    Son doing now staff form

My son started here on 9/1/2014 and started off with Taekwondo, then it grew into him doing the tournaments, kids judo, weapons and now since its been a year and a month since he started he's in there demo team. My daughter and I started in December 2014 and she is doing Taekwondo, weapons and kids judo. Myself does Taekwondo and hapkido. The instructors are all very very nice! They know how to talk to kids, they try to make each class as fun as they can while the kids still learn in the class. Master Danny is supper supper nice and awesome! They run a after school program and my kids take it and love it! The program lets the kids take an extra Taekwondo class plus if they have a regular class that day it helps the parents out and they don't have to worry about making sure the kids are there for the class. Instructor Jacob is awesome in judo! He gets to the kids and they all respect and listen to him. He teaches kids and adult judo class. Instructor Mo is awesome with the tiny tigers Taekwondo and regular Taekwondo classes. He tries to throw in games to help teach the kids and adults. Tiny tigers class are for the kids ages 3-6 I believe and it helps get the kids learning about Taekwondo. Instructor Trevor is awesome with weapons and demo team. The kids love him and it has a lot to do with that he right now is a senior in high school so he still can connect with the kids on that level. They have ninja night once a month and the money raised goes back to the Community! That's something else you should check out. Master Danny teaches the black belt class and the hapkido classes. He's very knowledgeable and super awesome! Every instructor knows how to teach each class which helps when having any questions. The team there is super awesome and super nice! They took my kids and I in and we have become one big family! If that's what your looking for then this is the right place for you!!!

If you're searching for a place where you can learn, grow, and laugh while simultaneously being put…read morein both an armbar and a chokehold by someone twice your age and half your size, look no further than Valhalla Academy of Martial Arts. Where Valhalla lacks in a "No Shoes, No Service" policy, it excels in providing a venue for fresh and seasoned martial arts practitioners of all ages to hone their craft in a plethora of styles, including but not limited to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai. You'll be hard pressed to find another gym with such a wealth of engaging opportunities under the same roof. What really sets it apart isn't just the exceptional coaching from its founder and resident Black Belt Professor, Coach Andrew; it's the emphasis placed on personal development from all angles. The atmosphere that's been cultivated at Valhalla ensures a healthy and positive environment where everyone involved is engaged and committed to helping each other progress both physically and mentally. Not only that, but the condition of the facility is par-none and always kept clean. As a slight testament to the caliber of Valhalla's curriculum, I've personally garnered a greater sense of confidence, learned countless practical skills, and gained a greater appreciation for cold showers. Although I've only been a student for a relatively short amount of time, I'm certain I'll be here for the long run.

Greetings, As a…read moreretired (medical) soldier from the Army, I looked for a place where I could meditate utilizing martial arts as a meditation class. I looked all over, and I saw the name Valhalla and was immediately attracted to the place based off that. Professor/Instructor Andrew talked with me on the phone, and I tried out for Filipino Martial Arts and Savate / Jeet Kune Do / Muay Thai. Though I was not attracted to Filipino Martial Arts, I wanted to know more about Savate as I could not recall this form of martial arts. Professor / Instructor Andrew is not only an indescribable instructor / educator / teacher / professor, but his historical background on Savate is so profound. Even after training he ceases to not amaze me with his arsenal of knowledge of how Savate originated from as I had no clue, but only knowing about Jeet Kune Do & Muay Thai from training in the military. I have now been training with him about to go on 2 years as my love for the martial arts known as Savate has grown tremendously. I do recommend anyone to train here as well as knowing he also has his older brother, Mr. Jason training students as well. Their combined knowledge of martial arts makes them an undefeatable duo that loves to teach and educate, and I just really could say more about them, but will leave it here by saying, come and see it for yourself, as you will not be disappointed.

Authentic Korean Martial Arts taught by Kukiwon-certified Masters…read more We tried several places in Stafford/Fredericksburg, but were turned off by their teaching methods--many of them were just black-belt factories and gave belts to anyone with $45. We wanted a real program and one that was certified by the governing Korean TKD body (Kukiwon). This is the best TKD and Hapkido schools in the area--both of my sons attend here and love Master Lee and his instructors--they make it fun but do not cut corners...it is tough, but real.

My family moved quite often over the years due to my job, and my 13 y/o son, who's been practicing…read moreTKD for 5 years, had trained in 3 different schools in different regions. Meaning, I had come across numerous TKD schools, watched instructions of lots of different masters, and experienced different atmosphere of each school and students. And, of course, I've called and visited several TKD schools around Quantico after we moved to the area, and I am absolutely thrilled to have found Master Im for my son!! I did find a few TKD schools offering a little less tuition but required 2 or 3 years of contract. However, Master Im was MOST FLEXIBLE with tuition payment plan out of all the schools I've contacted, and I am definitely confident that Master Im's TKD PHILOSOPHY and SKILLS are superbly high and strong that it surely justifies his tuition rate without a doubt (If you are ONLY concerned about cheap tuition, this may not be a good school for you). His instructions are HIGHLY DISCIPLINED, MOTIVATING, STRICT, and very ORTHODOX (I say "orthodox" because I trained in Korea when I was young, and I know how it's done in Korea), yet humorous and accommodating enough for students to be fully engaged with TKD and have great fun at the same time. If you are looking for a TKD school, I highly suggest that you visit each school's "Black Belt Class" even if you (or your kids) are not yet a black belt and watch what the school has to offer to their best students in action. And I'm sure many will agree that Master Im and his students are among the best in the area.
