My wife is writing an article about local craft beers, so we're making our rounds. Riepstine's selection is really interesting and from what I tried also very tasty. They have some basic IPAs, darker beers and ciders, as well as off the wall stuff like a banana/bubblegum wheat beer and a golden ale steeped in cucumbers (both of which are fantastic). Come check it out it's some good stuff!

Very yummy! We had the hot ham and cheddar and the cheese burger. House chips were awesome! Highly recommend food and beer!

Great place! Local grown and produced food and beer. Very chill spot and the food was fresh and incredibly good. I'll be back!

If you are in the area and it's before 8:00 not a bad choice, nothing exceptional about the place but nothing terrible either. Small menu, sandwiches and what not; several beers on tap all made on premises but all "meh". IPA's way out of balance to the hoppy bitter side, rest of line up just lifeless, try a sampler instead of a pint (thank me later). Service ok but in that strange country small town way... Heading to bullfrog next with higher expectations.

It's no secret that PA's craft beverage scene is positively booming more than any other state in the country. Situated on the former site of an antique store, Bullfrog Brewery has sat on West 4th Street for 30 years in the vibrant downtown and stands out with both its flagship pub and a dedicated production facility, where my partner, his family, our friends, and I decided on dinner yesterday. A reservation was made for a party of 10. Upon entering, some of us as first-timers were greeted by the staff in a historic building with its brick and brass features along the brewing vats looming in the bar and dining areas. The vibe was warm, relaxed, and full of character. It's the kind of place where one instantly feels at home with indoor and outdoor dining options. Their menu tends to be hearty and comforting cuisine consisting of familiar savors of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and wings as well as more unique flavors and options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan patrons. For starters, we ordered Fried Pierogi, Roasted Cauliflower, and Sesame Pepper Tuna. Our main meal consisted of a Fried Fish Sandwich, Garlic-Crusted Chicken, Veggie Mac & Cheese, and Frogobello Sandwich, to name a few. The food was cooked well, tasty, and came out in a very timely manner. The staff were friendly and welcoming, checking in at the right intervals and ensuring we had everything we needed. Our server was Michael. It's a well-deserved local institution that makes an indelible mark.

The owner treats employees like shit, plays favorites, and seems to care far more about money than the people actually keeping the restaurant running. As a server, I was repeatedly skipped, given bad sections, and put in situations where I had significantly fewer opportunities to make money while other employees were given tables. Instead of communicating professionally, the owner was rude, petty, and made the work environment unnecessarily hostile. And yes, there was a rat problem. I personally witnessed it while working there and was literally made to clean it up myself. That isn't gossip or something I heard secondhand -- it is something I personally dealt with. I wouldn't recommend working here, and after what I personally saw behind the scenes, I wouldn't recommend eating here either. Customers have every right to decide what kinds of businesses they want to financially support, and personally, I would never choose to give my money to an owner who treats employees this way. There are plenty of locally owned businesses that value their staff, treat people with basic respect, and deserve the community's support. In my opinion, spend your money at one of them instead.
