I should have written this long ago. Dave Mountain's crew painted our almost-100 year-old house the summer of 2021, during the bad heat, and they were wonderful, as human beings *and* painters. Our beautiful stucco house had been given a shoddy paint job before we bought it and the paint was in horrible condition. Dave understood the pitfalls of working with an old stucco house and spent a considerable amount of time researching the best process and materials. In the end, he felt we needed to remove as much of the old paint as possible before we could consider repainting. He found very cool removal stuff that was not toxic. His guys painted it on and after a few days, much of the old paint came off. Then, the guys got up on ladders and scraped. For days they scraped. In the horrible hot sun they scraped. They were always polite, good-humored, responsive, kind. And they got the #$%^ paint off. Dave was on site often during the removal process *and* the painting. He is a down-to-earth, genuine guy who knows his stuff. I had a couple of things I brought up at the last minute and he was completely responsive even though I'm sure it was a pain. One of the things was the front screen door. It's on old, oversize door with grillwork covering the screen that no one could figure out how to remove so we could get new paint baked on. I was resigned to trying to hand paint it, but Dave persuaded me that it was a crazy idea because it would make me nuts. He had his guys perform some magic, with the understanding that it's going to be redone eventually. It looks great (and I think he was right-- it would have made me nuts.) Our house looks amazing. For weeks after, people walking by complimented us on the color choice and the paint job. We can't take credit for even the choice of color-- we worked with a designer Dave recommended. The best thing we did for our old house was bring Dave Mountain in. You should too. read more

Awesome job! Hired Dave & his team for our interior after a remodel in April 2019. They did an awesome job. we have a lot of trim in a 100 year old house and lap/plaster walls, they sanded & prepped, caulked, and did a fantastic job. we are using them for exteriors later this summer and can't wait for the outside to be as beautiful as our inside. read more

We had a painter we previously used and were happy with, but when he flaked on showing up to get painting done at my new house, I panicked. We were on a tight timeline to get painting done before other work was lined up and we needed to move in. I found Dave through the Yelp Request Quote function and he was exceptional throughout the process: * Showed up on time to walk the property and prepare bid. * Had quote to me the same day, and was willing to break it down so I could choose which rooms were most important to me as our budget allowed for. * Was able to arrange schedule so painting was done prior to floors being refinished. * Communicated throughout the entire process. Though Dave was not the one performing the work, the crew he sent was EXCEPTIONAL and I was super impressed with the hole patching they did as well as filling in settling cracks and corners where you could see drywall tape. We have orange peel textured walls and I couldn't even tell the spots where they had done repairs. The crew was delayed by a day due to snow and unsafe road conditions (I totally understood!) but they still finished the job by the original promised date by showing up early and staying late to make up for lost time. He is super professional and great to work with; he responds to e-mails quickly and kept us updated on scheduling. His quote was detailed and right on target with the other estimates we got for our project. I can't say enough about Dave's service, response time and willingness of the staff to accommodate my appointment even with less than 24 hour work date request timetable. I was able to schedule an appointment the next day after I called to inquire about services. My required request (painting a large complete hallway with 14ft ceilings, plus base board trim) was completed in just over 8 hours. This job would normally take two people with taping, sealing and applying multiple coats of paint. BUT NO.... Jaime who was my contracted painter for this job was able to complete my job by himself amd the results are stunning. The short turn around time for my job was due to a faster than normal real estate listing for my home. Time was of the essence. Mountain Painting was able to help me prepare my home for showing faster than expected. The cost was great and there wasn't even a rush charge added to my order. I had to do a last minute schedule change due to MY inability to pick colors, and he was very professional about this despite having to reschedule his team to a different home. His crew (Arturo and brother) were excellent. They were exactly on time every morning, were polite, hardworking, and kind when they were in my home (and as a female alone in the home with them I felt very comfortable and not at all ill at ease-so appreciated). The painting job was perfect, and I am super PICKY! They even painted my ceilings in a few places where the original painters had gotten a tiny bit of paint on them in order to leave absolutely perfect lines between wall and ceiling. I would hire Mountain Painting a million times over.
