I've been here so many times through the years. I really would like to support a local business…read more But the service and the food are consistently mediocre at best. Oftentimes I have tried to order items from the menu only to be told, "sorry we're out" of every item. One time I chose four items one right after another. They were out of all of them. Meat temps are never correct, service is very, very, very slow. Food is far too average for the prices that are charged. I'm sorry but I simply cannot recommend this restaurant.

We chose the Chai Martini, the Espresso Martini, and the Green Queen. The Chai Martini was good, not sweet. The Espresso Martini was good, but very sweet. The Green Queen was delicious. The cilantro made it special. We had the HH steak, which was good. The HH chicken and waffles--a little different than I am used to and a bit on the sweet side. I would make some changes when ordering in the future. We also tried the Brisket Potato Skins...a bonus that they are cooked with tallow, but the brisket was a little on the dry side. Service for drinks was a little slow and our waitress seemed a little off. She was friendly, but not much attention to detail. We would definitely return. Interested in trying more of the menu. Its a really cute space. Good place to watch the game. 3.5 overall

I went to Kravins, The new name for the coffee house, that used to be called Shiplap it's located…read morein the center of Old Town Yelm, WA. I had great expectations but was sadly disappointed. First of all, you must realize there's tons of coffee places in Washington, especially in Yelm I can count about 9 places that sell coffee on the main Street. I'm not even counting the half dozen gas stations either . Most of them are little drive-thru structures. This one is a brick and mortar in town. And unfortunately people are lazy and like to drive through and get their beverages. So that's sort of a negative for Kravins. You need to make that place a coffee house. Someone is willing to get out of their car for. The former business was really adorable. They had some really cute unique vintage stuff in there shop. They had a business that did Do-It-Yourself terrariums in the back. It was very unique and it was sad that they didn't make it due to lack of support of this town. The rule of thumb is when you take over a business you need to make it better and more interesting . I went in the other day, because I heard they had soup there a while back. They no longer sell soup. So that's strike one. Their baked goods looked like they had bought them from the grocery store instead of either sourcing them from someone unique or baking them themselves. There are plenty of bakers that are independent in this town that you could source some really amazing baked goods from if you don't want to do it yourself. You need something like that to bring people in. I don't know why you don't have a soup and salad bar that would take your business to the next level. The cute shop and vintage items are gone and have been replaced with boring gift store items. Tim's pharmacy has the most unique items and they're right across the street. Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel with some humdrum stuff? I'm giving you free advice if you want to make that business go. You have to make it shine and be so unique. Even the drinks have to be different. I purchased a small smoothie that cost me almost $8 and it wasn't good. It was extremely sweet and it had a strange taste to it. Based on that visit I would never come back and I wouldn't recommend you to anybody. You have a really nice shop there. You need to really bring it up to the next level. You need to serve some sort of soup and salad. Something unique. Forget the sandwiches. Those are everywhere or if you make sandwiches they have to be different. People are looking for something new. Also you want to make it a place people want to come and hang out. It's not charming anymore with the gift shop hanging there. Hopefully you fix it. Turn it into a little restaurant.

Quite a unique store. It looks small from the outside but once inside, it huge. Decor overall is carefree and chill moods. Clean & spacious place for work, relax, or just hangout to read a good book with drinks & snacks. Drinks are okey, not bad and same with foods. No need for high expectations but go with the flow. We went here for some recoup & recharge over coffee & cookie and card games. Service is nice & friendly. Good vibe for sure. Had a wonderful time here with my friend before bowling right next door. Parking is plenty, most are street parking infront, sideway or in the back.
