For the last three years we have planned a "friendcation" to Blue Ridge, Georgia and every year we've used Mountain Top Cabin Rentals to book our cabin. Mountain Top Cabin Rentals offers luxury cabins to accommodate every occasion from cozy romantic getaways to large family reunions. Each year we've been thoroughly pleased with our accommodations as well as the customer service from Mountain Top Cabin Rentals. This year we booked our trip very last minute. We were lucky to even get a cabin considering we were only a couple weeks away from our desired time. We needed a place that would sleep at least six adults. We ended up booking a cabin that was nice but probably wouldn't have been our first choice had we not planned our trip last minute. Mountain Top Cabin Rentals gave us a 10% discount for being repeat customers (they also offer a 10% military discount). The first year we stayed in Bear Retreat. This cabin has a very similar layout to the one we stayed in this year, featuring a bedroom on each floor. That year we stayed in the downstairs bedroom which had an amazingly comfortable king sized bed, sitting area, wet bar, and private balcony with hammock (where I spent every morning admiring the mountains). Last year we stayed in Blue Sky Lodge which was a beautiful cabin perched high in the mountains. The road to Blue Sky Lodge was gravel, winding, and steep; if we had not been traveling in an all-wheel-drive car, we would have struggled to make it to the top. (The cabin description includes the disclaimer that a 4×4/AWD vehicle is necessary to make it to the top and they weren't joking!) But the view from the cabin was stunning and well worth the drive. We spent every night wrapped up in blankets sipping cocktails by the outside fireplace. The kitchen featured state of the art appliances and a gas range. Our only complaint about the cabin was the hard beds. Otherwise, it was perfect. This year we stayed in Big Sky View. This three bedroom cabin offers a screened in porch with full view of the mountainscape. The open kitchen was nice for our cooperative cooking. We stayed in the upstairs master suite which featured a screened in balcony, garden tub, and loft that was perfect for Emme. We had a few complaints about this cabin, like the second floor tub didn't drain, it was missing tools for the fireplace, the sheets on the downstairs bed were dirty, and kitchen needed some better supplies. But we also have been so spoiled by the previous years that this cabin just didn't seem as on par. All three of the cabins we've stayed in have provided amenities like a hot tub, grill, pool table, and indoor fireplace. Upon checking out this year, we asked for recommendations on the best cabins. Without skipping a beat, both customer service representatives suggested Amazing Grace as their most popular cabin. They also let us know they would be adding two new cabins to their properties. We will continue to use Mountain Top Cabin Rentals so long as we make trips to Blue Ridge. read more

This is one of those time where I had to call my mom to let her know she was right. She had come here a few times and I was never able to make it. However, I finally made it out here with my girlfriend (we are 31 and 28 years old). The town is small and nightlife minimal, but it has the perfect little bars and restaurants for a meal and light social life (pool tables or karaoke) before coming home to enjoy the beautiful fire pit and hot tub. That being said, the cabin is in a perfect quiet location with a beautiful view and you could stay in the cabin and cook on the balcony bbq and just enjoy nature. The ladies are wonderful and pointed out in the guidebook what we were looking for. The guidebook and list of local activities was spectacular to have. We would 100% book with them again! My mother in law reserved a cabin for 7 Days and I was very happy to accept the invitation. After the zig zagging of the roads, we drove up the the cabin. Amazing! Views were something you would see on a postcard. Full kitchen, flat screen TVs, Xbox, blue ray, fooseball table, jacuzzi, fireplace on the patio. I loved the oversized couch on the lower level which fit our party perfectly. The porch wasn't screened in, but I enjoyed the hot tub. Bugs were never an issue. Loved my room on the main level. I took a star away due to our bed. My bed was so atrocious, no support, squishy, I would wake up in the middle of the bed and feel like I was sharing the bed with the marshmallow man.... slowly being swallowed into the middle and climbing out... We stayed at A Beary Good Life Cabin needless to say We left a day early because this is by far the worst cabin experience ever ... if I could give less than a one I would ! Pay almost $1600 and they can't provide bath tissue or paper towels .... along with the fact the location of cabin was absolutely horrible. Also I go down to basement to take a shower I grab a towel that was supposed to be clean but thankfully I looked before I dried off, it seemed to have a poop stain on it and towel felt dirty. I think it's ridiculous all the rules that go along with this place also. I didn't go on vacation to clean someone's house all week. read more

We use Mountain Top Cabin Rentals all the time and they are ALWAYS professional and courtesy. Cabins are immaculate and comfortable and obviously well cared for. To suggest a company go bankrupt because of a charge for a broken light is ludicrous. And to either not notice or not report a broken light...hmmmm. How about some ownership or taking responsibility? I stay in cabins and rentals ALL the time and surely understand I am responsible for its contents once I enter. Who should eat the charge? Anyway... I was pleased with my entire process up until the day of check in. I wasn't happy with how the situation of bedding was handled. My cabin changed during my reservation process. I wasn't fully informed of this properly. The way the instance was handled once I was fully informed that the cabin no longer slept 10 due to the removal of a sleeper sofa (Removed 3 months prior to my stay and I only found out upon checkin), at which point the representative thought an apology was enough... though I did appreciate the apology having to tell one of my guests they were sleeping on a couch now or sleep on a couch myself was upsetting. It felt as though there was no remorse for the situation. When the rep asked me what I suggested I mentioned first someone delivering an air mattress which I was told no there are none on site and they would not deliver one from the office. Then I said well maybe a night off of my stay to which I was laughed at and told that is completely unheard of and would never happen. So as a final try to answer her question I said maybe a credit toward a future trip. She declined that as well and stated that 10 percent off should be good and that it would "more than cover an air mattress and I could even keep the air mattress" To which I said fine because at this point I've got my guests arriving and don't want this issue to spill over into our time together. I would also like to add that I paid around $700 for the cabin and my refund was around $45.... which I was also displeased with because I bought a $50 air mattress because my guests deserve a decent air mattress paired with the thinking that 10% of what I paid to book would cover that only to find... it did not. Lucky me though, I get to keep the air mattress. I had a lot of people looking for my review of the cabins but I will be telling them all of my experience and that I do not recommended due to this issue. Aside from the unfortunate event the cabin was beautiful and view was great. It was honestly just very unfortunate how this situation was handled so I warn for anyone who may encounter any issues within their stay as well. read more

I give this company 1 star, because I've learned they cannot be trusted. My first few visits with them were in a cabin with no non-slip padding. I had a fall, bruised the heck out of myself, but didn't blame anyone but myself. So we switched cabins for the next trip, and the beds were horrible. Nice cabin, but it was like sleeping on concrete. The office said there was nothing they could do for us, so we tried sleeping on the couches. The damage had already been done. I was sore for the entire week we stayed there and had to see a doctor when I got home. Three days of prescription strength muscle relaxers and sleeping on my mattress at home (which is classified as firm) was what it took to relieve my pain. We tried to work with them, but they did not want to accept any responsibility for the subpar sleeping conditions. I published an honest review of the cabin, to warn others of the mattresses. I didn't want others to be tricked into spending a large amount of money to stay at that cabin (Mountain Dream Lodge). The next day, the review was gone. These people are not honest. I'll never stay at another one of their cabins again. read more

During Covid the company should have better quality control. We stayed in "Southern Komfort". The house and views were beautiful but it was not especially clean and two people were riddled with bites from bed bugs!!!!!!!! Needless to say we couldn't actually use the house to it's fullest like the hot tub because we were not convinced it was clean. BEWARE! read more

We loved our vacation at the pinecrest cabin. Beautiful view of the mountains. Your a 30 minute drive from lots to do from hiking to fishing and tubing. You could just stay in and enjoy the cabin that has a game room and outside jacuzzi. read more

We stayed in the Wonderful Lodge this past weekend. It was GORGEOUS! Our party included myself, my husband, our two kids (9 & 12) and both of our mothers. Everyone agreed that this place was amazing. The cabin was beautifully immaculate. So clean and beautifully decorated. Every thing you could wish for is provided for you. I was even pleasantly surprised that there was a washer and dryer! This wasn't clearly stated in the description. The management was a fine tuned operation. Checking in was friendly and quick and checkout was a breeze! We have never been to the GA Blue Ridge mountains before. We wanted a place that was close enough from FL that we could drive because of COVID 19 and our friends actually have a house that they rent through Mountain Top Cabin Rentals so we looked online and found many beautiful options that were per friendly for our small dog! We stayed at Always On My Mind. The view was beautiful and the location was remote and relaxing. The house was immaculate and had everything you need to cook at home. The hot tub was a relaxing plus. We went in twice a day! One day the water went out and we called and it was fixed within an hour and a half and they called back to make sure it was on before they left for the day. The home was beautiful and as represented in the photos. The only comment I have is be sure you have a vehicle that can handle a narrow gravel bumpy road that is steep...we even had trouble in our 2 WD SUV! We will definitely be returning! We hope to see the Fall leaves! read more

Horrible Customer Service from staff and the owner of Mountain Top. There was no propane for the cabin so the heat did not work. (in December) the fireplace was broken. We had to stay the 1st night in a hotel!!! We complained about everything and were treated very rude and offered 50.00 bucks and a t-shirt! really? gee thanks. As Good As It Gets was a beautifully appointed 3 bedroom cabin with all the amenities we wanted/needed. The pictures were accurate and we enjoyed our long weekend stay. We visited in June, and the fireplaces in these cabins may be used during certain months. Since it was semi-cold and rainy during our stay, it would have been nicer to be able sit by the fireplace. With that exception, we would definitely rent again, just in the fall or winter. We had a fire pit in the yard, but with the rain it was harder to enjoy. read more

So mountaintopcabins has decided to respond to me on yelp. YES, the light was broken prior to our arrival regardless of whatever you think, say, believe. Im an honest and fair person and yes the cabins and properties are nice, its just unfortunate that you believe what you believe...I reiterate what I said in my previous post -- The lady (Tabitha, I suppose) said that "well, you reported some things broken and not others so you I have to charge for the light." Wow....just wow. That would hold up in any kangaroo court, but, lady, thats about it. You better revise how you assess damages because one day a sleez bag lawyer is going to rent from you and sue you into the ground should you make the same mistake with him/her. I cant say I wont gloat if it happens. Believe me when I say that post negative stuff about you all the time on facebook and badmouth you as often as I possibly can. This was our family's first rental through Mountain Top Rental Cabins. Quick review on them first. The staff was very friendly. Rental setup was easy enough but unusual as they had difficulties in receiving our signed contact. We chose a Pet Friendly cabin and paid the $35 pet fee for same but unfortunately, I missed reading the contract part that leaving the dog unattended was prohibited, so on departure day, we left behind our house friendly dog with a sitter. I believe the Pet Friendly contract provisions are self-destructing as it is not reasonable to expect that a dog would not be left unattended for short activities or dinner outings where dogs are not welcomed. I told the staff of my concern and that we left our dog behind, unfortunately we lost our "pet fee" in that a refund was stated to be impossible. So be aware, you will need to find a local sitter or kennel to leave your dog when travelling away from the "pet friendly" cabins. My bad in not reading this thoroughly so save your money on the extra charge if this will affect your trip. Lastly, departure transactions were easy and our deposit was promptly retuned within 3 days. A brief review of the Amazing View cabin: Lots of Pros: Finding the cabin via GPS was easy, although the literature we received warned us not to rely on same. The Amazing View cabin was charming and the view every bit "amazing". It was surrounded by more trees than the web pictures depicted which was nice. The A/C was used rarely even though our visit was at summer's peak. The cabin was well stocked with towels and kitchen wares for our party of 8. Nice sized flat screen TV's available and the wireless internet worked flawlessly (bring your PC, Roku or Chromecast for group showings of your day's travel pics ). The Hot Tub was prepared for use nicely. There is a large grill but same was not used. Wild life found were deer, turkeys, along with farms with horses and cows. No bear sightings this time . Family friendly activities everywhere. Hiking, rivers, creeks and falls certainly need to be on your to do list. Mountain Top Rental Cabins offers various activity discounts and every little bit helps. Their discount card was happily accepted at the listed vendors and restaurants. One minor Con: This cabin was a bit more "buggier" than our previous cabin experiences, with most isolated to the lower floor. Overall great experience for us and Mountain Top Rental Cabins is recommended for your Blue Ridge Mountain trip. read more

We loved the experience. I would have given 5 stars, but the water stopped working for a couple of hours on both weekend days. Apparently, the pump malfunctioned. Since I'm sure this is an isolated incident, I look forward to giving them a 5 star rating the next time we rent. read more
