I'm a fan of Round Table Pizza, as I'm an East Bay girlie who grew up on these (WTG Pinole for being the highest selling RTP in 1998!). This Round Table has the right sauce and pizza, but the toppings or how they put together the pizza leaves me going to other restaurants in the chain. + PROS + + Always running a coupon, and they added a coupon on the box of my latest order + Usually fast turnaround from ordering (15-25 minutes, haven't had to wait longer + The staff is pleasant and kind - CONS - - Seems to put less toppings (cheese, veggies, meat) on the pizza than the rest of the chains - Unsure the mushrooms are from the parent company as they seem to wither and not taste like some of the other locations - Seems hard to get in and out of since the parking lot doesn't have a protected light in and out, but there are lights right nearby causing constant traffic Would suggest going to a different location to get the classic Round Table experience. read more

I've been a regular and loyal customer at this RT pizza for years. In fact, their register history shows I've been in their system since 2013. It's actually been longer, because their high prices are slightly less and their King Arthur Supreme and other pizzas are slightly tastier and more flavorable than the corporate owned Pinole RT and Richmond Parkway RT, of both I am in closer proximity. But on June 9th, 2026, I made my usual call to order, and was told I needed to give them a credit card number to place my first order over the phone. I told them I've been ordering for years and this was not my first order. They didn't believe me. So I stopped by on my way home, and had them explain this new policy. Their records showed my name, phone number, and initial date of phone order in 2013. But, all my orders had been wiped clean; I asked if they had been hacked???? Normally, they know what I order on a regular basis because it reflects in their computer register. This time they tell me that since there are no orders since 2013, I need a first order, which means I need to give them a credit card #. I thought it was some sort of scam that the employees were pulling. So I asked for the manager who was not there. I came back two days later to speak with the manager and she gave me the same "a new policy by the owner," and was very dismissive. She couldn't tell me who the owner is, because it angered me that all of my orders, for the last 13 years, had been wiped clean, so my first order requires a credit card. I met an owner of this RT years ago who explained to me his RT was not a part of the corporate retail chain, but individually owned. I would like to speak with him again. Though this was my favorite RT, and I was trying to support this business in spite of some very ugly mishaps over the years with some poorly trained employees, this policy has me ordering elsewhere. read more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Shout out to "Esmeralda" for going above and beyond and allowing me to pick up my pizza, just as they were about to close. She was friendly and so patient. By accident, I went to the Pinole Round Table to pick up a pizza that was actually ordered at the San Pablo location. It was 9:50pm when I got to Pinole. They had already locked the doors and just waved me off. I made a bunch of noise and they finally came close enough to hear me (with major attitude, like I was annoying them). After realizing that my pizza was actually at San Pablo location,I hauled butt over there. It was probably 9:59pm but Esmeralda greeted me with a smile, had my pizza ready and even though she had just logged out of the register, she didn't act annoyed at all to reopen it for me to pay. Service was terrible! Workers were rude, especially Sara her attitude was very nasty and unattended from the moment we walked in the door. Another associate attempted to assist as she ignored us, standing at the register to which she rudely gesture for them to go away. A lot of people say this place is old .. Yes it is , But it has great customer service , Pizza's taste good . And you get treated right . I've seen the reviews and I have witness very rude customer's I've felt so bad for the employees. But they managed to stay calm and be professional. So this location needs a lot of help. The place itself is old,floor is cracked at the doorway entrance. The workers are not very friendly.no one wears hair nets,and I watched an employee make a pizza and no measuring of cheese and no gloves.the TVs were not running, the salad bar closed down,the draft beers, seems that the kegs needed to be fixed?? Oh and no public bathroom for use. Worker said bathroom also out of order, waiting for someone to come fix that. I am an avid King Arthur's lover, but the dine out experience i had at this Roundtable location is giving me serious doubt about ever coming back AND telling a few folks from my softball league folks to avoid at all cost. My server, M, was rude, ignorant, and totally oblivious to her customers wants and needs. First without any prior knowledge she assumed me and my fiance would be sharing the same bowl from the salad bar. She made this assumption very loudly, loud enough to make others intrigued in our conversation. NEXT she refused to accommodate requests and ignored me when I asked for another 1oz cup of salad dressing. We asked for fresh vegetables she did not accommodate. She even managed to lose our order. As far as the facility the soda machine would not stop dispensing soda for 10 min straight. Didn't matter anyway, there was no ice to add. This trip to one of my FAVORITE pizza establishments was bizzmal disappointment, as a longtime Roundtable fan, I always promote your establishments this one left me feeling unsatisfied, irate, and very irritated. My husband and I usually love getting Round Table Pizza and typical go to the Pinole location. Today we were in the San Pablo area and decided to try it's location. By far this location was the worst! The King Arthur Supreme pizza was under sauced and didnt taste as great as it normally does... Worst experience ordering pizza over the phone! I called and placed an order today and a guy answered and took our order at 4:23pm. I waited over an hour and called back. A woman answered the phone, asked for my name and supposedly checked on my order and said that all the drivers were out and that it would be another 20min. I called back a little over 20min after that only for them to tell me that they couldn't find out order at all. I asked to speak to the manager and it sounded like the same guy who put me on hold. He acted like I never called at all, I am including photos for proof of all my calls to that number. He was very unprofessional, not apologizing or anything just saying there's nothing he can do because there's no history of an order. His crew is obviously untrained and will lie to your face. I called in an order for one XL pizza and 12 garlic Parmesan bread sticks and a family salad. They said 20 min I arrive and still not ready - I waited and they took OVER an hour to fill my order - I had a looong day and just wanted to get home and feed my kids - but these people did not keep their word of 20 minutes!! It was more like 1 hour and 30 min waiting. Then after waiting they handed me 11 Garlic Parmesan sticks - not 12- and an empty tiny salad container to fill the salad myself from the salad bar. I love around Table Pizza . But this particular one has terrible customer service. I went online and ordered 2 Large pizzas. The order confirmed that our order would arrive 30 mins from ordering. It never and no one ever called. I waited outside in the cold until midnight. I tried calling in to see what was going on and they were closed. I checked my call log and no calls came in. I called the next day and asked to talk to the manager, I explained that my pizza never came and she said that she was notified about the order and it was cancelled. I checked my bank and there was no refund issued . She also said that they called me and was very argumentative with me and very rude over the phone. Never apologizing or trying to understand that as a consumer I am only going by the confirmation I received and had no reason to think otherwise about if my pizza was coming. Her reply was for me to do what I gotta do. I asked her, her name and she hung up on me. This was the worst experience I ever had at a Round Table ever. This round tables restaurant has been here as long as I can remember. I've been driving by for at least the last 17 years. I finally went in today for a light affordable lunch by myself. Parking was available and the restaurant was empty. It's a Sunday morning around 1130pm so I wouldn't expect a crowd of people. The cashier was very kind as he took my order and explained the lunch menu to me. I was able to get a medium drink, a personal two topping pizza and a Cesar or harder salad. My total came out to $11.06. My order was brought out to me as I was seated. Everything was delicious and fresh especially the salad. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was kind. This is the second time, I receive terrible service. I've called to place and order on wings. They told me it will be "30 minutes". I show up , the wings aren't made. Made a big mistake. Ordered using their app on line. It didn't select the closest location. They called me back to confirm my order. No problem I get that. I went to the Albany San Pablo first, wrong store. So I headed up San Pablo to the correct location. 5 staff behind the counter and some yahoo from out of the country never had pizza is grilling the one attentive staff member on selections.... for ten minutes! Meantime the other staff are acting like George Castanza, trying to look busy while doing... NOTHING! Finally the guy pays for his order, after 2 minutes shuffling through wadded up papers in his pockets and counting coins and lint, he whips out his credit card realizing he didn't have enough cash. I tell the nice enough lady I'm There for pick up. Give name etc. they don't have my pizza. What? Some jabroni Stops polishing nothing and steps in to assist. They literally don't have my pizza. No on line orders. One more location up San Pablo they say. If I hadn't paid for this sucka on line I'd have given up! But I get in my car to head to Hilltop But in a flicker of genius, I decide to call back the number that called me to confirm order. Same jabroni answers the phone. I ask him for land marks. He starts rattling off places I see from my window as I drive. What!!! this is your location. Why don't you have my pie? "Sorry sir we just don't. " "Then how am I calling you on the number you called me to confirm my order." He covered the mouth piece of the phone and I hear muffled talking. "Ok sir sorry it's here under another section for on line orders". Rather than argue, I made a u turn and headed back. He hands me my pie. "What about the Diet Pepsi I also ordered?" He disappears to the back and produces Pepsi a minute later. I said I asked for DIET Pepsi". He looked at the printed receipt where I left Zero tip. Incredulous he reluctantly went to the back and after another minute produced the Diet Pepsi. He sarcastically said "have a nice evening." I couldn't get out of heir fast enough! In my angry exit I should have looked at the order. Or as the do in other places, they show me the order by opening the box and asking if I want cheese and peppers. Obviously Jabroni was pissed off he actually had to work for a few minutes, pissed off the Diet Pepsi was clearly listed on the receipt and he had to walk somewhere in back twice to get the correct order. Upon opening the pie at home which was soggy and lukewarm, they had the wrong order. I ordered thin crust, I got regular. After a couple of soggy limp slices that stuck to the box... I had to Charles the thing! (Charles as in Chuck) I've learned my lesson! Should have gone to little star!!! Footnote After this post Kevin the owner GM did apologize for the staff errors and offered to provide restitution for the issue and error made on the above order. My phone was acting up so I'm not sure he got this. I only came to this location cause my Order was paid for. Where to begin? Delivery was over 15 minutes late. I was given the wrong pizza and had to chase the delivery boy down. I don't think that pizza should have been taken back and delivered after leaving his hands (I sure would not want it). Anyway, when I got my pizza I am pretty sure it was still wrong because I swear I paid for a large and the box had a big M which I assume was for medium. Unfortunately I never got an email receipt despite ordering online and I also didn't get a paper receipt to make a proper complaint. Worst of all, the pizza was a little burnt/dry and not as enjoyable as I know pizza can be. Quite disappointing when I was craving the saucy and cheesy goodness. I can't see myself giving this place another try as even in person pre-pandemic the pizza at this location was pricy and mediocre. Yea if you do come here make sure the lady isnt there. Ive lived in the area my whole life and used to come here every week pretty much, maybe even twice. But the new lady working, which i think is the manager, is very rude. I just came in today to ask for a few things, extra sauce and anchovies for my pizza from the night before. She looked at me like i was crazy as she was taking out her airpod, as if i disturbed her. Strange, when she first started there she was very cheery. My advice, work somewhere you like, makes everyone's day easier. Otherwise customer service is good, when shes not there of course, and pizza is alright. Chicken and pizza certainly has lost quality over the years. The interior is pretty gross but i dont mind as long as the food is good, which it isnt.
