What we liked the best was that each technique was demonstrated and Colton showed what to do if you were doing it for points, self defense or combat basically giving three variations of each technique. We wanted a real program and one that was certified by the governing Korean TKD body (Kukiwon). And, of course, I've called and visited several TKD schools around Quantico after we moved to the area, and I am absolutely thrilled to have found Master Im for my son!! I did find a few TKD schools offering a little less tuition but required 2 or 3 years of contract. However, Master Im was MOST FLEXIBLE with tuition payment plan out of all the schools I've contacted, and I am definitely confident that Master Im's TKD PHILOSOPHY and SKILLS are superbly high and strong that it surely justifies his tuition rate without a doubt (If you are ONLY concerned about cheap tuition, this may not be a good school for you). His instructions are HIGHLY DISCIPLINED, MOTIVATING, STRICT, and very ORTHODOX (I say "orthodox" because I trained in Korea when I was young, and I know how it's done in Korea), yet humorous and accommodating enough for students to be fully engaged with TKD and have great fun at the same time. If you are looking for a TKD school, I highly suggest that you visit each school's "Black Belt Class" even if you (or your kids) are not yet a black belt and watch what the school has to offer to their best students in action.
