We stopped in here after a weekend away. It is our staple in Edson. It looks neat on the outside having a pyramid shape building. Inside it could use some renos. Really dated. But clean. Our server was friendly and prompt. However it took a long time for the food to come out. It mainly focuses on steak, pizza, and pasta. My husband decided on the mountain extra special pizza - pepperoni, ham, mushroom, green pepper, onion, olive, tomato & shrimp. I splurged and got the French Onion soup and the Bison Ribeye which was 48.65. I chose the spaghetti for a side. Food came slow which was interesting because we were basically the only ones there. However, the food was amazing. That bison steak was so delicious and perfectly cooked. The spaghetti was generous and flavourful and the soup was rich and tasty. My husband enjoyed his pizza. The food is fine. High in oil. The service is okay. I really struggle with the way the COVID-19 pandemic was handled. They remained open when there were orders to close and that didn't sit right with me. They claimed they could not close because they didn't have money and couldn't pay their staff, but then just completed a giant renovation. I would gladly recommend other places in the area over this questionable establishment. read more

This restaurant is family owned and been here since the mid 70s. They consistently make delicious pizza and other foods. Today my family was very satisfied with two medium pizzas. The restaurant is shaped like a mountain and there's lots of parking. If you are towing a trailer, as we are today, there is lots of parking on the street for long vehicles. read more

Not gonna lie, when my coworkers were excited about going here for dinner I wasn't expecting much. I mean, most of the restaurants out in Edson are Mom & Pop places (heavily laden with burgers & pizza) and of course if you wanna go fancy there's the Boston Pizza. Honestly not thinking it would be busy, we didn't make reservations. But when we arrived, it was packed! Luckily we got a table within 10 mins. Scanning the menu, I could see they were staying true to their name - they were really focused on steak and pizza. I settled on the bacon wrapped sirloin. It came with a starter house salad and garlic bread. I'm not a huge bread fan, but my coworkers insisted I try some. I am so glad I did! The toasted slices were wonderfully coated with garlicy goodness Yummmmm All our steaks arrived together and we all dug in. I was thoroughly surprised because it was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had! Now I know I can look forward to some good eats the next time I'm in Edson. read more

I ordered chicken cacciatore and my husband ordered a pizza. His dish arrived and he loved it. I was still waiting on my by the time he was 1/2 finished. My order arrived burnt. Our waitress asked if I wanted them to prepare another dish, but I was tired and hungry and accepted it. About 3 bites into, I stopped eating--it was tastless. Our waitress noticed and, without hesitantion, asked me I wanted to replace it. I ordered the sirloin and loved it. Kudos for the waitress. Not cheap but worth every penny. The one in Whitecourt opened in 1979 and is every bit as good. Some of the cooks and waitresses have been working here since it opened and many of the others for plus 25 years. read more

This Edson based restaurant is my favorite in town, I've been here many times over the years and they continue to keep a delicious reputation. "Mt Steak and Pizza" is good to dine in with a unique architecture too, the restaurant is mountain shaped! They have an excellent menu for steak/ribs, pizza and pasta. My steak was cooked exactly how i like it, it came with a baked potato you got to stuff yourself, with all the fixings sour cream, real bacon bits and fresh chives and don't forget to order some mushroom caps! This restaurant is family owned and they still put a lot of care into what they serve. I'm giving this restaurant five stars because I still compare it to many other steak and pizza joints when I go out. read more

We went for a bachelorette during covid. We made the reservation weeks in advance, when we showed up they made our group split it half and sit separately because they said they couldn't seat 6 together despite Alberta regulation stating that 6 people are allowed to sit together. They never said anything to us when we booked and they wouldn't allow us to push the 2 tables together. THEN they sat 2 TABLES OF 6 after us. Complete and utter bullshit. It took them an hour and 10 minutes to get our food out. Mine sat under a heat lamp for most of that, the steak was cut in half and overcooked garbage. They served another member of our group the wrong drink AND MADE HER PAY FOR IT. SERIOUSLY? Don't go there, I can assure you no one from our group will go again. read more

What can I say. Great steak. One of the best pizzas I've had anywhere in Alberta. Place is expensive but you get what you pay for. Place reminds me of a place my parents took me when I was a kid. Great memories. Don't go if you are in a rush. Can't rush a great meal. This is a place where you can enjoy the food, the atmosphere and your company. Always look forward to eating here. read more

The pizza is good but that is about it. Food is extremely slow coming out of the kitchen, and I would avoid their italian dishes at all cost. The marinara sauce is terrible and all the dishes taste the same. Doused in disgustingness. There are not many great restaurants in Edson, and this is just another one in that list. read more

My boyfriend, brother and I decided to do a trip to Edson for some dinner and we pick this restaurant. It was awful. The service was terrible! Our waitress didn't give us any other drinks but water, nor asked if we wanted any other drinks. The menu was very "meh" other than pizza there was nothing really to eat. I decided on the chicken souvlaki and my brother and boyfriend picked a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza. After what seemed like 20 minutes to get our food (we were the only people in the restaurant) I was highly disappointed with my meal. All there was on my plate was a plain chicken Kabob and a Cesar salad. No pita wrap or anything. I was disappointed. The boys pizza wasn't to great either. Although it look quite delicious it was cold. And we couldn't ask for a new one because once your waitress dropped off our food we never saw her until it was time to pay.
