lives like this is simply indescribable. My family is new to Texas and was referred to sacred by a family member. In the black community who did the body is as important as thanksgiving mac n cheese. I'm So happy that we lucked up and got it right. When I say they did the body!!! They did the body. Sacred funeral home exceeded our expectations not only as a family but as a daughter who deeply loves their mother and only wants what's best for their mother. I am telling you this is the most professional staff that there is when it comes to funeral services. Every single person in that building is kind, professional and human. I felt there was no phony shield between the staff and I. They never once were annoyed by our entourage when I'm telling you I know we were being annoying. Lol especially writing that obituary and swapping our photos every 5 minutes. Or even having too many freaking photos. Not to mention showing up with almost 10-15 people each time we came. Not once did they complain. My mother was so important and everybody wanted to be apart of her last moments. They didn't shame us for this. Myron was like my right hand man. This man is a Jack of all trades. The daughter. We had a special moment together daughter to daughter. She allowed me to privately view my mom before my other family members arrived. She just understood that I needed that time alone with my mother. She understood that from a daughters perspective. None of us talked. Complete silence but in that moment she understood. No words were needed. Mr. dedrick restored my mother back to the point where it was hard to believe she was even gone. This man has the magic touch. He was made for this. It just felt like I knew these people, I felt like they were giving us special treatment but they weren't that just how they are, isn't that crazy? Then the singer/keyboard player I think his name was Jayson, omg he was like my best friend, he was funny he was kind he was compassionate. He was the absolute best. I love these people so much and I am so grateful for the service they gave us. I know for a fact my mother is beyond happy with the service she received. God bless

But as process went on they were not transparent and would not follow through with our family's needs. Not returning calls or providing options to family in order to keep arrangements in schedule. Going with them has been a huge mistake. For the record, the director Mr Jennings is not compassionate and I found him underhanded in his business dealings with our family.

The current owners have *not* owned Blessing since 1944. Different families did, and the difference between the service those families provided, and what's now offered, is glaring. 2nd, please, please, PLEASE, read other reviews about the company that currently owns Blessing, and pay close attention to how many people say their loved ones looked wrong, or disappointing, because that's the sad truth of it. They take your loved one from wherever they expire and pack them away in a so-called "care center" in a completely different city, only returning them hours before visitation or service when it's too late to correct their appearance. Our family member was unrecognizable, and had discolorations that weren't present at their time of death. We never had the impression that they cared about the treatment of our loved ones, at all. They added to the stress of the moment, rather than making things easier. When my grandmother died years ago, they were downright rude to me, and other relatives were treated similarly with our more recent experience.

Every chance he got he wanted to argue with us about ANYTHING! To the point that even the lady that works with him had to tell him you did say that. I it upset him he couldn't charge us for that he decided to give me an extra transport charge that he NEVER not once mentioned until he couldn't charge was the other fee. In the end charging me 800 dollars in transportation fees. In between this and everything to follow I had to wait till after noon to do any business with them because the director don't answer the phones he just be mean to people in the background and the lady running things works at a daycare in the mornings. Then, we waited 2 weeks for the death certificate and it was a straight forward natural death. Come to find out( I heard the conversation with vital records) they hadn't requested the death certificates. Holding up the process with insurance, the cemetery and the other funeral home. I had been calling every other day asking for it. Finally we decided she would pay the fee to expedite getting the certificates (we paid for 5) and pay to overnight them to me since they were not in with my father when he was shipped. She was supposed to fax me a copy before she sent them off. Hours after they were picked up I got 3 cut off pictures of the death certificate and a picture of shipped partial letter that was arriving with my certificates 3days later. Obviously the other funeral home had to call her and get her to fax the copy of the certificate instead of the 3 cut off pictures. When the other director said you know we can't accept pictures in text she laughed and said yeah you're right. At this point we all were tired of dealing with them. It was a very horrible experience at one of the worse times in my life. I would NOT recommend this funeral home to anyone. Especially if you're looking for someone on their game with an empathetic heart. The director mean and appears to be very old. The lady running things is nice but appears to not know what is going on and ALL over the place. Not a good experience at all!!!!

We used their chapel for the viewing and memorial service and it was clean and quiet. They also put together a slide show of family pictures quickly and did a great job. There is ample parking and a large cemetery next door. There is a wide variety of selection for you to plan your funeral and memorial service if you so chose to do so. It is a hard thing to think about for some but a necessary thing to do for your family so they dont have to take care of it after you are gone. Great people are running Skyvue.
