Went to order 2 drinks as we waited in line and online says they closed at 6:30pm I know it's only Christmas eve but the least she could have done was service us but no she said sorry I just turned my lights off and continued to say I'm so sorry so the last one who was working I know has been working there for a long time and we're definitely not happy. read more

They are the slowest coffee shop known to man kind. They lose more business then they get due to there wait.

I've been making my way around trying our different coffee stands in my area. I've heard nothing but good things about Avenue Espresso in general. This particular location was very busy when I got there. I think I heard that they have a time standard on service, but this didn't seem so true, at least not while I was there. I asked for a sugar free Lotus and did receive my drink in a very timely manner (just not while I was in line). My drink was ok, I asked for a surprise sugar free Lotus and when I got it, it tasted very sour. This may just be something I'll specify in the future but out of the 100s of times I love gotten a surprise me they used some better creativity than what I'm assuming was "sour gummy worm" syrup, which I don't believe comes in sugar free. I'm willing to go back and be more specific next time but probably not to this location. The way into the parking lot was a little difficult, with the roundabouts (which I hate). You truly can never go wrong with Avenue. I'm obsessed with their iced Twix latte and they have great burritos. Service is always quick & friendly, greeted with a smile. So i have been going here for quite a few years. They have pretty good coffee. What i don't like is the fact that they ask you for a tip. I think that's pretty rude, they charge you 1.10 for a pup cup. I think they charge people enough money that they can give those out. I have been to plenty of other places that don't charge for those. Lastly they pay their employees crap. They barely make minimum wage which i think is horrible. They work their asses off for this company. According to an employee that i spoke with they didn't even give them a bonus thru the pandemic, and you damn well they made bank. So i think for those reasons I'm gonna find a new coffee shop. A company that has employees begging for tips and doesn't support their employees is a company i don't wanna support. read more

Avenue is the best Espresso hut around. I live in Rochester, so the Grand Mound shop is the one I visit most, but I've been to them all, Tumwater, Oly, Lacey, Centralia, Chehalis. I get a somewhat complicated blended coffee drink, and they almost always do me right. In comparison I can't even get my favored drink at Starbucks, and Dutch Bros has NEVER managed to pull off my orders correctly, ugh! The workers at AE are always great, fast and friendly. They are the only place I can occasionally find my favorite Uncle Seth's pink cookie with cream cheese frosting. My daughter loves the red bull mixed Italian sodas and the breakfast burrito specifically the Gravy Train flavor. She wasn't too happy when I told her what gravy train was when I was a kid in the 70's! Anyway, make a break from the corporate coffee joints and try some home town brew! You won't be disappointed. read more

Rather than spend another cent at Great Wolf Lodge or Starbucks, we went just a few hundred yards away to this little coffee stand and are so happy we did. Friendly, personal service and drinks served in seasonal cups. Coffee is pretty much an essential part of any road trip and this started the long haul down I-5 back to Portland on the right note. read more

Was in Rochester visiting family and stopped in for a mid day energy boost. I heard from my mother in law that the drive up coffee stand across the street closed down recently, could be why we waited 15 minutes in line till we get to the window. The barista was quite friendly considering she was the only one working and it was super busy. I ordered three specialty drinks, everyone was satisfied. Place was a little crappie stand, but they have rebuilt and relocated it just down the road slightly. Drinks are real good, friendly girls and tasty breakfast muffins. Here is the main problem though... they take FOREVER to get your order out. Too much talking and BS going on. Every time I try this place, same deal... Talk talk and more talk... stop effing talking and mix those drinks girls. You are hurting the business by taking too long. Overall I'd be back. Just plan on sitting in your car for 15+ mins. read more

Cross country road trip. Looking for local food. Service friendly and personal. The white chocolate mocha latte and the caramel latte (add whipped cream to both)beat all other lattes we've ever had. Not too sweet. Not too strong. Perfect. Ordered a veggie burrito, as well. So happy to see a local caterer made it. Skip the McDonalds next door and take a few minutes to enjoy something real and unprocessed. read more

When I moved to the Seattle area in 1991 I really preferred the drive-thru espresso placed over Starbucks or Tullys, etc... The shots were almost always pulled really well and foam was excellent. But the consistency became unpredictable over time so I found myself going to chain shops more and more. Avenue Espresso brought me back to the great espresso I remember. Shot was pulled really well, with plenty of chocolates and no bitter burnt taste. The foam was excellent and the service was really friendly. Really great surprise. read more

This right-off-the-road coffee stand is definitely a pleasure to stop in and get your favorite brew. Not only are the gals super friendly but they are fast and always have a smile on their faces! As an avid coffee drinker it's refreshing to be able to feel a little spontaneous and order an uncommon flavored coffee and the ladies don't look at you like a crazy person. I'm a local and it is definitely my go-to place when my husband and I are on our way to work, thanks to the great service. The only reason I gave them a four star is because on of my favorite flavored coffees is kahlua & peanut butter and they don't carry kahlua flavoring they end up mixing more flavors than I intend and my husband loves caramel apple red bull drinks but they don't carry apple flavoring All in all they are a great coffee stand with great service! read more

Multiple times it has taken way too long. Today i waited 18 minutes. there were 2 cars ahead of me and 3 in the other line when i pulled up. the other line moved very quickly and they did 7 cars in that line by time i got to the window. the car at the other window while i was at the window didnt wait a single second. she was able to pull straight up the the window when she got there. theu really need to fix this. it has happened 3 or 4 times to me there. I know it gets busy, and it will take a bit, but they need to to the 2 lanes at the same speed. Coffee is the best around though. thats the only reason i can tolorate the wait times here. read more
