What was once my favorite place for water is no longer in the top spot. In fact it has moved down my list quite a lot. These last two times I came in for water I was disappointed. With all of their large purification tanks with reverse-osmosis technology, I thought this made for really great tasting drinking water. Unfortunately, it seems that their equipment needs more maintenance, maybe cleaning of their purifiers, but I first noticed the change in the taste of the water last August. And I returned in January of this year, with no change - the water still tasted like a chlorinated swimming pool. New owners? Whatever the reason, the quality of the water has deteriorated. I am a consistent happy customer. The owners and those who work there are kind and helpful. The water is delicious. I don't know how I could drink 64 ounces of SJ faucet water! Yuck. Nor could I imagine wasting all the water bottles it would take if I bought water in plastic bottles. There are plenty of faucets to fill my 5 gallon water containers, so it's a very quick process. Neighbor referred us to this business when we were looking for a water place when the one we frequented closed down. This place has a lot going on, tax services, food, water ... water is good. For an extra fee you can use their turbo wash to rinse your water jugs. They offer "memberships" pay up front for # of gallons and save, every time you visit they'll dock and keep track of how many gallons you have left. My only issue is every time there's issues. First this lady behind the register insisted we didn't add the turbo rinse to our membership when we did. Made me feel like she was doing me a favor and let me use it then the next time they said no it's clearly here in our database ... smh ... if you get the membership just make sure you keep your own record bc I feel you could get shortchanged. The business never opens on time and constantly changes their hours via a piece of paper on the door. You arrive at 10:45 to a scheduled opening of 10:00 and it's still closed. Today I arrived at 12:05 to a scheduled opening of 10:00 and see a note stating they will not open until 12 and still unable to open punctually. For a distilled water joint, I definitely thought it was a good experience. Turbo rinse machine (25 cents) had this fancy contraption to washing your bottles, and you get to fill your bottles yourself. 25 cents/gallon here, but becomes 20/gallon when you buy more than 5 gallons at a time or buy the membership. The turbo rinse actually helped a lot. I needed to do a vinegar rinse to wash my machine from storage, so the bottle smelled pretty bad. The turbo rinse - with its heat and pressure, made the smell go away completely. You can also get lottery tickets here too. The young guy behind the counter seemed really passionate about the place - taking the time to explain the inner workings of the machinery and how it makes their pure water great.
