I ordered two medium pizzas, came home and multiple pieces had PLASTIC stretchy strands in them (see photo of plastic that was in the pizza). I fed my kids this pizza and who knows if they consumed plastic, unbelievable. What a MAJOR health code violation, I hope my family doesn't get sick. I threw the rest of the pizza away. I called the store to speak with a manager to make this situation right and had the most un-empathetic, rude employee speak to me, I honestly couldn't believe the tone of this employees voice, I wish I had a name to share on here. Came in with two other people behind and the guy in front asked someone else for their order, then went to the back told her it'd be a couple minutes, then came to me and asked my name told him and helped another rude customer that cut me off and I said I'm here for a pick up as well and he continued to help the rude customer and even take her payment. They advertise a pizza and salad lunch buffet. Except when you walk in, they say they won't start setting it up until the first customer orders it, which takes 25 minutes. So, obviously I went somewhere else. This feels like a chicken or the egg analogy. They won't set it up because nobody orders it but nobody orders it because it's not set up. My second visit, a little better than my first. Dine-in again, but they're still only set up for take-out. The woman at the cash register, Malu, was polite and friendly. But I was given a to-go box for the salad bar, instead of a real bowl. And the pizza was handed to me in a to-go box again. At least she offered me a paper plate. The high point was the beer. She used a pitcher first, because Lagunitas IPA is foamy, and after my glass was full, she offered me the beer that was left in the pitcher. Like there's nothing that stands out about the pizza, and to my surprise, I feel the portions are small compared to the prices, especially when you compare it to other establishments. I ordered "The Everest (Mini) with thin crust" + "Tuscan Garlic (Small) regular crust" + tax + tip = $30. I didn't taste or feel any difference between thin vs regular crust, none of the tastes wowed me or left any type of impression ... and overall I was just not satisfied and it didn't satisfy my pizza craving. The Tuscan Garlic appealed of course because of the garlic and sundried tomatoes. EhhhHhH the biggest flavor you get IS the sundried tomatoes, but it seemed like too much and was overpowering? I just know I've had better pizza at other "fast food pizza" places with the slices being larger and flavors blending better. I'm sorry, I would forsure rather get the Costco's combo pizza than this. I was visiting from LA and saw this place displayed at the hotel I was staying. We ordered this on our last night and I have to say I was very impressed. The delivery did take a bit long to get here but it was worth the wait. The pizza was very tasty and flavorful. We ate almost half and are saving the Rest for our road trip in the morning. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when I called, they knew my order without needing to provide any information so not sure if additional delivery orders were the delay. It was delivered around 7:23, 30 minutes past the eta and an hour and 18 minutes past order time. By the time the food arrived, everything was lukewarm, making the cheese a bit stale. We usually opt for MM pizza rather than other food sources for its rapid delivery time, but this was excessive and we've never experienced cold pizza from MM before. read more

Realllyyyy bad customer service. I ordered for pick up and when I got there, there had already been people waiting and no one in the front of the store. They don't even have a bell to ring or something to get the attention of the people that are working in the back. Another man ahead of me had asked for his order and the worker told him " please stop asking me when your order is gonna be done. I already told you it was going to be done in x minutes".. well the customer was in a rush because it seemed he was a DoorDasher. After telling the Doordasher his order was going to be ready in seven minutes... that customer was about to walk out the door before the employee pulled a pizza from the back after he literally just said his order wasn't done?! Finally, we get around to my pizza thankfully it was done. I went to pay cash and he asked me if I had changed, I didn't have change, well they open the register and the register was completely empty... I asked if they were slow today or if somebody called in and they're backed up and they said yes, but these reviews are very telling. I regularly place large orders with Mountain Mike's in Berkeley for my employees and I've always had a wonderful experience, great customer service, and the team loves their food. I decided to order from this location for my family tonight because we live nearby and I didn't want to drive to the places we normally order from. Terrible mistake. I ordered online and received a receipt which included tax, but I wasn't prompted to pay until I arrived. I was also given a "Promise Time". I arrived 10 mins after that promise time and was told my pizza was still in the oven and would be ready in 2 mins. No problem, I paid for the pizza, but when I looked at my receipt, I was charged $3 more than my online receipt. I showed the cashier both, and he asked someone in the back, came back and said sorry, nothing he can do because they charged me the right price. I showed him the email confirmation again and he just shrugged. Ok... I know it's just $3, but that's not how it should have been handled. I ended up waiting another 20 mins, 30 minutes past my "promise time" before the pizza was ready. So I paid more than I was supposed to, waited longer than I was promised, and not even an apology. While I was waiting, I observed how dirty this place was, and their food practices seemed questionable. Will definitely not be returning. read more

What a dump. Signs outside indicate lunch buffet from 11am to 2pm. I come in at noon. There are no pizzas on the buffet and the heating table had not even been turned on. I asked if the buffet was still open and she said yes. The salad bar was very sparce and variety was limited. The spinach was wilted and no bleu cheese dressing, etc. The bathroom toilet was leaking and there was water all over the floor. The bathroom was disgusting and had an awful order. Inside tables had pizza boxes all over them for take out and there were only 3 usable tables for guests to sit at. This caused a man and his two boys to share my table as I was alone. Boxes were stacked in front of one of the restrooms blocking the door. The sodas were very flat with no syrup and I poured out 5 different sodas. I drank water instead even though I paid for soda. There was water on the floor at the soda machine and in front of the salad bar. I waited 20 minutes to get my buffet pizza and all she brought out was a small half combo half pepperoni. She later asked me how I was. I asked her if she could do a Hawaiian pizza. She said I would have to eat all of the first pizza before she would make another pizza. I asked her since that was the case why didnt she ask me initially when I ordered what kind of pizza I wanted. She reluctantly made me a personal Hawaiian. From the outside the small retail center looks nice. There is a major State building right across the street. However, the immediate surrounding area is littered with broken down RVs, homeless, and garbage. Im guessing take out is their bread and butter. This place is an absolute disappointment. It is very clear that this business is thinning product just to increase revenue. I will never go back and I hope you take this review in to consideration. My family ordered delivery from here last weekend, so easy and convenient. The location is great and they are pretty speedy with getting the food out. We ordered a salad to feed 5-6 people and it was MASSIVE! Made for multiple meals. I love pepperoni jalapeño pizza and they seriously deliver with the jalapeños. I don't live any further than a 6-7 min drive from this Mountain Mikes and order delivery all the time because I don't have a car. They're usually always on point and I never had any issues until today. I ordered a personal pep pizza a drink and cinnamon churros. The churros came without cinnamon on them and we're just fried bread sticks. So I called the store and told them and the team mate on the phone checked in with who he said was the manager of the store and the same guy that does the deliveries. They told me that there was probably a kitchen issue. (Which is obvious but still fine.) BUT then told me he wasn't sure what I wanted them to do about it. Like wait what? So I asked him if they could redeliver the churros. He put me on hold to ask the manager and then told me "Sorry no we can't do that." Okay.. I told him well I paid with cash and I'm sitting here with fried bread lol but you can't redeliver? This is ridiculous, you guys have to do something. There was an awkward pause as he wasn't saying anything lol. Then finally he told me he could offer me a discount on my next purchase. I just took it because I had pay cash and how else was I going to get a refund? If the manager wasn't willing to drive 6 mins for my churros, the manager wasn't gonna drive back to give me my money either. All in all the team member didn't handle the situation badly, it was the manager I was shocked at. Like you should be doing quality checks before you even leave the store. Is that not a thing anymore? Then to tell someone "We're not sure what you want us to do about it?". LOL. Two stars for ok pizza that was as expected. No stars for the delivery. I tipped $25 in advance for three pizzas to ensure the order got there on time for a birthday party, only to have it be very late. We were at a venue and some of the kids didn't even get to eat because it was so late and our time at the venue was up. The Family that runs this Place is Shockingly inappropriate, Very Rude and they are not kind to people. We ordered 2 large Pizza's & 2 garlic breads. We went to pick up order that costed almost $80.00. We politely asked if we can have some Ranch dipping Sauce as the kids always enjoy their slices and Sticks with Ranch. I feel that's pretty common with kids asking for ranch dipping sauce. The cashier told me I had to pay for ranch, which is fine however dosn't 2 orders of Garlic sticks warrant at least 1 sauce each order? I'm pretty sure that's the industry standard . So After the young cashier went to the back to speak with a manger about providing 2 small ranch dipping sauces, she came back with attitude and through 2 sauces on the counter without saying anything... Almost like she was mad that she had to give us 2 sauces.... I told the young lady we have lots of kids and they would like more Ranch. she very rudely says " you have to buy the Ranch Sauce " okay however we just spent $80.00 here, the right thing to do is at least give us a handful of those small ranch containers.... Right? Who's with me here I completely understand if i order a personal pizza and i only spent $12.00 then yes that customers should absorb the extra ranch dipping sauce they are asking for... however when a family gives this place business to feed their children and spending almost $100.00 I think this is the customer that says hey thank you for the large order please enjoy a handful of ranch sauce for the children....
