I got several estimates and Clay was the cheapest and probably did a better job than any of the others could have. I will say these guys do install a beautiful looking pool.But they will screw you in every possible way they can. First off, they'll lie to you over and over. They told us they'd have our pool installed in five to 7 weeks weather permitting. They came out, dug the hole and didn't come back for 3 months. There was no rain during this period last year. The father and son do not communicate with each other.Because they do not get along, the father will come out.And tell you everything you want to hear, and you can tell him everything you want.But that will not be communicated to the sun.That does the install. We asked for a salt water system.They installed chlorine and told us it wasn't in the contract. They also tried to pull a fast one with the removal of all the rock and dirt. The contract says three hundred dollars a load. Their own guys told us they would be out there with a dump truck to do this, and it would take about four loads. Instead, he sends out a guy with this smallest dump trailer possible, which would have taken twenty two loads. If they know you have money, they will scam, you in any possible way to get more out of you. Again, their work looks pretty when they're done. But if you don't watch everything they do, they will get you. Also, they did a horrible job on our liner. It has fallen off twice. And they put an ugly seam right where you can see it in the middle of our tanning ledge. read more

Mt. man was a good sales guy but not so good on execution, quality and delivery. Buyer beware. If his team hits a rock any larger than your head he stops the project and won't remove it without extra fees. Misrepresentation during sales, "don't worry about rocks, we shouldn't hit a rock larger than your house." So I ended up with a patio with a rock (24x6) in the middle of the patio. The steps didn't last a year before they loosened. Response was go get you some gorilla glue and fix it yourself. I recommend seeking another contractor that delivers the quality product they promise. And get the rock clause modified in writing! Do not trust verbal promises. read more

Clay and his team were great, he was the first landscaper that I had talked to that gave me a great layout of what we wanted to do and offered many options that we hadn't even thought about. His team was onsite and worked hard every day, they answered all the questions I had about how they did things or "what about this?" I thought his pricing was very fair for the quality of the work they did and the materials they used. Watching his crew use a concrete saw to cut curves into paver stones was impressive in their skill level. My wife and I are very happy with the work they did and will be calling them again when we get ready to do more work. Clay gave me an estimate for a 2' high planter wall, which seemed reasonable on 8-11, and I paid him 50% down. After inquiring about an estimated work date, he advised me on 9-7 that he miscalculated and the price would be twice the amount originally quoted. I can't afford that, and told him so. Since then I've been trying to get my deposit back, with the latest being he was out of town (2 weeks ago) and should be back by 9/17. It's the 23rd and still no refund. I wish there was a zero star rating. This company built a fireplace on our wooden back porch. The original plans called for a herringbone fire stone design. Unbeknownst to us there is a horizontal & diagonal pattern for herringbone. Without confirming with us, the workers put in a horizontal pattern. When we told them that's not what we wanted, the workers took it out & started over, which made Clay extremely angry & irate with us. He billed us for additional labor & materials which we paid with no argument because we wanted it the way we wanted it. After that, the workmanship went downhill. The workers left their tools (including saws & drills) out on our deck & in our yard when they were done working for the day. All the decking they removed they dumped in the tree line behind our house, which is not our property. They left cement in our yard which killed all the grass & we're still trying to fix. And they finished the deck to where the wooden posts covered half the fireplace. We did not complain or ask them to correct any of this because we were happy with the fireplace, we could fix the deck ourselves, clean up the mess they left behind & we wanted to be done with them! Now, 2 years later, we are replacing our deck. And we've discovered that the cement hearth they installed is not structurally sound. We were told that sagging had already begun & once the sagging was complete it would've brought the entire fireplace down with it. Not only would this have ruined the fireplace & our deck, someone could've been seriously injured. I've had many compliments on the fireplace & have been asked for this company's info but I've never given it to anyone because we were displeased with the lack of communication & professionalism. I'm even more thankful now knowing that Clay's personal feelings effect the workmanship. read more

Poor installation, really screwed up the gate, killed my grass where he left cardboard boxes of fence parts pre installation, not sure we actually received what we paid for because it was garbage and faded. Clay and his team did an excellent job building a retaining wall and installing new patio area for us. The patio pavers are beautiful and we will have so much fun entertaining in that new space (that was all muddy dirt originally). We originally paid another company to install the retaining wall but they did a terrible job installing it and had no business ever installing retaining walls. Clay came in, helped us understand what was wrong with the old wall, gave us what I think is a reasonable price, tore out the old wall that had a massive crack in it and replaced it with a beautiful new wall that I know will last a long time. My biggest advice is not to go with the cheapest bid-- pay for someone with experience. Clay does retaining walls and patios daily and knows what he's doing. He's worth paying more and getting it done right the first time! read more

We had Clay and his team do a firepit and wall for us. BEWARE...make sure his drawing matches up what his contract says b/c ours did not and the finished product looked nothing like his drawings. He said the contract says one thing but his drawing clearly showed another. However, his contract says his drawings are indeed part of the contract. So when he thought they were done he came back and said we needed to pay a lot more to make it look the way it was supposed to in the first place. He became angry with us and was talking very rude and inappropriate. He blamed us and never took responsibility for the mistake either. He asked us why we didn't catch the mistake. Are you serious!!! He doesn't manage his projects well and doesn't communicate with the homeowner well either. IF he had been around or had some type of project manager this never would've happened. We had cheaper estimates and wish we would've gone with another company on this one. Make sure you question his drawings and contract if you do end up using Clay. read more
