Great drinks, great food, great service, will be back!!!! The brisket and pork were amazing, also friend's wife's Cuban looked bomb!!!!

Me and my friends went for my birthday dinner there the other day. We hadn't made reservations, so we had to wait for a table for a bit. No biggie. Our waitress took our drink orders and appetizer orders. We got the nachos. Very good. Would recommend Our waitress had not given us napkins the entire time we were there. After we had gotten our food she had not checked up on us to give us napkins. She also had not refilled our waters. We looked around at other tables and had noticed that she had given them napkins. She even was telling the other tables the specials of the day. We did not get that. She was not the nicest to our table, but was very accommodating to others. My table always made sure to say please and thank you. She was very dismissive and not very kind. But regardless we tipped 20%. I'm sick and tired of not getting good service just because we are young adults and you don't think we'll tip. The dish my friend ordered said the brisket was also extremely dry and it did not come with the side sauce that was labeled on the menu. Overall most likely won't be coming back here for dinner. But I highly recommend getting appetizers! read more

Not one healthy option on the menu besides a bare bone salad for $21. NOT TO MENTION - they are out of half the menu items!!!! Did they even try to prepare for the holiday weekend? In addition to this, the service is terrible, the servers are rushed, and the food runners slammed the food on the table almost spilling the sauce on me. Never again. read more

My wife heard good things and she wanted to go here for mother's day. We made reservations and arrived at 1:30 PM. Plenty of gravel parking on both sides of the restaurant. It was a rainy day so we didn't get to enjoy the outside bar and the various lawn activities - however this place looks like a lot of fun on a sunny day. Interior was new but with that piney rustic charm. Some booths, high tops and various tables throughout the restaurant. The restaurant was packed but we were seated immediately. Drinks took a while but to no fault of the wait staff as they were hustling. Apps came immediately but main courses also took a while (+45 mins). Staff was friendly, attentive, the beer was cold and we weren't in rush. Now to the real star - I ordered the open faced roast beef, my wife and son both ordered the Smokehouse platter. This place is known for their great smokey meats and that was apparent as soon as the aroma hit your nose. In relation to the open faced sandwich I believe they use the pit beef because it had a great smoky flavor, the gravy was delicious and this dish ranks high in my book. The buffalo wings were excellent and smokey, the nashville hot sauce was spicy with more of a bbq flavoring. My family really enjoyed their bbq platters, there was a lot of food but none to take home. Overall - we had a great time. Pricing was okay with most entrees ranging from $15-$25. They do have a 4% credit card fee which was steep. I could see this place having "off" nights but for this location I'd charactarize it as a hidden gem. We visited Mountain Top and Provisions on a Sunday afternoon at the urging of coworkers. The restaurant and it's surrounding outdoor area (bar, stage, etc) look great! It's like a wooden oasis in the woods - go see it and that might make sense. Service cost a star on this rating. It was friendly, but it was slow. We spent almost two hours having one beer a piece, an appetizer and two burgers. Twelve of New Jersey's (not quite) finest shows up on side by sides just a few minutes after our arrival and made themselves appear to be more important than everyone else. The ringleader (who might have been Rosie O'Donnell was keeping the wait staff busy with her questions and demands. It's no fault of the staff, but our experience suffered, and honestly, Rosie and Co should have been shown the door rather than showing them the drink menu again. The food was pretty damn good. Those Hub Fries are bad - but in that good 80's kind of way. They were loaded up with all sorts of stuff that tastes amazing on its own. So when you add it all together, it works well. They are a meal in themselves. You've been warned. Burgers were also good. The bun was the awesome. The light smoky flavor went a long way and the choice of cheese was legit. There was a little bit of sticker shock when a 4% credit card fee was added. Fees are the cool new trend, but they factor into deciding on a return visit. read more

UnFortunately, when we were there last Saturday for a major celebration with a group of friends, they appeared to be understaffed. The waitress was good, but but she had too many tables to cover. They also appeared to be short staffed on bartenders and it took a long time to get drinks. We even had offered to buy a round of drinks for everyone and it never happened. We ordered appetizers and didn't get small plates. We even bussed our own table of empty glasses and bottles to help to make room. It's a great venue and we enjoy coming here. Stopped by on my way to NJ from Coudersport. 1) Great vibe. Rustic and woodsy but not shabby. 2) Service was friendly and attentive. 3) Fried green tomato appetizers were really delicious and not greasy. 4) Entree salad was very good and fresh. 5) The wife's Turkey sandwich was "the best sandwich I've had in years". She couldn't finish it, so the dog did. He liked it a lot, too. Five stars. I can't wait to have an excuse to return. read more

Had such a great experience from the delicious food to the amazing atmosphere. Tried the Mex dip (OMG SO GOOD), fried spicy chicken sandwich (nice heat but a little dry), cheesesteak (meat was so tender), dill potato salad (talk about mouthwatering) and the pub pretzels. The place was very busy so best to get there for an early dinner or late lunch. Waitress was very professional and friendly. Only negative was we ordered an appetizer and it was not made, but we reminded staff and asked for it to go. Thank god we did because the pub pretzels were so good as a midnight snack! Would have taken more pictures of the food we got but was so hungry we dove right in to eating. read more

very horrible service, no hostess to provide seating, allowed a large reserved party for tables take over the bar. they allow reservations of very large parties even though they cant really accomodate them. they over book reservations, run out of food (specials due to poor planning). I would no recommend to go unless you want drive to a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, possibly dont get served or seated and if you do you may or may not get the food you want. The hours they run are not suitable for the amount of people they have. To shut the kitched down at 8 pm with people still coming in because its not that late doesnt make sense. So if you really want to go, go at noon when they open. Otherwise if you go at dinner time unless your geriatric and eat at 4 pm dinner you may not get food and will have very long wait times to be seated. read more

Do not order the wings with old bay hot sauce. First of all these wings were so hot it felt like my whole was burning and flames coming out of my eyeballs. Secondly they tasted nothing like old bay. I would like to note that my cocktail was amazing so it made up for the wings I could not finish eating. I just wanted to warn others. read more

Unbelievably good barbecue!! I have been with my family many times and always get friendly service and delicious meats. My son loves the hush puppies and we always get pickle chips too! They have a full bar and great beer selection, totally worth the trip!!! read more

We visited October 9, 2021 there was a group of five of us motorcycle riders. I ordered the mountain top burger it was very good. The fries that came with it were soggy. The fries were saturated in oil and not crispy at all. It is a very nice restaurant and I hope someone fixes the fry problem read more

We just happened to find Mountain Top and Provisions while staying in the area. I was pleasantly surprised with everything here! We ate on the deck, which looked to be a recent addition. The atmosphere was welcoming and our server was friendly. We were able to have our little one in his stroller with plenty of room. The food was fantastic - although we dined on a "non-smoke" week, the dry rub chicken wings were delicious and perfectly crisp! We also had a great salad as well as sourdough & peppers. We will likely return while in the area and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a casual atmosphere with excellent food! read more

Spring fever sent us down West Branch way, and I ventured there for lunch with some friends yesterday. As we were making several stops, we originally considered stopping somewhere else for appetizers and then coming here for a main meal. I'm glad we changed our minds, because there is so much yummy stuff to try on this menu, I would've been sorry to have missed it! We shared the Pork Belly Bites, Banana Peppers and Country Sourdough, Mountain-Mex Dip, and an appetizer special of homemade sausage bites. Nothing was a miss. I especially enjoyed the house made tortilla chips with the queso. I also shared a Quesabirria, which incorporated brisket and queso. Delicious. We continued our tour and as dinner time rolled around, we actually considered going back because we had talked about how great the food was all day. We didn't yesterday, but I'm looking forward to my next trip back soon. Also super knowledgeable and friendly staff; they were attentive and answered all of our questions. read more

Stopped in while staying in the area and am so glad we did. First, everyone working there was very friendly and appreciative of our business. The food was awesome! My wife got the brisket burger and Mac and cheese. I got the Duo (pulled pork and brisket) sandwich with Mac and cheese. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious!
