Was super fun! We reserved a spot for the 45 minute ride at 2pm and arrived at about 1:40. Walked in and the lady at the desk directed us to fill out some forms/waivers. She then told us we could either wait in the little office area or go outside and pet the horses. We decided to head outside. People started rolling in at 2 and we had a decent sized group. We were assigned our horses and they were super helpful and kind when assisting us on our horses. I got to ride Chunky! It was a super fun experience. Your feet may get a little tired at the end of the ride- idk how people would do it for longer than 45 minutes LOL Overall, super cool, super friendly workers. They were great guides and so helpful and made sure everyone had fun and was safe. They also ask if you want pictures and volunteer to take them for you!

We had a nice time at the riding stables today. We went on a group tour. It was most of our first times. Youngest being 8 years old. We all enjoyed and felt safe. Guides were very friendly and had big personalities. One guide even took our photos. They gave us a quick safety/instruction intro and assigned us each a horse. We went through some water and through the tree. It was a full 45-48 minute ride. For the price it was worth it. I would recommend

My family went horseback riding while on vacation. I called to make the reservation and they were able to find a time for us to ride. When we arrived we signed the waivers, got helmets and given a quick little lesson on riding. Then were assigned horses. We were helped on the horse and away we went! The horses for sure know how and where to go, I doubt we even needed to steer them. There were 3 guides and at one point one took photos of each of my family members while riding. It was so nice of her to do and also to not charge extra for it- so nice. One guide was especially chatty which was interesting to hear what she had to say but was also glad she wasn't taking to me because I was enjoying the ride. The ride takes you through a stream, up a hill and on a rocky trail. There is a short period that the horses trot, maybe 10 seconds. Otherwise it's a nice walk. Great for a beginner or first timer.

I brought my grandsons (8 and 14) for their first horseback ride. The staff were friendly and helpful with instructions for a new rider such as the 8 year old. It was a good experience overall and i would do it again.

Very fun times. Been here a couple of times as well. It's a very well organized ride. Being a city guy, every time the horses start their trots, I'm crushing my Crown Jewels... Other than that, the staff actually helps to take pictures of your party. Keeps the riders and horses moving along without rushing.

Drove up from Maryland for a day trip and we were not disappointed. The trail guides are awesome, horses were great and the ride was beautiful.

Wife and I did the private trail ride last June was alot of fun and we both loved it will be doing it again soon. The tour guide was awesome as well.

Called after seeing the email declining our booking, noticed at 10:20am as I was pulling the email for directions to the stables.

So on 9/25/2020 I booked online for 5 riders, myself and my girlfriends. (See attached) and on 10/2/3020 at 4:30pm (see attached), I received an email stating that one rider-- myself exceeded the weight limit, no problem, the other four girls can still go. A side from no mention of a weight limit, I'm upset it took 7 days to get notified. The reason I saw the email this morning was because I was looking to pull the address for driving directions!! I called this morning to confirm the other 4 girls could still ride at 11am and the receptionist told me that once it declined my booking they automatically took call-in requests from yesterday and gave away our slot. Absolutely horrible way of handling bookings--

My husband and I had SUCH a fun time at Mountain Creek Riding Stables on Friday!! We started by calling to add our names to the noon trip. The girl on the phone was super helpful and told us about how there was construction going on right in front of their location, and to add extra time to get there. Thank goodness she told us this, because the detour route added at least 15 minutes to our trip. If we hadn't have left early, we might have been late and missed our booking. After arrival but before we departed on our trail ride we spent some time petting the horses. They were all just tied to the fence in front of their water buckets, waiting to be taken out on an adventure. I ended up being assigned Broccoli, and my husband was given Guinness. The guides are really careful to pair groups with horses that like each other, so there are no problems when you're on the trail. They help you mount your horse and give you a demo on how to hold the reigns and get the horse to do what you want it to do. Our guide for the day was a middle-aged woman whose name started with the letter "V." It's been a minute since we rode, so I forget her name. I think it might have been Vondra? Anyway, she was EXCELLENT! I happened to be riding right behind her, and my husband was behind me. The whole ride she spent reminding us how to hold our reigns, how to position our feet, what to do if our horse stops for a snack, etc. She also spent a lot of time telling us facts about horses, and also facts about their specific horses. I really enjoyed that she could tell us all of our horses names and their particular quirks or histories. She said that every morning the first thing that's done, before any of the staff eat or drink, is that they feed the horses. Apparently the owner, Mark, has 60+ horses in his care! Vondra (I'm just going to call her that from here on out) told us about how they acquire their horses, how long horses can live for, and a bunch of facts about horses. Did you know that a horse can feel a fly land on its bum in 30 mph winds? I was very happy that she shared all this information with us, not only because it was entertaining, but because I was reassured that the horses that reside at this stable are really taken care of and loved. The trail was pretty great, too. We got to walk through a creek, see deer, and spy on some wild turkeys! At the end of our trail ride the guides took pictures for us. All-in-all, this was a really, really great way to spend some time and my husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. I would totally return for another jaunt in the woods!

Very nice staff who goes beyond their means to help us take pics. My gf got Stan who was a little grumpy that day (think Tard the grumpy cat). He wouldn't trot and held the other half of the group back. But very reasonable pricing $35, but our group was too large. A later afternoon group with less people would of been nicer. Don't forget to tip the staff!

This place is a delight! I was visiting the area for my friends bachelorette weekend and we decided to come do some horseback riding here. The staff was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable once on horseback. The trail is lovely and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend riding Navajo! He was a sweetheart. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

We went on the 1 hour private trail ride and it was spectacular! Our guide Tracy was very knowledgeable and kind. The horses were beautiful and smart. Trotting was super cool throughout the trail for my husabnd and 2 daughters. The trail was very scenic as we began walking through a creek area and up a rocky hill and through the forest. We saw many animals along the way which was a nice bonus. Highly recommend this place!

Went on the private ride with my girlfriend. Well worth it. Guides were friendly. Horses were mellow and knew where to go.
